You're Asking Me, Will My Love Grow? | Sacred Symbols, Episode 422

Sure, there's a lot of anger in our ecosystem right now, but what about all that's upcoming, all that could potentially change our moods? For instance, God of War: Laufey has received a February '27 release date, while compelling rumors indicate Naughty Dog's long-awaited Intergalactic may also grace PlayStation 5 in 2027. With Arc System Works promising tons of fixes for Marvel Tokon (especially on PC) in time for its imminent launch, and with Wolverine just around the corner -- not to mention a ton of third-party fare, too -- maybe it's time we lighten up a little bit. Plus: Dragon Age is seemingly dead, Square Enix lives in perpetual fear of the potential scale of a Final Fantasy VI remake, Crazy Taxi: World Tour solicits players for closed tests, and more. Then: Listener inquiries! Why do so many people seem so hostile towards so-called "Gun and Ball" gamers? Is Sony's ever-struggling PlayStation Network ready for the crush it will experience with Grand Theft Auto VI? Does PS5 console exclusive Silent Hill: Townfall's approach to stealth and avoidant gameplay interest us? Will Dustin ever return to the show, or is he too busy going to Ohio to find physical games? A new episode of Sacred Symbols: A PlayStation Podcast launches each Friday morning. Hi I am the author of the original #psblackout post. I don't think people are reading the entire thing. I understand its a bit long but its not that long.

CombatSneeze

Do you own the does it play website/twitter page?

Germanos

Guys. Guys. Please. You click the video here and then the YouTube logo in the player and it moves you to the YT site.

I thought the no-codes-for-games policy was an LSM thing and not just a Colin thing, right?

Gene S

Colin and Chris, coming back to this after listening to the entire episode. Thanks for reading my entire #psblackout write up you guys nailed each point and the misguided live service comment is the wrong wording and it did come from me condensing a longer paragraph about investing in Concord but not buying Aarowhead and canceling Twisted Metal, it was long and all over the place so I removed it. Playstation could have done more on the first party side with VR2, there were reports at the time that first party was blocked from making PSVR2 games and Insomniac used to make VR. However I selfishly added that PS VR2 thing in there for me because I am a sicko. As for the timing, all great feedback but I would feel terrible if any studio or publisher was negatively impacted. I have been heard by Sony and we now know that they know how we feel. We know that there are backup plans, let's give them strong data that we are disappointed. COG has my contact info feel free to hit me up.

How colin starts every sentance with: "its funny man.." Im just noticing. Im a noticer

Kevin Cooper

It's always been a Colin thing... he often says "the other guys can do what they want".

Germanos

Yes, but asking PlayStation for codes for LSM employees as the company's head, is a bit different than Matty or Dustin reaching out to publishers on their own.

why has bro just spoiled the entirety of Halo? I get its an old game but no consideration for anyone who didn't play on Xbox...really gutted actually
