Daily Doug ACCEPTED RECOMMENDATIONS Master List (for Patrons) - updated August 2024

What a great list. I however don't see Jonas Lindberg and The Other Side, Summer Queen. Suggestor said it was approved. It didn't make your recent summer song fan favorite because it was too long. I really look forward to you covering it soon. 😉😉🤘

Hi Doug, I don't see Patrick Moraz and his album The Story of I on the list, though has been in a poll and in comments a few times. It's a wonderful musical and sonic adventure!

Julian Switala

I would like to recommend the 2014 song "Demparty Night" by Dempagumi.inc It's a completely different genre from all of these songs because it's Jpop. It's one of the most action-packed, melodically interesting songs I've heard this year. I have a list of similar songs in this genre, but to start I hope at least one could be analyzed. Here's the link. Thanks! https://youtu.be/uX1yKYI9NXI?feature=shared

Haven’t you already reacted to Rosetta Stoned?

It's still being voted on at Discord. It will be up for inclusion to the Master List next time, around the end of August. (Your Suggester message just meant that it was approved for the Recommend-Vote channel in July.)

Hey, I wanted to recommend a couple songs to add to the list. These were actually the last two songs I played for my dad before he passed away a couple weeks ago, so they mean a fair bit to me, even if they're not my actual favorite songs/bands. 1) Paradise Lost - An Eternity of Lies https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qm7tNT2zIbI 2) Flogging Molly - Devil's Dance Floor https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSwaVvF7rdU For the record, he *loved* the Flogging Molly song, and even though he wasn't a huge metal fan, he really liked at least the instrumental section of the Paradise Lost song that starts at about 3:05.

Nektar Recycled and Van der Graaf Still life would be great to check out

Songbird

I'm excited to see Diablo Swing Orchestra being considered, I would suggest reviewing a full album instead of a song though, I know their songs will amaze you.
