I’d recommend continue the View Askewniverse with Jay and Silent Bob Stirke Back (2001) and Clerks 2 (2006) but don’t forget Jay and Silent Bob Reboot (2019) it’s basically a direct sequel to all the previous movies

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

A Fish Called Wanda and Raising Arizona are both awesome classics! But Dazed and Confused is perfect for a reaction - R-E-A-C-T-I-N… I’ll leave now lol. All great picks either way

That Darkfriend

Grandma's Boy is underrated. Be hilarious. Won't win, critics hated it lol

Big Gee

Dazed and Confused timeless classic man. Great soundtrack.

Jeromy M

Anchorman 2 has some cringy scenes, but many a scene are just as quotable as the first. I'd love to see that or Grandmas boy

Garrett Jay Christian

Curious how sometimes the quality of the movie is a distant consideration from the entertainment value of the reaction.

Kevin Ehle

I'm not sure Pretty In Pink was meant to be a comedy, but I suppose it's ridiculous enough to be in the group.

DemNikoArt

I think this list could be improved 😉 There are still so many good comedies out there that I think would be right up your alley. A few suggestions: - Blades of Glory (Ridiculous comedy with Will Ferrell and John Heder about two competing male ice skaters) - Starsky & Hutch (Ben Stiller and Owen Willson teaming up again 😁) - I love you man (romantic comedy with all the cliché tropes but with two dudes that try to become best friends, with Paul Rudd & Jason Segal) - Palm Springs (groundhog Day with Andy Samberg) - Cloudy with a chance of meatballs (Lord & Miller's first directed animated movie!) - Dath becomes her (about a potion that lets you defy death) With Bruce Willis, Meryl Streep & Goldie Hawn - Beerfest (Silly comedy about a group of friends who compete in an international beer drinking contest) With the Super Troopers guys. - Thank you for smoking (Satire about the smoking lobby, with Aaron Eckhart and Katie Holmes) - Just Friends (Comedy with Ryan Reynolds & Amy Smart) Please give this list some love!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Maiki

RIP John Ashton. Suggesting to continue with the Beverly Hills Cop series. And once again Gone Baby Gone (2007). RIP Kris Kristofferson. Suggesting Payback (1999).

streaky

I mean you'd hope people would vote for the combo of rewatch value, entertainment value of the reaction and the quality of the movie. Not sure if you're also suggesting that H2 is a low quality movie though?

Hans Olav Sletnes

Some comedy suggestions: Bowfinger What About Bob? Ed Wood Ed Wood fits just as well under Drama, though.

Jeff K.

Was really hoping for Dazed, but I can't be too mad that Wanda is winning.

TomGas2025

Honestly...a fish named wanda...so unfunny that movie. I tried to watch this 3 or 4 times and I just cannot fathom why this was such a hit. Of course the actors were great but I just could not find anyrhing to laugh in it. I bet I will be shitstormed today from all sides. You know...I used to live in Hamburg Germany when I grew up and there was this tiny sweet little Cinema with only one room and for almost 15 (!!) it showed only that movie. It has closed for years now but that is still with me in my memories.

Random Nevermind

Two comedies I would like to suggest to watch: Small Time Crooks 2000 Thursday 1998

Jacob King

Ed Wood is also a good Halloween choice. Literally no reason not to watch it.

Garrett Jay Christian

No, and I hope this doesn't give too much away, but it does mimic the first one beat for beat.

יוסי פורקוש

Raising Arizona is a must. off beat brilliant funny, i thing the others are a bit vanilla for my taste.

Fernando Alamán

Has to be Wanda. One of my most memorable experiences watching a comedy as a kid. It was winter but I ended up covered in sweat, with how much I laughed.

Jacob King

RIP Maggie Smith. I’d like to suggest Gosford Park.

Choom

PLEASE watch Hunt for the Wilderpeople! It’s been too long since I watched it and I would love to see your reactions.

Zhivko Yakimov

You could say the same for other entries on the list. Dazed and Confused is essentially a coming-of-age movie that is also funny, while Raising Arizona has that weird Cohen brothers humour that is borderline satire. I find that the older I get, the more I appreciate a more subtle humour. Those in-your-face comedies like The Hangover, Grandmas Boy or Anchorman no longer carry the same appeal for me they once did. I am not saying they are bad, I simply no longer look for this kind of stuff.

