youtube is up to its old tricks deleting my comments. This is what I wrote: It's really hard picking which album to show you out of a discography... I maybe should have picked Rockin' The Suburbs. Songs For Silverman is probably his most low-key, somber record, but I thought there were some themes that you would find interesting, as well as the complexity of the songwriting, plus I had his influence on Tyler Joseph in mind picking this one too. I hope you choose to do some more of his stuff - I think we would all say go to Rockin' The Suburbs next which still has some ballads but also some fun upbeat songs. Ben Folds FIve was his band mostly from 1993 to 2000, with some other projects later too, and it was when I started listening to him. BF5 has some really fun, boistrous songs - example song title 'One Angry Dwarf and 200 Solemn Faces' 😆

Re Jesusland, I could see when the penny dropped and it was pretty early, it was after the 'billboards quoting things you'd never say' line. You mentioned Jacob Collier, if you like the kind of thing he does, check this out - Ben writing a song with an orchestra. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BytUY_AwTUs
