"Lahaina Luna" for Maui - fundraiser, play-along, Patron lesson (Patreon)

{Public post}

Aloha, Patrons!

Last month, ukulele community leaders Craig and Sarah brought together ukulele performers, clubs, and organizations from around the globe for the Music and Meals for Maui Online Fundraiser.  The livestream and Ukulele Site auctions were able to raise over $100,000 for the Maui Food Bank!  Thanks to all of you who donated to this fundraiser.

For the livestream, I shared this video of "Lahaina Luna," and it's now available on my channel as a play-along.  I'm making the chord chart available to all at the bottom of this public post.  Inspired by Craig and Sarah's YouTube fundraiser, I have created a separate YouTube fundraiser for this video.  You'll see a "Donate" button alongside the video, and YouTube covers all transaction fees and sends the funds directly to the charitable organization (in this case, the Maui Food Bank).  For those who missed the opportunity to donate during the September fundraiser, you can still give here, as recovery efforts are ongoing and will continue for some time.

I taught this arrangement to the Patrons for our Live Lesson in September (now available for all Patrons).  You can practice playing along by clicking the CC button for chords and lyrics.  Thank you to my Patreon community for supporting this video and lesson!

I taught this full lesson in September 2023 for our monthly Patreon All-levels Live Lesson.  All Patrons (pay what you can, $1+) have access to the archived full lesson for this song, as well as dozens more archived Patron-only monthly live lessons going back to 2017.  I maintain the $1 pay-what-you-can tier because I want to keep these lessons accessible.  Please take advantage of them!

Here is a list of what we've covered so far in the Live Lessons for 2023.