Justtired

Grandma’s Boy is outrageously silly and fun.

Kevin Ehle

Naked Gun 2 1/2 needs to make these polls at some point. Perhaps a sequel poll.

Vellu

Ed Wood is long overdue, such a fun yet bittersweet movie

Jacob King

The hangover movies definitely have diminishing returns. Have they done Dude, Where’s My Car? Because it’s kind of the OG for that genre.

Keith Brown

Halloween Comedy Classics- Arsenic and Old Lace and Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein !

Dustin Duvall

Grandma's boy won't win a poll, but sophomore year of college, we watched it every weekend. Elevated of course lol

Raymond DeGraw

Love your reactions... With October here I'm hoping to see these movies reactions... 1. Little Shop of Horrors (1986)(Theatrical Cut) 2. The Monster Squad 3. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street 4. The Others 5. M3GAN (Unrated Cut)

Jonathan Guzman

Walk Hard has some of the funniest lines that I still quote to this day. lol.

Darin Foat

For what it's worth, I saw Anchorman 2 in a fancy theater with super comfy, reclining seats. They even gave you little blankets. I was so cozy that I slept through the middle third of the movie. And I never felt compelled to see the whole thing again.

Mr. Writhms

Simone/George: I notice your comedy polls almost never list comedies from the 70s or earlier. Going back, I saw "Animal House" on a poll back in May. PLEASE trust me on these: "Smokey and the Bandit" (1977) "American Graffiti" (1973/George Lucas) "What's Up, Doc?" (1972) "Silver Streak" (1976/Wilder & Pryor) "Silent Movie" (1976/Mel Brooks) "The Pink Panther" (1963) "The Producers"(1967/Mel Brooks) "Some Like It Hot" (1959)

Deco

The death of Stalin for next comedy/satire poll 🙂

CHRISXGAMESALOT

I'm so tired of the super old film reacts.

Jeffrey Howe

Raising Arizona and A Fish Called Wanda aren

Victor Fiegel

Voting for Raising Arizona. Here are a few comedy suggestions: Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping Palm Springs MacGruber(Unrated) Walk Hard Weird: The Al Yankovic Story

Nitedals

For the next time you have a Disney poll, i would suggest the hunchback of notre dame.

Dazzler & Em

🤞fish called Wanda and anchorman 2.

The boy who cried WTF

More comedies: Coneheads (1993) City Slickers (1991) Meet the Fockers (2004) (you did "Meet the Parents" aleady) Shanghai Noon (2000) Uncle Buck (1989) The Great Outdoors (1988)

Brent bmc_comix

Oh btw, don't forget to watch all the credits when you see Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back!!!! :D

Viktor M

Kingpin (1996)

The Dark Unknown

please do "scent of a woman" for thanksgiving such a great film one of Al Pacinos best!

Itbewhatitbe

i feel like comedies is one of those genre that ages the fastest. just cultural references alone ages really quickly. think about their scary movie reactions, those commercial references in those movies made no sense to them cause they didnt grow up seeing it, and thats only the 90s. and then of course theres some joke in itself that ages poorly, Long Duk Dong from sixteen candles for example. i cant imagine George would be too thrilled to see that character...

Ootlander

Kingpin should be on the list, best underrated comedy of the 90s.

Perry Campbell

A great horror/comedy is (Abbott & Costello meet Frankenstein 1948) ❤️❤️❤️❤️

buddha bling

What the hell is a fish called Wanda

Logan Kerlee

lol, never fails. I choose a selection on here and it's in dead last! xD

FWPJR.

So many great movies to pick from this week, I always love when I see a comedy poll on here. Because it’s my favorite genre of movies, and I just love watching reactions to them. Hopefully one of the movies I picked wins, but if not then I know you’ll watch them sooner than later.

Itbewhatitbe

i mean when you google pretty it pink its categorized as "Comedy/Romance". and if youve never seen a movie, theres no other way to know its genre aside from what the studio lists it as.

FWPJR.

