Gentlemen and anyone on here who sees this. I just found out my best friend decided to leave this world. It’s been really emotional and I just need prayers and healing energy for his family , his children, and his friends. Please and thank you. 🙏🏽 I look forward to this video

Cheryl Abbott

Love the asthetic of this episode. And it's nice to have a fun episode after the seriousness of the last few!

ashley kuate

This is one of the most fun supernatural episodes! Definitely a favorite from the early seasons

deanandsamAO3

Sam is so pretty in black and white. Sigh!

Claire Dactyl

The Happy Schnapps Combo is a real polka band from the part of Wisconsin I’m from (which is also where longtime Supernatural production designer Jerry Wanek is from!). He actually put a ton of Wisconsin easter eggs in the show throughout its run and it always makes me smile when I see them. A lot of episodes are set in both real and fictional Wisconsin towns, as well. 🥰

Cass&Jason

Fun fact that a lot of people know: Oktoberfest takes place (mostly) in September. Usually less than a week in October. Fun fact that less people know: some areas of Germany also have Frühlingsfest, which is in April/May. (The German word for spring or springtime is Frühling.)

Natalie Halveston

Hey Alexander. I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope your friend is at peace now. I can't imagine how bad it must have gotten for him to take that step. Sending out thoughts and prayers for you and his family.

AJ

I'm so sorry to read this, Alexander. Sending love and prayers 🙏

Natalie Halveston

What I love most about watching this show with you guys specifically is, that you can be serious when it needs it but you can also have a laugh when it's more lighthearted. Some reactors laugh through some really deep stuff and then will get annoyed at episodes like this. I just love your enthusiasm for this show and the bad ass characters.

Lisa - Marie

Has been so hard not to say anything about this episode...knew you would enjoy it

Lisa - Marie

there are no words, sorry to hear this, i am sending prayers

Cheryl Abbott

Sorry for your loss. Sending prayers to everyone. ❤️

Lisa - Marie

also just realised what next one is lol

The Horror Bandwagon

So sorry for your loss, Alexander. Sending so much love to your best friends loved ones and to you. We can't imagine how big a loss this is, we definitely send over tons of strength your way too!❤️❤️

Michael Instone

Love the old monster movies. All the Abbott and Costello movies. Another great episode and reaction. Thanks guys.

LeslieW

This is definitely a fun ep that I adore and love rewatching!!

The Force

Supernatural and SG are two legendary casting shows. Main cast are stellar but so are sooooo many secondary cast members holy shit, I know it's not a horror series so not in your book but SG-1 is a legendary series you should watch when you can if you haven't yet

Elisia

the perfect episode for you guys

Pie

For anyone who hasn’t seen Porky’s II: in the film, a high school drama club is planning a production of *Romeo and Juliet*. A group of religious fanatics wants to stop them. So does the Ku Klux Klan. The film deals with racism, gender issues (macho lads who dress up as women and fairies and are increasingly embracing it) and criticism of religion. And that’s the film in which Dean wants to live. You can read whatever you like into it...

Dana Mae

Sending you and your friend’s loved ones love and healing and strength. 💜✊

Badger

Angus Young is the guitarist from AC/DC lol another awesome set of names

Pie

This episode is so much fun! The music, the lighting, the acting.... Sam and Dean are such nerds. Each in their own way, but nerds nonetheless. And Angus Young? AC/DC? And I thought, lads, you’re starting to get a bit too obvious with your aliases.

Bethany

I think this is one of my favourite reactions from you guys. Seemed like you were having so much fun ❤️

Claire Dactyl

Re: whether the shapeshifter actually turns into the monsters he’s shifting into, they mention when they visit the morgue that the “werewolf” victim isn’t missing their heart like a traditional werewolf victim would be, so I’ve always read that to mean the shapeshifter was just emulating these monsters based on his favorite movie tropes rather than actually becoming one when he shifted.

