Early access for patrons of all tiers!

In the beginning of the S1gns Of L1fe channel we did a lot of full ambient track walkthrough videos. Part of what excites me about this Patreon is the ability to do that and you guys have certainly received a ton of those over the years. Let's take it back to the old school with another one! Lot's of topics covered here...but above all, hopefully this video will help you realize that anything is possible.

Synth Philosophy

I got FL studio but never really enjoyed the linear approach and the idea of "drawing" music. Hence I moved to creating computer less music with hardware synths, sequencers, pedals and multitrack recorders. The live performing clicked with me, but as you know it's also limiting on its own way. Slowly I searched for ways to integrate the computer into my workflow, and Renoise worked pretty well for me. Then I discovered the idea's view of Maschine, and that was my eye opener. Ableton has that too as session view. I tried it, and now I found a way to drive my hybrid setup in a way that doesn't stand in my way. I believe the fact you explain using Live has influenced this decision too. So I recently got into Ableton Live, and while it is such a creativity and speed boost on its own I was wondering what your default utilities and racks were in all your videos. Now I know. Thanks for sharing that link, I bought the utility template and boy o boy what a difference it is to have a skeleton template like that. I will continue to adjust it so I can create my own new workflow, but I feel like this has been a kickstart and a push into the direction I want to go. Your content has been of much value for me lately, and I want to thank you for doing what you do. I feel like I am starting to discover a productive workflow and I'm building my own voice by integrating many tips and knowledge you share with us. And I can't stop listening to the AURA content. It puts my head into the right space. Thank you.

Good stuff here Chris! Curious if you could do some percussion tutorials in Ambient music.

Chris, thanks so much for this! Your videos are not only fun to watch and a treat to listen to, but you provide by far the most informative and inspiring tutorial content I’ve watched in a very long time. Kudos! Your enthusiasm and love for Ambient and music in general are simply contagious. In the 2.5 weeks between finding your YT channel and becoming a patron, I’ve literally learned more about sound design, composition & mixing and created more patches and music than in the last months if not years. Thanks for sharing your passion and knowledge, and keep ‘em coming.