Great recommendations

Paul Mix

Oh, excellent! A Fish is my favorite comedy of all time.

Itbewhatitbe

the poll was posted a little over hour ago. which means your comment was made like 20 minutes in when there was what, 500 votes? lol. look at their usual polls and see how many votes it eventually gets. id wait a little longer before jumping to the gun, cause its def not winning now.

FWPJR.

Wow, haven’t thought about that movie in years. It’s hilarious, and very underrated.

Renee MeowMeow Beans

It's GOTTA be the Coen's Raising Arizona - Simone and George will really dig that!

Itbewhatitbe

a great comedy starring John Cleese, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Palin and Kevin kline.

Itbewhatitbe

lol at this point i feel like having the movie where one of them has seen it be dead last shouldnt be a surprise anymore.

Garrett Jay Christian

I may've also been a teensy bit hypersensitized by how many times Raising Arizona has lost. 😅

FWPJR.

Critics hate a lot of good movies, that’s why I never care about what they say. It’s ridiculous how many great and hilarious movies they give low ratings to.

Logan Kerlee

lol, it's true - but at the same time, I'm always hyped when one of them has seen it and the other hasn't - hyping the movie up is always fun! :)

Tim T—

Brazil (1985) has some rather comedic elements, even if it's dark comedy. Just Saying. (Fingers crossed that A Fish Called Wanda can sustain the current lead. Most comedy is not mine, but British/surreal comedy hit’s the spot.)

Jonathan Weston

Comedy suggestions for a future poll: Grosse Pointe Blank (1997) Intolerable Cruelty (2003) Assorted other movies: Kingdom of Heaven (Director's Cut, 2005) Action/Adventure Young Sherlock Holmes (1985) Adventure - also first CGI element on film Equilibirum (2002) Action/Sci-Fi Casino (1995) Crime/Thriller TV: Rome (HBO/BBC, 2005) The Terror, Season 1 (AMC, 2018)

Julian G

Hangover 3 is actually good, that I had to vote for Hangover 2.

Itbewhatitbe

theres a lot of reaction channels that just do modern marvel crap. try one of those!

CHRISXGAMESALOT

I’m not going to arguing I spoke my mind if you don’t like it oh well.

Itbewhatitbe

funny i was gonna say the same thing to you. you have the right to your opinion and i have my right to mine, and my opinion is that yours is dumb af. spoke my mind if you don’t like it oh well.

soup3097

I just want Dazed and Confused to win

maikeru

No Bedazzled? Oh, come on man..

David Crabtree

Dazed and Confused, which is my favorite movie btw, isn't really a comedy. It's a coming of age film with moments of real life levity.

Rachel W

"Raising Arizona", the Cohen Bros comedic masterpiece. It's so endlessly quotable. I know they'll love it.

Michael Johnson

Brazil would be a great reaction film! I'll never forget watching that and Naked Lunch back-to-back. Interesting evening.

Don't call me Shirley

Dazed and Confused is my favorite from this list, but because of the music and drug use, will be difficult to edit.

Michael Johnson

Whoa, tight race. Raising Arizona is my pick, classic weird Coens. Dazed and Confused is great too, feels so authentic and the cast is so good.

FoH Film Club

Tough Dazed and Confused and Raising Arizona are 2 of my faves. Also no shade but the over 200 people voted for Grandma's Boy is wild

Michael Buhl

I was about to say the same thing.

Michael Buhl

The In-Laws (1978), After Hours (1985), and How to Get Ahead in Advertising (1989) would make a good additions to this poll. They are all very funny.

Twisty Twitties

Raising Arizona is incredible thats my pick. Id suggest a few British comedies you could check out in the future are Four Lions, Doghouse, The boat that rocked, The Full Monty

JoeNotCharles

Glad I'm not the only one who keeps asking for Grosse Point Blank!

JoeNotCharles

I can think of two things wrong with that title...