Cass&Jason

A shame you missed it -- this year for FanFest, Universal Studios Hollywood did a Scooby-Doo/Universal Monsters crossover. It was a lot of fun! A mystery to solve. Frankenstein, the Bride, Dracula, the Wolfman, and (for the VIP tour package) your picture taken with the Invisible Man. 😁 ETA If you have time, I would also recommend checking out the Smokehouse in Burbank -- it's literally across the street from Warner Bros and it's George Clooney's favorite restaurant. Sunday brunch is incredible. There's also Musso & Frank's; it's the oldest restaurant in Hollywood and also incredible. You can order Frank Sinatra's martini exactly how he used to order it. If you're looking for something more laid back and fun, the Scum and Villainy Cantina is a fun choice. You can go to Canter's Deli on Fairfax, where Guns n' Roses got their start. So much to do. What can I say? We love LA.

love4Cook

I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending love and prayers your way for you and your friend’s loved ones. Depression is a monster in its own right. How sad that he couldn’t find another way out of the darkness and pain.

Alex Montrose

I know I'm in the minority here. But I have never really loved this episode. There is objectively nothing wrong with it. And I fully appreciate that sometimes we need to break up the energy a little bit with something a bit more lighthearted. But I just tend to gravitate more towards the darker stuff and when the plot really kicks in. Not to mention that - film school 101 - if a show that goes as hard as this throws you a tickle, you know there's something on the horizon. They used to do this on Buffy and Angel all the time. So I get both nervous and excited and would rather have the gutpunch. But as I said. That is a ME thing, not a critique of the show.

Stacey H

This is such a fun episode! I’ve been waiting for you guys to get to this one because I knew you’d love it! They really went all out on getting all the details with the sets and music and everything.

Kaylee Smeaton

My condolences for your loss. Sending my love.

Chantal

I love stargate

Dana Mae

I love the campy/silly/meta episodes so much. I know I’m in the minority but they are some of my favorites. 💜 ✊

Ashley Hayyynes

I need to know if y'all have seen the black and white gif from the outtakes of this episode. 💀

Miss Maya

all the flowers to director and DP for cinematography and lighting it was stunning and Todd Stashwick who played Dracula was so amazing!!!! :)

m c

Only y'all would react to this in black and white lol, that is so fkn funny I love it

Sophie

So sorry for your loss, Alexander! My heart goes out to you and your friends family.

Nancy Nicolai

I don't think this is a spoiler ( if it is I'm sorry 😐) but all monsters & demons are much stronger than humans 💪 also the actor who played the shapeshifter is Todd Stashwick he's amazing in everything he does!!

Kimberly S. (Rawr)

This was such a fun concept for an episode. I always love when shows do something different with the storytelling/concepts. And I love how excited y’all were watching this! You can see the admiration for the Universal Monsters with this episode. The comedy, campiness, musical score, cinematography were wonderful. The actor playing Dracula did a great job. For being a smaller scale episode I think they utilized the space & minimal actors greatly. A 10/10 episode & one of my favs for sure. So glad you guys enjoyed this one 🖤

KayJayO

Angus Young is the guitarist for AC/DC

Susie

I absolutely loved your description that it was a love letter, because it really was! It was a homage to the old classic monster movies with some comedy thrown in and I absolutely adored it and still do! There are many fans that weren't fond of this one and those who loved it and I am in the latter category. I also LOVED your commitment to the episode with you going full black N white! I am so glad that you enjoyed it :)

Susie

Why do we need to read anything into it at all? Why can't we just see it as Dean enjoying a comedy as so many people actually did without trying to pick it apart?

Susie

Yeah I don't see that as a spoiler, but good information for them to have.

Susie

The only bad thing I have to say about this episode is that I feel they made a mistake when they had Dean not know who the characters of Dracula were. We learned last season how much of a geek Dean is when it comes to movies and it doesn't make sense that he wouldn't know the character's names. Aside from that, I loved it :)

Kate Is Very No Fun

30:45 I could be misremembering, but im pretty sure theres a bts clip from this episode where the dracula actor does actual accidentally hurt jensen, so idk if this specific scene was it or not but it's really funny to see him break character to be like im sorry are you okay lmao

Liz

What a fun episode! It’s been years since I saw this one. Loved the whole thing with the Universal Monsters aesthetic. Everything about this was love! Love when we get these more light hearted episodes.

