I think in the train heist episode Walt had them wait till it was back to 1,000 gallons so the weights matched.

Dan

Re the train heist I don't think it was greed so much as wanting to be precise - partly to make sure the weight matched up and partly for Walt's ego. BTW, re train robberies Tough Guys (1986) is a fun watch IIRC.

Dan

Also, note that inside sockets/light switches/etc is a pretty well-known hiding place, before George moves his vials...

I think this is the first time a thumbnail made me laugh out loud

Hank reading that book at the end always gives me chills. And to think they took like half a year break if i remember right

Cops/ex-cops are actually surprisingly bad at being interrogated. In fact, often times their belief that they “know the system” or that the system will protect them causes them to eschew the most basic logic when being interrogated like asking for an attorney. Cops are also, at the end of the day, just people. And when they’re being interrogated and know they’re guilty of something, they have the same human emotions and the same “tells” as anyone else.

You say, who could still see Walt at this point (Ep. 5) as a hero? He's clearly a villain... But... we've followed him since the beginning, when he was obviously not a villain. And it took him so much effort, so much risk,so much quick and smart thinking, to get where he got to!... There indeed are many people who pretty much saw Walt as the hero till the end. I'm not one of them, but I can understand them. It's hard to look at someone who faced death so many times while lying to himself (and many viewers) that it was all for his family... Someone said once that a villain is a hero in his/her own imagination. Until almost the end. To see him as a hero, what you have to do, I think, is take his perspective. Accept the story he tells himelf.
