I think I'm kind of weird😅, because Damons strong feelings and his passion made me fall for him right from the beginning. I remember thinking that Stefan was a little boring and too nice. I never was a Stefan girl.

I love the little connection Matt and Caroline make. They're not wrapped up in the supernatural and so it's solely about feeling alone and used and finding another light in the darkness and I love that they don't go "adult show" and just make it about sex. We're eating chips in bed, bestie!

So the sun's height can be measured using a clitometer. Got it.. Also a little side note since you mentioned Bonnie's hair - the actress, Kat Graham has spoken about how the show put her in lace front wigs with straight hair throughout the series. She said that the glue and tension over so many hours + so many years damaged her beautiful natural curly hair. 🥺😡 There are always things in these "of a different time" shows that stick out like sore thumb but that's a really sad and unfortunate one to me, because I wish we had come further tbh. There's a big push for loving and appreciating and showcasing gorgeous textured hair these days but there are still those who resist, even today. Still got a long way to go with that I fear, and it upsets me a lot. I think anything that is a part of somebody's body should be appreciated and should not be deemed "unfit" for a job. The only ONLY narrative I can see reasonably asking a black actor to have straight hair for is if the character is straightening it to "fit in" and then an arc of accepting themselves and their identity afterwards as part of their character growth. Because that is empowering to others who might be in a situation like that. And it should be the actor's choice of that narrative is included or scrubbed from the script based on if they want to change their hair at all for the role. We should be proud of who we are. So yeah idk hearing that they not only made her wear the wigs but that it was painful and caused lasting damage was really heartbreaking for me.

I really like Ric, and I had to laugh when the role was described in legally blonde, because I hate him in that. But that just shows how talented the actor is, when you get such different impressions and feelings.

I agree. I hope the guys have monitors. Multiple people proclaiming they love a character as soon as the character shows up on screen definitely implies the character might be around for multiple episodes and that is spoilery.

Listenn I'm no Matt lover myself, but I will say that in the "lame girl move" scene I don't think he was in the wrong. Caroline was implying he should have treated her differently after they "spent the night together" but in my opinion he treated her exactly as he should have and how people would -in real life- expect him to. He didn't assume Caroline would want to suddenly date him just because he did something nice for her, in his eyes he was helping a friend and didn't expect anything in return so he treated her the same as always the next day. That's not a bad thing! lmao I totally get wanting to support Caroline bc she's had it rough and is a girlboss or whatever but im just gonna say Im on his side with that one lol

Especially as you didn't say the name i wouldn't consider your comment a spoiler, but the conversation overall has included many though. I try to live by the rule of pretending I haven't viewed further either, but I know it's hard when excited. Lexi is one of my favorite characters. Favorite doesn't have to mean long lasting. I don't know if they have chosen mods yet. They are the ones who should be confirming what they want. Only their standard matters. They have indicated that they consider favored characters a bit of a spoiler though.

I immediately enjoyed Damon most. Wasn't sure if he would be a beloved character or a love to hate character, but I favored him. Lexi has damaged that a bit. Killed my other favorite so we are spatting.

Sadly it sounds like some of it was pretty blatant. She deserved so much better than her treatment on that set. She had some good friends who supported her among the cast, and some who didn't. It was hard to separate from certain characters for a while. Not gonna say who because I don't want to bias their watch. If they want to know about actors they can look them up. I do believe Ian (Damon) and Kat got along really well though. Besties. Don't mind biasing when it's positive. Most negative stories I heard were bts though, not cast.

A note on the day rings. They are rare, but the important thing is they are bound to the person. So if Lexi knew how she could have made her own ring, but she could not take Stefan's or Damon's and used it.

Matt's confession was cringe, but I found it endearing. That wasn't a guy acting on misogyny. That was a dumb kid who had no idea on how to express his feelings, so he stuck to honesty to a fault. He had never seen anything he related to in Caroline, but now he recognizes his loneliness in her. I don't think there was a malicious thought in his head and Caroline recognized that.

Our girl Kendra! Bianca Lawson is the best 🙌🏼 Bonnie’s sleepwalking plot line & the necklace finding its way back to her was crazy. New teacher Alaric. Warner Huntington III what are you doing in Mystic Falls? This episode had all the teen drama going around. Loved the girls having a sleepover. A séance is always a good idea, right? “She possessed her…that’s not nice” was so funny to me 😂 The brotherly bonding was great too even if it was a ruse to get info out of Damon. Matt’s talk with Caroline was uncomfortably awkward. The “I don’t even like you. Never have.” was wild 😂 I felt offended on Caroline’s behalf. That ending with Logan tho! 🤯 Love the lore heavy episodes. It was always fun getting to learn more when watching. All the witchy vibes were on point. That crystal destruction scene was done so well. Damon feeding on Bonnie was wild. Glad Stefan was able to heal her & Elena gets to tell her the truth about vampires. Absolutely LIVING for your reactions to these twists & turns. Such a fun reaction! 🖤

I’m gonna be honest she only stopped keeping her promises after seeing how bad the vampires she made the promise to evolved. She knew if that’s the way they were going about attacking innocent people releasing even more vampires would be like hell on earth. I stand by her decision

Having mentioned that the actress who played Emily played Kendra the vamPYRE slayer on Buffy lmao, I really do think y’all would enjoy Teen Wolf. She was in that too, and like TVD, it’s an ensemble genre show, and the acting is pretty good!

idk why, it might be just my love for villains, but there is noone else in this show who makes my heart break like Damon's facial expressions. This is the first time we know for sure these are his true feelings and he's so vulnerable that it shows so much on his face. I'm a sucker for facial expressions and Ian Somerholder is amazing at them!!

Just be aware when you tell someone you like a character, they now know that the character is most likely not bad. So since they have asked us to let them watch the show blind, you saying that does go against what they asked just have some self-control. It’s OK to be excited.

me too! always found stefan boring. rewatching it as an adult I do like him more, but I'll always be team damon. That said, I don't excuse any of his bad deeds like most damon fans do. He's not a good person no matter how much you try to spin it.
