Dang it! I was wrong in the prediction I made to myself about the thumbnail. This time I was sure George was gonna photoshop himself as Dogpool and Simone as Nicepool.

Fly Ωhms

I just finished a 16 hour shift at work. This is exactly what I need right now.

Simon Ham

Thaks guys..awesome job as always

TAN

I am in the minority when I say I did not enjoy this movie nearly as much as others, you take away the cameos and the nostalgia and its average movie.

Awesome80s

Also LadyPool is played by his wife and KidPool by his son.

maikeru

I looove nepotism soo much

Awesome80s

You can't really say that's an important role though, you don't even saw them. It's more for the joke.

Collinson

I found the first half dragged for me but I really enjoyed the second half. This one is a lot slower paced than the two previous films and I think that's what feels a little off about it.

Twisty Twitties

I do agree i prefer the first 2 but this was definitely a fun movie but also good excuse the get the 2 characters together

Twisty Twitties

As Welshman its nice to see a Welshpool, Our tiny country is very rarely represented in tv even though we produce so many brilliany actors 😅 For anyone who doesnt know its the one with the Dragon on his chest, I imagine its because of Reynolds is part owner of Wrexham FC

Jeff K.

Not only is it because of Wrexham, but it’s their star striker Paul Mullin in the suit.

BoredLittleLady

I get it. I admit the story is not great but it works as a love letter to the previous “Fox in association with Marvel” movies. I loved the cameos because I’ve seen the movies and knew about the struggle of Tatum wanting to be Gambit. For this reason, the movie was perfect for someone like me.

Jeff K.

Hot take (?): I think Hugh Jackman is as good in this as he was in Logan. Which honestly shouldn’t be surprising. Hugh gives a 10/10 performance no matter what the movie is.

Jeff K.

Oh! And Headpool is voiced by Nathan Fillion, and inspired by the Marvel Zombies comics. Ryan had to get his old Canadian friend and Two Guys and a Girl costar in there somewhere.

The Inedible Mattman

That montage in the credits ... it hit. Hard. I remember seeing the first X-Men movie when it came out in theaters. I feel like for all of us who have lived through the Fox universe, even those like yourselves who saw it quickly in the past few months ... This is just the best way to say goodbye to that whole world. It's time to move forward, and this was the last goodbye. I'm gonna go cry again for a few hours. Thank you for doing this reaction!

all_huggin_no_thuggin

I think Simone through the opening credits...is how happy I aspire to be. That is pure joy lol

Tmatts

Nepotism is really only a problem when it leads to bad performances and movies.

Jeff K.

Ryan's Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney had a cameo as a TVA agent, as well... but then they cut him out of the movie.

Tsuyama

i dunno if this is nepotism ED. the two deadpools are fully masked, its just voices for like 3 lines. it couldve been anyone, having family member do it is just cheaper i would imagine. if it was lead characters AND they were terrible at it, then yeah nepo. ie that will smith movie with his son.

James Wilson

I'm gonna be that guy right now. Now please watch X-men 97! Also there are 'everything you need to know' videos that can catch you up if you want the background beforehand, though it's not necessary.

Jeff K.

It's hard to say it's nepotism with Blake, as well, given she's a very well known actress on her own. She and Ryan had the two biggest movies at the box office for a couple weekends this summer, too.

Jonathan Howard

The ending credits was amazing. I grew up watching the movies with my family and friends going to the theaters. When I saw the end credits it made me cry it felt like highschool graduation.

Stugotz

I didn't like it much the first time I saw it in theaters but I liked it a lot more in this second viewing. Weird.

Twisty Twitties

Felt the same way, the whole movie just showed the Marvel universe i grew up with, X-Men, Fantastic 4, Blade all favourites growing up.

Twisty Twitties

Its probably better on second viewing as you can appreciate more of the actual jokes and some of the writing, instead of just being bombarded and overwhelmed by cameo after cameo.

Jeff K.