Daniel Smith

I wonder when Wallace and Gromit and other Aardman stuff starts making the list.

james repka

Raising Arizona, great early Comedy by the Coens. Brilliant performances by Holly Hunter and Nicolas Cage. And A Fish Called Wanda is a genius work. It is worth watching if only because no one should miss Kevin Kline's Oscar-Winning performance as Otto.

maikeru

foreign movies: Plein soleil (1960) L‘Apollonide (2011) Mar adentro (2004) Le pacte des loups (2001) Jeune et jolie (2013) Amores perros (2000) Taxi (1998)

Pearl Jam

Jumanji: The Next Level

John

Kingdom of Heaven Director's Cut is great

Alex Ch

National Lampoon’s Animal House would be a really good comedy reaction, I think.

Opti_Frog

I am supremely happy with either Arizona or Wanda. ❤

YukoValis

A series of unfortunate events, the Jim Carrey movie. Is it a comedy? Jim Carrey.

Stephanie Chapman

I love Pretty in Pink, it's more of a romantic dramedy. I'd like to see "Bringing Down the House" on this list :)

rictus grin

a fish called wanda has a great sequel, well more of a follow up movie the same leads playing different characters. also well worth a watch

Brendan Rafferty

Some good choices here For future comedy polls… Grosse Pointe Blank Walk Hard Election

JoeE

I think it’s the most realistic hs movie

Raymond DeGraw

It is version of the film I remember most, as I saw it in theaters. For their first watching I believe it would be a better experience for them.

Dazzler & Em

Who could turn down more more brick in their lives😁

Jordan Barnes

I’ve been hoping for Dazed & Confused for SO long, it’s just such a fun silly movie with such an incredible soundtrack (sorry George, editing is gonna suck). It’s a “slice of life” set in the 70s and it’s a comfort movie I put on when I’m in a funk.

Chappie_nottherobot

Please watch Dazed and Confused at some point soon, even if it doesn’t win the poll. It’s a perfect film!

DM DC

Ah bummer. I've been hoping Grandma's Boy would come up on a list someday, it's here but not in the lead. Ah well some other good choices there. Perhaps someday they'll get to Grandma's Boy. I am looking forward to that day.

Jordan Barnes

Listening to Led Zeppelin I now just because I saw the title dazed & confused lol

HeyHeyJK

Why is "Raising Arizona" not in the lead?? Cinebinge is long overdue to watch this crazy Coen brothers masterpiece.

Farbod

Grandma’s Boy is slept on. It’s a classic.

Simone's Coconut Squire

I think there is a dedicated core of us who really want this one to come up! I’ll keep voting for it if you do!

Onikaze

will always vote for earlier Cohen Bros movies. Still holding out hope for a Miller's Crossing, Barton Fink , The Man Who Wasn't There, or The Hudsucker Proxy. :)

Justin Leone

Wow, the two standouts from this list that I'd have trouble choosing between (A Fish Called Wanda and Raising Arizona) are actually in first and second place.

sahliente

Because it's rigged!! Cinibinge needs to bring back paper ballot voting. Stop the steal!!

sahliente

With US elections around the corner (and some other recent political events,) JFK 1991, could be good seasonal movie to watch, in either October or November.

Bill Woods

Enh. Go with Election (1999), starring Reese Witherspoon. Which *is* a comedy, come to think.

Mr. Writhms

Yes; and there are some movies where the laughs are timeless, like the ones on my list.

The Dark Unknown

you should finish the trilogy and watch American pie 3 American wedding!

Happy Hanukkah

I'm the loon still hoping for Intolerable Cruelty (2003).

Lyonheart86(BryonH)

crazy... i just realized yesterday that you didnt react to dazed and confused yet.. and now a poll.. could this be a sign ?

philbert

Dazed And Confused! I watched this daily with friends for a couple of years and I turned out totally fine hence being here.

Jinyatta

Canadian Bacon!

Max Carter

A Fish Called Wanda is absolutely hysterical. Such a great film

Guy-on-Couch

every poll the one I think would never wins, always wins lol

Maarten Martens

I've never seen A Fish Called Wanda but now is an excellent time!

Dwight Scarn

Observe and Report Seth Rogen is a crazy and underrated dark comedy

Rob

Nice to see Raising Arizona get some love, another classic Coen brothers film

Beddoe

Another comedy with Maggie Smith (and others), 'Murder by Death' (1976).

Amar

Please add "Fighting with my family" on the back log and a sports poll. Love that movie so much, Florence Pugh break through was awesome. Some British love and warmth in a true story!

