Michael Stutsman

Perks of 3rd shift is being awake for the drop. We're you guys going to watch X-men Apocalypse?

Jihad Lee

Here we go!!!!!!!

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

Easily the most fun movie of the year so far! Hugh after all these years still crushes it and I can already assume the opening credits will go down a treat with you both haha. Also had a Honda Odyssey ‘07 as a first car back in the day and it wasn’t cool then - but hey time does its thing I guess!

Chris Davies

That's a hard choice, on one hand the food pill would save a lot of money, and would reduce dependency. With that you could even just go live in the middle of the forest and will be just fine. On the other hand with the exercise pill that means you could eat even more food and not worry about getting fat. But that wouldn't protect you from the negative effects of the foods you're eating, like diabetes. So I agree, the food one is the best one. Although if it were available I would choose an age pill that keeps you young.

Tay Schumaker

Yeah there was definitely a fine line in recommending other movies. You can’t say, oh you need to watch the Affleck Daredevil and then Elektra, without giving away that someone from there is going to show up. I saw some people flat out said to watch some of those (and the Channing Tatum Gambit thing someone would have to flat out explain which would ruin it). I get not having to watch every reference, but those characters showing up isn’t just a one off joke, and kind of a big deal. So I am curious what sort of impact those characters showing up has on you both, and the Chris Evans fake out.

JayF

Simone knows Matthew Macfadyen from Pride and Prejudice (which is a great film and you should watch it, George) but he was also in the original Brit version of Death at a Funeral which is a comedy that you both would love. It also has some other actors that you both like.

Shibby

Simone re-living her 90's boy band phase while watching pure slaughter might be one of my favourite reaction moments.

Bbb K

What about the choice of never needing to breathe? What if you could take a pill and your body will always be supplied with however much oxygen it needs?

REDR58

Yes Daredevil and even Fantastic Four were recommended several times to watch before this. Oh well. I don’t think “Elektra” is as important for that specific movie, just that you know Garner played Electra in DD.

Chris Henderson

Gambit is Cajun from Louisiana basically Canada’s sister. And his accent is 100% accurate. Speaking as someone who grew up in Cajun country. Also Channing’s dad is also Cajun.

Martin Nicholls

I actually watched this for the first time last night and, yes. Just yes. Somebody convinced me to not see it at the cinema and now I'm sad.. Also I think this is Hugh's best Wolverine performance..

Tsuyama

ya but breathing doesnt take away your time like the other activities do. its something you do without thinking.

Tsuyama

i think the point of the choices were that all the options are of things that takes up time and you gotta set aside part of your day to go do. aging happens naturally and youre not actively doing it.

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

Funny thing is half my cinema were singing the song on first viewing while it played. Pretty rare down here in Australia for audiences to do that haha

Guillermo Antonio Ricci Alvarez

The references are:small wolverine is based on Wolverine's actual height(a little bit taller in the comics but still not as tall as Hugh Jackman), the hairy Wolverine is from a future where both mutants and humans are being hunted(Apocalypse), Patch is a Wolverine identity he took in Madripoor(a villains city in Marvel), the Wolverine in a cross is a reference to a comic cover, Wolverine and Hulk is a battle they had, and Henry Cavill is due to people wanting him to be cast as Wolverine

REDR58

I would choose the Food Pill assuming I can eat normally if I want to but eating is not necessary. Most of the time I just eat to satiate hunger and unless I’m with someone I don’t want to take the time to do food prep. Food is the least of the things I care about compared to all the others.

Chris Henderson

Wesley and Ryan were never enemies Wesley hated that the suits didn’t give the third movie the love it deserved.

Andrew

The theater in my town is still playing DP&W.

Tay Schumaker

So Ryan Reynolds said Chris Evans only agreed to do the cameo if they kept that monologue at the end of the credits.

Arcade Sufi

Like others have said the short wolverine is comic book height.

Vwlss Nvwls

I saw this in the theater with my brother and a couple friends. It was a lot of fun because I am in San Diego, and ComicCon was in town. There was so much excitement and noise through out the movie, which I enjoyed more than my brother and his friends, because they did not know much about Marvel. As much as I enjoyed this movie, I also saw all the usual Disney Marvel flaws poking out, and I do not have high hopes for any future movies unless someone can remove that Disney influence when they make them.

droodly

The floating head Deadpool or Headpool, was voiced by Nathan Fillion (Mal from Firefly). :)

Vwlss Nvwls

I would remove sleep. I barely sleep as it is, but I am tired because of it as well. So it would be nice to not doze off, and to feel refreshed when ever I want.

W T

If you don't want to be hungy, you always can go for GLP-1 agonist medication like Tirzepatide, you still get to enjoy food definitely agree with George, knowing how great things taste and then deliberately removing myself from the option to enjoy it in small quantities sounds horrible, but a bunch of folks actually don't derive a whole lot of pleasure from eating, so...

Guillermo Antonio Ricci Alvarez

The footage montage at the end is more a goodbye to the Fox universe, as all of the movies shown there were made when Fox had the rights from Marvel...is like not all of them were that good but they entertained us and built what the MCU is today

Elvenwitch

SLEEP! I don't sleep well or much so feeling like I slept 8 hours would change my life.

