Looks and sounds like it was a stellar concert! Another of my prized LPs is the one he talked about, with Paco de Lucía and John McLaughlin: Passion, Grace and Fire, from 1983. Glad you all got out to enjoy this special night together! Thanks for sharing it with us!❤️🎵❤️

Loved the Paco story! (I think I sent you “Friday Night in San Francisco” with the legendary trio). As soon as the playing started, it squeezed my heart 💜. Love sitting in the audience with you - even the whispers and comments make it real. Great footage - thanks for sharing. Hi to Mario 👋.

Thank you so much for sharing Nick and Lex 🤗I have to say David Sylvian sings about Boulder in his song "it's a beautiful country "💞great to see you out and about after lockdown ! Love you guys 🙏I always smile when I see your posts!....every time!! I'm grateful along with all the others within our group 🙏

Firs time I saw Al was in a small club in Sacramento in the 1970s. He’s great in a small setting. Imagine. His first pro gig was Carnegie Hall with Chick Coreia. What a great record ing. So happy you both got to see him, and only a short drive away.

It's settled. Gotta get Paco and Willie together. Paco will be able to play all day, and all of the night. Ukraine Aid. Right there in Boulder. I knew of Al through "Romantic Warrior" and Chick, so when he came to Charlotte, with Renaissance, I decided that it was in my best interest to attend, and so I did, and how cool to sort of relive my favorite of his, and in this context, with Lex yowling joyously in a preferred key at the end. Since those days, other guitarists, other than Fripp, Gilmour, Hackett, Hendrix and Zappa that rise to the top are Egberto Gismonti, John Williams, John McLaughlin (whom I saw at Berklee), Rodrigo, Will Ackerman and Nicholas Lanier, an ancient relative of Mom's who was the King's Master Guitarist. Don't much have those anymore. Should bring it back.

I like smaller places better than giant concert halls; being close to the artist, maybe even standing right in front of him/her/them is so great. I wouldn't pay a 100+ for a single artist and then be maybe 100 meters or more away from the stage and watch everything on video screens. So this looks and sounds like it was fun. Maybe one day in my life I get to see Al live ...
