When "John" tells Jack that he used the image of Jack's father to help him find water it may be true, BUT let's remember that Jack nearly fell off a cliff while chasing the ghost and it was John who saved his life. Did he really want to help him or was he trying to kill him? It is open to "interpretation" Great comments throughout the episode Mike, you're the best!

it seems like Desmond might’ve brought Sayid back from the dark side. I love that scene! Desmond is the best

This episode always catches me off guard and is much stronger than I remember! We're literally THIS close now 😭 4 more episodes.

We have to remember that during the first few seasons of the show, the writers didn't have everything fully planned out. That came after Season 3 with the writers strike when the creators negotiated with the studio to allow for 3 more full seasons. This is why the motivations of the Others shifts so dramatically when they are introduced in earnest. That said, you are right. It seems he was trying to kill them indirectly. After all... "John" is a master liar with dark intentions. Seems to me he was trying to kill Jack and at the very least divide the Losties up into Cave and Beach respectively. This allows for further parsing of knowledge, division and chaos...

The end is so close!!! Jin and Sun reunited after a long 29 episodes apart. 💜3 years in Lost time and over a year if you were watching when Lost was airing.

And we also saw that in the episode 6x4 (The Substitute) when he goes down with Sawyer to the cave and Sawyer almost fell and John had no choice but to "help" him.

@34:15 Is it just mine that skips "I'm sorry I got Juliet killed"? Mike, did you hear that line or did it skip for you?

You say Claire never died and got brought back ... You sure about that? Her house got blown up when Keamy attacked the barracks. The next day, Miles was giving her weird looks when they were walking through the jungle. Then MiB came to her as Christian and she left with him. Maybe she DID die when the house blew up, but MiB brought her back and the corrupted her as her father.... That's my theory anyway .

Yes, skipped for me too. I hope Mike heard it. Such a meaningful line.

I hate so much the way Smokey disrespects John Locke, calling him a sucker, an idiot, etc. :(

The moment Sun and Jin first see each other on the beach, I just start sobbing, knowing how fleeting that moment is. 😭

I saw this theory recently after many years of watching it and now subsequently rewatches aren’t the same. One of my fav fan theories and I’ve been side eyeing Claire ever since 👀
