Continuing on the topic of "Painting with Frequency" I made this tutorial to show you how frequency separation works and how you can use it in your own productions. Creating music that has depth, sounds deep and spacious, and hits your emotional senses in just the right way can easily be achieved with simple tools. In this video, I show you how to do just that so hopefully you can take these techniques and apply them.

Hopefully you enjoy this one! While I use mostly free tools in this video, here are the links for everything else. Cheers and enjoy!

THanks again Chris!! TBH I'm not looking to be a producer I make ambient music for me and for my spirit and love your positivity!

love the concept Painting with Frequency a very important subject and has alot of potential to be a video series perhaps ? It's worth noting that you can do the reasonater trick with almost any digital eq. you just have to figure out what the exact Khz is for the notes you want to use and then boost them with a very narrow bell curve. just like subtractive eqing but in reverse  But i must say you can't go wrong with any of the unfiltered plugins they are very useful and affordable.

Again an inspiring video... I admire your creativity with free stuff. That makes that if someone is interested doesn't loose a lot of money if they decide it is not for them. My main concern was that I ended up throwing all that money away for something I don't want. But as I grew more into the Ambient world (especially the space ambient / tangerine dream style) I decided that I don't have to finish a track for anybody but myself. And as my grandmother always said: "The journey to your destination can be fun too if you take the time to stop and look now and then".

Love it! You make this seem so easy, but it is true, using the tools we have, and being intentional with our choices IS the way to go! Great job, Chris!