I know that Succession has been tossed around for a show you guys should watch (and I absolutely think you should, it's great), so I love that your introduction to Matthew Mcfadyen (Mr. Paradox) is in his natural British accent. That will help you appreciate his accent and performance in Succession even more. (Also I'm surprised Simone apparently hasn't seen him in Sense and Sensibility, since that feels like a movie she would have watched; although I only watched the YouTube cut so it might have come up in the full length. But his Mr. Darcy is pretty much the gold standard in terms of movie portrayals.) Speaking of accents: as absurd as Channing Tatum's accent is, I've read people saying that his Cajun accent is actually pretty damn good, if over-the-top (which he was asked to do). His dad is from New Orleans, which I'm sure is part of why he was so keen on playing Gambit in the first place.

Dragonhunter

Kidpool is played by his daughter not his son.

Tom M

Agree. I’m tired of the TVA and variants. There’s no stakes with anything anymore. Even RDJ is “back.” There’s some excellent jokes though and the opening dance is freaking great.

Ryan Skinner

hahahaha This would have been amazing.

DonkyDave

Totally agree, I hope Succession gets a look after Better Call Saul

Happy Hanukkah

35:27 I enjoyed Mellow's (MellVerse) comment here: "My boy carrying his mask around like he just got off his shift." Also, a shout-out to Hugh Jackman's double eyebrow-lift at 20:52.

BoredLittleLady

I think the two biggest parts of the movie that blew up online were Deadpool dancing and Gambit’s accent.

Mastervodo

Wolverine is canonically 5'3 in the comics. Often called "runt" by his big bro, Sabretooth.

probablyKoi

Another fun bit of trivia for you guys, Ladypool is played by Blake Lively

Helly R

Agree. I was entertained but it's not much of a film. Empty calories.

Travis H

I’m in the minority but I really didn’t like this movie. 95% of the jokes didn’t work for me unfortunately, the cameos didn’t add anything to the movie other than to have a slow motion intro and to have the audience say “hey look it’s that person from that thing”. And if I saw another unneeded fight scene between immortal beings that can’t actually kill each other I was going to walk out of the theater. Now with that said and I know how mean spirited this is going to sound after the above paragraph, but I say this with 100% sincerity: My favorite part of the movie is when it ended. The montage of bts footage of the Fox movie legacy was beautifully done, I actually had chills while watching it.

nossieboy

I thought the cameos were nostalgic great fun and nothing wrong with a little bit of the ultra violence.

Travis H

I agree it can be fun, unfortunately it just really didn’t work for me.😔

Joe Concepts

I don't know if any was leaked out before the movie came out, but I just loved the genius move of having Chris Evans be Johnny Storm. They did get me with that one.

HeyHeyJK

Not gonna lie, I just didn't love this film and it's the first Deadpool film I'll probably never rewatch (outside of your reaction, of course). It definitely has its moments and the cameos were fun, but part of it is just not being a big X-Men fan overall. The main thing was how both of the first two films focused so much on his relationship with Vanessa and how much he loved her, going so far as to bringing her back with Cable's time thingamajig, and then she's just a minor blip in this film and their relationship is on the rocks. I get it, the multiverse blah blah blah (I'm a little over all that, too) but that's just my take. I know others who feel the same way but we're definitely in the minority. Having said all that, your reaction was really fun and I may have to up my membership level just to watch the full length reaction for Simone's sing-a-longs!

Nathan Jasper

Think of it this way: Your boyfriend used time travel to save your life but then instead of staying with you, goes on a one-man road trip through time to fuck shit up because he can and from then on never really tries or accomplishes anything because at the height of his success, he gets turned down by Happy Hogan and gets super depressed and quits trying altogether. I mean, you'd probably get tired of him too. It wasn't just a blip, it was ALOT of baggage

Donna Castellano

DP2 ruined Rusty Collins. I hated their version of him. They could've used about any other character that would've made sense as a villain towards Cable. I wasn't that fond of Domino either. Nothing against the actress. I wish they'd let her play something closer to the comic version.

