Could These 14 PlayStation Games Migrate to Xbox? | Sacred Symbols+, Episode 467

It turns out the world never stops spinning, even when monumental news -- like Helldivers 2 going to Xbox Series X|S in August -- breaks upon the masses. Sacred Symbols and Sacred Symbols+ have focused a lot on Xbox's volley of PlayStation games, and well, the shoe's now on the other foot. There's no doubt this Helldivers 2 port opens up a litany of possibilities about the interplay between two historic rivals, and to discuss the developing situation, I (Colin) invited the Dukes to Sacred+. So please welcome both Matty and Cog, and join us as we chat about what we think of the big news before getting into 14 PlayStation-published titles that may just be next.

Gran Tourismo would be a fuck around & find out moment . There would be scorched earth on X . If any game reps PlayStations existence it’s that series. .

It’s odd, the position that Astro Bot is in, when thinking of multiplatform. On one hand, I find that it makes absolutely no sense to consider it, because of its deep appreciation for PlayStation’s history (another platform’s audience would yawn at this, I can only imagine). However, with all that aside and ignored (including the controller functionality that is very much exclusive), the gameplay and mood, itself, would fit perfectly with a Switch 2 port. Astro Bot: Rescue Mission would, potentially, fit better but I can’t see Sony returning to that well, porting a VR game into a non VR one. 😮‍💨 Not holding my breath.

Absolutely love Days Gone since the reveal trailer. Always worth coming back to after a while. Epic story and great gameplay.

One thing that annoys from people in general is the "oh, it was MLB, oh it was Lego". Hmmm, NO. Actually it was Sony. Why you ask? Because they agreed to it all. They didn't have to. Sony could have easily said no thanks to renewing MLB or doing the deal with Lego. At the end of the day, Sony agreed to it all. It's that simple.

Because it was either agree to it or (a) lose the MLB license, or (b) pay higher licensing fees. So of course they "agreed" to bring it to other platforms. LEGO, on the other hand, was a planned experiment from the get-go.