JoeE

Loved observe and report

JoeE

Would like millers crossing, Barton fink or blood simple

Ari Ramirez

Excellent choices! Here are two comedy suggestions for later down the road: In The Loop (2009) and The Death of Stalin (2017), both directed by Armando Iannucci, I think you guys will get a kick out of his sense of humour

CHRISXGAMESALOT

I'm not against it but I want some modern comedies. Or at least continuity. I've been waiting for them to continue some series like Hangover and Anchorman for 3 years now. I love old school stuff especially comedy.

TheGrimOne

Dazed and Confused is by far my favorite on this list but unfortunately my least favorite is currently winning. Some recommendations (not just comedies) Strange Brew Cooties Goon Battle Royale Chappie Smokey and the Bandit Child's Play Return of the Living Dead

Jeremy

Have they watched cocaine bear ?

Com1xguy

Maybe hold onto Grandma's Boy until the next 4/20....

rick trevino

had to vote for dazed and confused

Jacob King

Taxi is great and has a young Marion Cotillard, though I’d lean toward B13 as the pinnacle of EuropaCorp’s output.

Jay Davis

Voting for Wanda... don't call me stupid.

Lucas Justice

I love Wanda, my dad used to go around quoting Otto all the time. If you do end up watching it be sure to dress really interestingly.

beefjerkywizard

As a Canadian, I did not read the novel nor have I met anyone who has (for school). Canadian kids learn a lot about the history/culture of other countries (at all levels of early learning) so it was covered in Social studies. I want to say in grade eight for me...

Ray

Devils advocate Rounders Blood in Blood out Thunderheart

G P

Look upon me!

Vincent

I don't believe they have BUT they definitely should!

Renee MeowMeow Beans

REALLY hope they get to Raising Arizona in this poll, but another comedy I think they would love (esp. Simone) is Strictly Ballroom. It's a GD delight. 😆

Dan Holmes

this poll is going in the correct direction :)

Calvin

Raising AZ is peak Nic Cage/Holly Hunter.

StonyD

What year were you born?

StonyD

A Fish Called Wanda: the original (and best) combination of British and American humor in an era where they were so far apart that no one else except John Cleese could write a script like this. My favorite. I never "got" Raising Arizona. I prefer dialogue wit to Nick Cage looking confused and slapstick humor. Just me.

Michael Buhl

As Canadians, you really ought to watch Strange Brew.

Tom M

More comedies I don’t remember them watching: MacGruber, The Interview, Get Hard, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and Freddy Got Fingered whose 12% on RT I cannot abide.

Rachel W

Simone is gonna hate Wanda

Dirge Girl

Happy Spoopy Season... 8D The 'Burbs (1989) [Dark Comedy] The Frighteners (1996) [Dark Comedy] The Addams Family (1991) [Dark Comedy] Addams Family Values (1993) [Dark Comedy] Dead Alive / Braindead (1992) [Dark Comedy] What We Do in the Shadows (2014) [Dark Comedy] Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998) [Dark Comedy]

Kevin

PLEASE watch the gag reel for anchorman 2 it will have you peeing your pants!!!

Markus H

You can't know that, so why post this kind of a negative comment (that is only your assumption based on your own, personal opinion) that can negatively influence Simone's (or George's) attitude towards this movie? She might just as likely love Wanda, we can't know that. She should have a totally open mind going into any movie without any outside influence. Sorry if that came off as negative, that was not my intention, but I think all of us need to be more mindful about how we influence other people with what we say, and strive to make that influence as positive as possible. I sincerely hope you have a nice day.

Jay Davis

Passing comments over time lead me to believe that Simone, at least, is familiar with the brothers. Not sure if they've already seen the movie though. Hope not. That'd be a fun one.

Rachel W

Good lord. I'm talking about specific things that happen in the movie over and over that we all know she is def going to hate. Hello?

Jared Jemison

"The doctor explained that her insides were a rocky place, where my seed could find no purchase" Is about as "Dialog wit" as you can get. The dialog in Raising Arizona is the star of the show!

Noah Smith

I bet they’d really like Stranger Than Fiction
