I think Tremors 3 is a bit of a step down, but still fun. Tremors 4 is a high point for me though, given the Old West setting. It's a lot of fun. But you guys should probably stop after 4.

I would stop here. They dial the silliness up to 11 for 3 and it really doesn't work. It's not terrible, but it is a significant step down from 2.

Agreed. I mean, they can be a fun watch after this one but from a "this is terrible, let's get drunk and watch it in a group" perspective.

In my opinion you should stop at 2. The series really goes into full camp and cheesiness after this.

I wouldn’t recommend Tremors 3, not that it’s not enjoyable, but outside of Michael Gross getting to be the main character and a new addition to the tremors changing, it doesn’t offer a lot in terms of story or lore progression other than the theme park idea becoming a focal point where the town of Perfection has embraced itself as a Tremors hotspot. I will say to consider the 4th film. S.S Wilson returns as director, it’s technically a new cast of characters (Michael Gross returns as an older generation of his Gummer character), it takes place in the old west of Perfection, so it’s a western horror combo (which we don’t see a lot happen), and it’s a more of a retread of the first film but Gross gets to play completely opposite of his Burt character, which is a lot of fun and the heart of the film. Ultimately up to you, it’s definitely more a made-for-TV movie (special effects are on par with Aftershocks but you get to see the origins of the graboids). Hope that was comprehensive and detailed on whether you should continue. Love that you watched this film. And don’t bother thinking going after 4 because it’s all direct-to-DVD schlock lol.

Eyyyyyy! Didn't expect this so fast! Movie 3 is not HORRIBLE, but it definitely isn't as good as 1 & 2. It was made with the intent of setting up the TV series, and you can very much tell. If you've got an empty movie slot to fill and you're in the mood for some schlock it could work, but recognize what you're getting into. Movie 4 is actually a step UP from 3. Still not as good as the first two, but it's got its own charm. I like it. I heavily recommend stopping after 4. The rest of them....they just plain suck. Not even "so bad it's good", they're just un-entertaining.

Tremors 4 is my personal favorite sequel and the only one I rewatch. It's a prequel set in the Old West.

It's the sequel rule of diminishing returns. What everyone else says is true: 3 is fine, but not as good and many people like 4, because it takes place in the old west. After that, Michael Gross becomes the only constant in the series. BTW, if you didn't know, there is a short - lived TV series. It was meant as a sequel/continuation of the series after the third film and takes place back at Perfection. There are only 13 episodes (which were shown in the wrong order when originally aired, just like Firefly!) but the production quality is good and it has a recurring role played by Christopher Lloyd! The DVD set restored the original order.

The rest aren't good but I would absolutely watch you watch 3 cause it's just ridiculous lol, it's definitely in "so bad it's good" territory :) I vote you do a so bad it's good film once in awhile :)

Regarding the rest of the Tremors series, I'd say watch 3 for the final form, but after that, only keep watching if you enjoy the formula.
