It's been awhile since I've watched so can't remember if it ever came up, but since you just watched Origins: the actor who plays Nick, Pablo Schreiber, is Liev Schreiber's brother.

It has a bad reputation, but I love the grunginess. It's a mixture of a sunny, nice city, and a gritty, rough place. It's perfect.

Every time I come back to season 2 I get reminded how good it was. It's funny how almost every reactor I watch loves season 2, so I guess it was just the fact that it was so different to season 1 that made people hesitant at first. But in the bigger picture it's just as solid as the rest of the seasons. I'm wondering if season 5 will go through a similar renaissance, since it got mixed reviews as well.

Unrelated to The Wire but hey, George and Simone! Just announced! Ted Lasso season four is coming! (EDIT: I should say, it's PROBABLY coming. Apple has exercised its options on multiple cast members, including Roy and Rebecca.)

"You know what the trouble is, Brucey? We used to make shit in this country, build shit. Now we just put our hand in the next guy's pocket." RIP Frank Sobotka. What this season showed that the perception of most people who are the criminals or "thugs", were actually what used to be Blue Collar workers who were getting squeezed from all angle had to resort to crime. This season made people sympathize with the dock workers, not realizing they were just the stand in for the street corner drug dealers. In the end we all get shitted on by the system.

Ugh. Season 3 was so bad, they really need to do the merciful thing and let the show die. The shocking drop in quality after the departure of Bill Laurence as showrunner was hard to watch.
