As a pre-teen, I was a FAN of the Cowsills, with a huge crush on the adorable drummer, John. I still have the scrapbook I made of the famous family band, and their first LP. They were very talented and their voices blended wonderfully. I love Marnie Nixon's movie version of "Wouldn't It Be Loverly", (as lip-synched by Audrey Hepburn) in the cockney accent. It's a fun movie you and Alexia would enjoy! As a young girl, I loved The Beatles' "Till There Was You," but had never heard anyone pronounce the word "saw" like "sorr!" I thought that was funny! "Knowing When To Leave" is from the Neil Simon musical, Promises, Promises, with music by Burt Bacharach and lyrics by Hal David. That is indeed an oboe in the outro! Of the two main double reed woodwinds, the oboe is the high one and the bassoon is the low one. The Carpenters sing that song in their wonderful Bacharach/David medley. I love The Fifth Dimension, but wasn't familiar with that song, nor the musical it comes from. Pretty good, though! Sammy Davis Jr. was a quadruple threat- he could sing, dance, act, and he played a mean drum kit, all from the time he was a young kid! All in all a really fun marathon, JK, and fun anecdotes too, Nick! Maybe Lex will also share her hair care secrets! (tee hee!) 🎵❤️🎵 Debbie

Thank you Debra! Glad people can hear the Beatles cover here!

Looks like you can't sneak any Beatles song by. Unfortunate. Guess I'll have to cross off Revolution 9 from my potential "Beautiful sounds of Yoko Ono" marathon.....