Pie

You don’t have to, but you can. In my opinion, it does say something about a person – what kind of fantasy world they want to live in. Without making a big deal of it. I mean, the very fact that he wants to be in a comedy rather than an action movie says a lot. Or that this movie takes a stand against injustice and bigotry.

Laura Cordone

It was so much fun to watch you guys react to this episode. I love the black & white!

Coty Paape

You guys gonna film yourselves for universal? I'm sure everyone here would love to see some of it

GordBalle1013🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

If you haven't seen the Hammer horror takes on classic characters I highly recommend. A personal favourite of mine is Dracula A.D. 1972, it's just pure fun and camp

Trinity Bernhardt

I am so sorry for your loss. 🙏 for his family.

Trinity Bernhardt

It's called character development. If you don’t want to pay attention to it, you don't have to. I find it interesting, because I realized I had thought it was a different type of movie. Now I need to watch it.

Trinity Bernhardt

Stargate is one of the other shows I was fully obsessed with for years. Not as obsessed as I am with Supernatural, but nothing compares with this.

Trinity Bernhardt

I agree with this take. The strength comes just from being a shapeshifter in general. Also, if he became a vampire he wouldn't have the two fangs, but the full set.

Trinity Bernhardt

I agree, but they needed something for Sam at that point. If there were book/movie differences they could point out it would be one thing. This was definitely an area I felt Dean would be educated in.

Trinity Bernhardt

I love when they let Dean nerd out. He masks so much with the cool, macho guy, and I appreciate when they let us see behind that. He really is terrible at flirting and I find it so endearing. Such a fun episode. I love the actor who plays Ed. I fell for him in Wynonna Earp, which is one you should absolutely watch if you haven't. Such a fun, dark show.

Pie

It wasn't what I expected either. I mean, it's not a good movie. But it's so crazy that it's almost good again.

Justine

"Agents Angus and Young" Angus Young is the guitarist for ACDC ⚡️

Susie

The writing could have been better. Regardless, it was an enjoyable episode :)

Susie

That's fine and all, I just think that people pick apart Dean way too much. I'm not saying that you do personally, just a lot of people in general. Sometimes there are just lines thrown at Dean by a writer, because they find it funny and it's really not that serious. Anyway, this was an enjoyable episode for me :)

Roz

Glad that you like this episode. I love when they lean into camp.

Em

I watched Supernatural many times before I watched the X-Files and now rewatching it with you has reminded me how many episodes of Supernatural are inspired by episodes of the X-Files - including this one - so name dropping Mulder and Scully was wild😂

Eris

All the fake names the boys give are names of famous rockers. Angus and Young are part of ACDC

Anthony

“I have been rehymenated.” Is possibly Dean’s craziest line lol I preferred the look of this mummy over the Mummy from Lee Cronin’s movie. I bet you never thought you’d see Dracula do parkour then ride away on a moped! 😂 Now Dean starting to believe in God saying he’s on a mission from him. Dean getting punched looked very real, almost as real as the one from Weapons Damn that’s cool that you guys are doing a v.i.p tour of the universal studios sets! Happy Early Birthday Cody!! This episode reminded me of s1 Supernatural where the episode is a Monster of the week and almost a standalone episode but still further the plot and character development!

BatmanFanGirl

The pizza delivery scene is one of my favorite funny moments in all of supernatural. The party where the pizza guy says, "Look mister I have four other deliveries." The whole scene is just so hilarious.

Angie B.

I love you guys! -- "I remember when you used the same line on me." 🤣🤣🤣

pamysue

Angus Young - frontman and lead guitar for AC/DC✌️💖 An American Werewolf in London from the early 80s is an awesome werewolf movie. We went to see it every week while it played at our local theater back then.

deanandsamAO3

Kudos to you for being so based. :)

CALM

Hey guys! Sorry I'm late, I love this episode and your reaction to it! One thing, is it only me or is the video cut at the end? I don't think we got to hear the end of your review, plus no outro :( Unless it's a problem with my browser? Same with the colour version which cuts at the same place (also definitely keep the b&w version for youtube!) Thank you as always!

Kaitlyn Carampot

“and here i am, in my 30s and pregnant” 😂❤️
