Thank you for the support! You guys are awesome!

I paired the tallest guy on the team with the two shortest women (excluding Sydney) because the thought amused me, but I admit that I probably drew Ren a little big here. He's actually shorter than Anvil, at 6'5". Peggy is 5'4" and Seneca is 5'5." If they were standing, then I drew it about right, with them coming up to somewhere between his shoulders and chin, but sitting, half of that height difference would be lost. It still amuses me.

One thing I've almost definitely overlooked in the comic is that I really can't imagine Seneca being where she is in her career without having at least one tattoo somewhere. I'm not sure I ever said what branch she came from before Maxima poached her, but I'm thinking she was a Green Beret? I just googled that, and at the time this page is going up, only four women have ever become GBs. Maybe in the Grrl-verse that number is a little bit higher, but it seems a little unlikely she would have up and jumped into a newly created branch after an achievement like that. Although Maxima is kind of impressive when you meet her for the first time, and also there's a decent chance that meeting was also when Seneca first learned about supers. Also it's entirely possible she was getting a lot of sexist flak from others in her squad/group/division, or whatever organizational unit makes sense for GBs. After all, if the military is good at one thing, it's being a total boys' club and also being terrible to female soldiers and totally dismissing their complaints of harassment and sexual assault. So maybe Seneca figured having a female commander who could kick literally anyone's ass might be an improvement. Also the pay was a lot better.

My point is, she'd probably have at least some Army tattoo, something denoting her company/platoon/squad? A GB specific tattoo might not be in the cards, as being easily identified as such could be a poor idea? Maybe save that one for after you're retired or at least promoted out of field work. Maybe she's got a company tat on her butt?

Maxima seems surprised here that so far no one is freaking out about what's happened (and if that bugs you, give it a few pages, I can only fit so much in each strip) but keep in mind, she didn't exactly order people to sit with their lust buddies, but that's exactly what's happened. There isn't anyone sitting on opposite sides of the auditorium glaring at anyone else. Actually, everyone seems to have a lingering case of the handsies. If she hadn't called the base to this meeting, there would probably be a lot of cuddling going on right now - cuddling with a lot of post-coital "Wow I can't believe we just did that." and "What got into us?" and "Is this going to be awkward now?"

The fact is that immediately explaining what happened is probably keeping the overall anxiety levels down. Honestly, there's probably quite a few people in the building that figured with their resident house succubus, they're surprised something like this hadn't happened sooner.

In a universe where superpowers are a thing it would make a lot of sense for there to be a lot more women in special forces.

New code name : Onyx Skyscraper : is now in use. 😆

They look like they are probably sitting on his legs or something. Those chairs aren't that close together.

Aquarion

I do not think that man is sorry, not more than a very tiny bit.

There's a comic from 2021-08-02 that implies Dabbler has a potion that ameliorates size differences like that.

I wouldn't worry too much about the difference in their sitting height as it looks like both girls are slouching somewhat wile he's sitting up strait. It's amazing how much even a little slouch will effect ones height.

Suppose Seneca is one of the people who is from a religion that forbids tattoos, or in the alternate, has personal objections to getting a tattoo cause it kind of squicks her. Setting that boundary against pressure from her GB squadmates might have been the source of the tension that led her commander to recommend her to Max when Max was looking to staff up.

It's important to remember that the Aura didn't make anyone do anything. Just made them more horny and open to their feelings.

It may not be Max's intention, but by immediately framing the whole event in such a way that makes people go "it wasn't that bad" already does a lot to dispel most potential awkwardness before it has a chance to grow. Gives people a chance to decide for themselves how to frame what happened

As far as Senica, I'd say make her a Marine. She could be either Force Recon or MARSOC. While it's often overlooked or ignored, The Marines do have a "no tattoo" policy, and, as a female, to get into one of the coveted Elite units, Seneca would have had to toe the line .

Sitting height and standing height are two different things. Standing my sister is 6'3" and I'm 6' even, sitting down I'm at least an inch taller than she is.

So, just for the record, as an 8-year combat infantry vet, not only did I never have any tattoos, but I also never felt any pressure to get one from my comrades. I think while the incidence of people in general getting tattoos is certainly on the rise, and military members are probably also a bit higher, its actually not all that uncommon to just... not have any. Also, I have no problem with tattoos at all I'm just indecisive as hell and I've been waffling about getting one, and/or what to get, for literal decades now. XD

Hmmm, given how it was "News to her too", I wonder if when the post sex high wears off if Seneca will wonder if the sex aura made her bisexual. I know that it's supposed to be just a lust enhancer, but once you start messing around with people's brains you get some strange results.

I realize this is a petty complaint, but I'm really disturbed by the pinprick pupils you've given Ren (and also Math). I know it's likely an anime influence, but it just makes Ren look bug-eyed and weird. He looks SO much better in that last panel where he actually has an iris. Math, I can kind of understand because he's a typical anime pervert and him having bug-out eyes is both de rigueur for the genre and his character. But on Ren? So, so weird.

I feel like this is going to frustrate Max, and I'm looking forward to that. Not because everyone as it turns out is okay with what happened. But because she was prepared to respond to it in a certain way, including getting upset at Sydney, and she can't even do that now because Sydney is going to more or less point out that there was no harm done and if anything, everyone is happy with the outcome. Not to mention how Dabbler is going to hold this up as proof that there should be more sexy times on base. But this is a massive breach of decorum within a military unit. In Max's eyes, it should be a bigger deal than it is. But, it's not a big deal. Everyone is acting like adults and just sort of chill with the whole thing. Like, "Okay, so we had sex. Hey, actually that was really enjoyable. Maybe we do that again sometime?" It may lead to Max questioning some things, such as unit discipline or even her own views. I can very easily imagine Max being "glad this didn't turn into a huge awkward mess between everyone", but also being frustrated at how casual her entire team is. Maybe she might reflect on Anvil and Dabbler's earlier attempts to get her going on a date and ask if she is the weird and uptight one... Or maybe she will decide that the whole team is lacking in discipline. I can also see her having trouble justifying staying mad at Sydney because "Max wants to be mad at Sydney and can't do it" is a fun running gag.

Anticipating the ones that will have a problem: Sydney (but will be understanding that it was beyond Parfait’s control and she aided in triggering it) and Arianna (because PR reasons, she is uptight like that and she got cockblocked because her hubby didn’t make it in time before the party got pooped (or inversely her hubby did arrive in time and she is currently not at the assembly because they are still doing it despite the aura no longer in effect)).

The lust aura didn't make anyone want to have sex with a particular person. It just increased people's desire be sexual in general. Solo, with non-sentient machinery, with sentient partner or partners, but not with just whoever is handy -- unless "whoever is handy" was something they'd normally be okay with. The monogamous, partnered head of PR (sorry, I'm terrible with names) frantically texted her partner, but certainly didn't go out in the hall looking for partners of opportunity. Folks not in relationships seem to have gone for manual or technological stimulation as like as not. But if they already had someone in mind and no major moral/ethical impediment, they partnered up. The stuff hitting the fan would likely be someone who *thought* they were in a committed relationship (or was *strongly attached* to the idea they were straight/gay) finding out their behavior when their libido meter got full was not in line with their self-perception. That, and when Heatwave finds out Mr. Amorphous' behavior didn't line up with *her* perception of his self-perception. Because if past is prologue, well, Hell hath no fury . . . and Hell hath a similar temperature, too.