Happy Hanukkah

Oh, alright, I'll give in to public demand and share my opinion of the movie. Meh. I very much enjoyed the first two movies and came into this one favorably disposed, but walked out disappointed. It's not that it was bad or that I regretted watching it, but not only did it not live up to the hype, I felt it was definitely weaker than its predecessors. It was aight. Since then I have warmed to it some more, but not greatly. Positives: The usual entertaining Deadpool shtick. Wonderful performance by Hugh Jackman. I give full credit to Ryan Reynolds and the creators for the homage to the Fox-Marvel characters (including the mid-credits scene). Excellent work by Emma Corrin and her fingers VFX. Negatives: The framing story was weak. Despite the positive intentions, the implementation of the Fox homage was poor, and unfortunately did not rise much above nostalgia bait. Deadpool's role in Johnny Storm and Nicepool's deaths did not sit well with me. At all. Sufficiently so that this alone was sufficient to negatively impact my enjoyment. IMHO.

Happy Hanukkah

By the way, I've come across the theory that the "amateur magician" welcomed by Cassandra Nova was not Dr. Strange but rather the actual amateur Ned (from the Tom Holland Spider-movies). ADDED: On the other hand, it is possible that one of the objects in Cassandra's lair is Dr. Strange's cloak.

Thumbnail is cursed...

Its funny cause this is the one ill probably rewatch the most. Lol I like the other Deadpool movies but the only time I ever rewatched them was with cinebinge. I just never found a reason to watch them again, granted I feel this way about alot of superhero movies. I watched them in theaters and thought they were fun and funny, but never saw them again ever. Lol this one was fun and I love Wolverine so having him to balance out Deadpool was much needed for me. I like Ryan Renolds alot but something about the character grows stale for me quickly in the other films that make it hard to watch again. Having Wolverine with him the whole time balanced it for me to make it a much more fun watch. Also, its hard for me to get invested in superhero stuff so if its fun, creative, or out of the box I enjoy it cause most superhero stuff I just find boring.

Morningstar

I love your reaction💞 and I love this movie. Watched it so many times, still doesn’t get old old. Best Deadpool movie.

Stugotz

Wolverine can still get drunk, he just sobers up really quickly. In the comics an entire bottle of whiskey only gets him drunk for a few seconds.

Happy Hanukkah

Since I somehow only now found out who plays Paradox, here's a request for Pride & Prejudice (2005). (I assume its name in a poll would be: "Pride & Prejudice (2005) - New only to George." :-) )

Brent bmc_comix

Great video guys! I do think you should have watched OG Daredevil and Fantastic Four films before watching this movie tho! Again I do hope you watch X-Men 97!!! Love ya guys!!! :)

Trevor S Bright

The floating head is Headpool...he's from the Marvel Zombie Universe, which was adapted into the MCU in Season 1 of "What If". Cassandra Nova is weird because Charles sensed her evil when they were in the womb together and killed her. But her sheer power merged with an alien parasite attached to Charles' own darkness for killing her...allowed her to basically make up a body for herself on her own. She's so psychotic she tends to believe she's still in the womb and Charles is the only "real" person she encounters. Cassandra was later responsible for the biggest Mutant massacre in the comics when she got a hold of several Sentinels and attacked the Mutant island nation of Genosha, killing 16 million of its citizens. Much like the Deadpool Corps, many of the Wolverine variants are Easter Eggs of comic Wolverines: a more accurate "Old Man Logan", Logan's undercover identity of "Patch" with the eyepatch that he usually uses in the criminal city/nation of Madripoor (seen in "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier)", the wild-haired 1 armed Logan in the "Age of Apocalypse" future timeline, etc.

Sem Vikingr

Gambit's accent was spot on Cajun. It's a blend of American South and bad French, of course it sounds muddled!

Jay Johnson

my favorite part of this was hearing Simone sing along to the songs. so cute and fun!

Russell Richardson

It’s too bad the sync drops out a little on this one. Started getting laughs before the joke finished. But I guess it ain’t easy syncing movies this long. Still enjoyed the heck out of this though😆