Jasbro

Ryan personally called Wesley to ask if he would come back as Blade so they definitely had made peace, also i think Hugh has said he wants to do more movies as part of the MCU, i dont think we'll get another solo movie but maybe in an Avengers type movie or something, i have no doubt Ryan will come back as well. As for the question at the start, i would pick not needing food, i mean not needing to eat doesnt mean you cant eat just for the taste, not to mention how much money you'd save not having to buy food every week.

Spacedone

He's been in a ton of stuff, including that really terrible 'so bad it's good' version of The Three Musketeers with Orlando Bloom and Milla Jovovich. Loved him in Ripper Street.

Zoltán Bublos

I liked this film the least in the trilogy, but goddamn, that Nsync opening is gold. And Simone reaction to it was phenomenal. :'D

YukoValis

So Gambit is from New Orleans, Louisiana. He very much has the bayou accent. Also that dog was rated ugliest dog in Britain.

Canonman28

Food they already exist. They’re called Senzu beans

Canonman28

What happens if I choose the food one but still want to eat. Do I get real fat

JokerDanny

Jonathan Majors is innocent, he was only found guilty of unintentional injury.

Tsuyama

the dude was literally found guilty by a jury and sentenced. so what you mean is, YOU believe hes innocent. which is fine, but he is literally guilty of assault and harassment.

Vwlss Nvwls

I am fairly certain that is what Gambit should sound like, because he is from the Bayou, and that is a known accent for Louisiana Bayou. I think it is called Creole.

Vwlss Nvwls

Chris Evans channeled his inner Dennis Leary for that end credit scene. :D

Elvenwitch

My new favorite joke in this movie is Liefied only feet! That shit is hilarious.

droodly

As far as the Robert Downey JR. return goes, it may be a hail mary as you say, but it's not without some comic support. If I remember correctly there was a What If? where Victor Von Doom and Tony Stark body-swapped through an experiment, and I think at one point Victor Von Doom was Iron Man? I think... memory is fuzzy. Either way, if they write it well, it should be fun.

Brandon

I'd take never having to sleep. Then I wouldn't have to worry about getting off work, having only 9 hours until my next shift and sitting on a bunch of unplayed video games - all of which are lengthy RPGs that require a good time investment to enjoy. Sometimes games are hard to enjoy when you only have 2 hours max to sit down and play it. I can't even imagine how different my life and attitude would be if I was never tired again. I think one cameo this movie really NEEDED was Dougray Scott as one of the Wolverine variants. He was the original actor that was hired to play Wolverine, but the shooting on Mission: Impossible 2 went over schedule and he got injured while shooting the motorcycle chase in that movie. As a result, he had to drop out of the role and the rest is history. Even if a lot of people didn't get the nod, it would have been a really cool thing to see.

Jethro Divine

Simone, do not apologise for singing along. That was a perfect example of you showing you having a good time.

Grandalf

Simone must now sing with every song that she loves on these reaction.

Joel

It feels final because this was a closure movie of the 20th Century Fox era. Deadpool aint done, Hugh will probably return in Secret Wars as well, with Tobey and Andrew as Spider-Men

Mastervodo

Such a fun movie. I was thinking going into watching this that Simone would be all SQUEEEEEEEE over the music, and I was not wrong!

REDR58

Yes, Deadpool, if for no other reason, is way too profitable and popular character for them to be finished with him here.

REDR58

Besides, if his face is never shown, what does it matter who’s playing Doom? I have no problem with that casting at all. Besides RDJ is money in the bank.

REDR58

Are you kidding? The MCU/Disney is a $30 billion property. It is the biggest and most profitable film franchise of all time and second place is nowhere near it. It’s not going anywhere. It’s going to continue. It may have its ups and downs, but it will be fine.

Andrew Roach

Once again a great reaction from my favorite reactors. I was amazed you called both Blake's and Matthew's voices but surprised you didn't say anything about the CN Tower in the Void and I am pretty sure that last city shot was Vancouver? I read when they found out Madonna's "Like A Prayer" song was not available for licensing both Ryan and the director went to her in person and convinced her to let them use it. My only nitpick is Simone singing over those great songs, but I can't blame her. Remember that old adage: despite what you think you don't really sound as good as the song does, hehehe...

REDR58

I think she sounds great singing with the song! And fortunately there are any number of places to hear Madonna songs without someone singing over it! Anyway, I still maintain that “Live to Tell” is Madonna’s best song ever: (Song is from the 1986 movie “At Close Range” starring Sean Penn and Christopher Walken. Penn and Madonna were married at the time. At Close Range is an excellent movie to react to, btw!) https://youtu.be/IzAO9A9GjgI?si=dSvQ3UZfUcUQ94hr

Mastervodo

For Simone and George, but also for anyone else who wants to respond: What was your favorite song, and what was your favorite Cameo? Song for me was "Make me Lose Control" ~ Eric Carmen. Cameo was Cavillrine.

HansD

Yeah, you guys need to watch Furiosa. It's been out for ages already!

Sir Jimmothy

You did miss Deadpool's reaction to "There'll only ever be one Blade" - he knows it's coming!

Mastervodo

The crucified Wolverine on the X is from the cover of The Uncanny X-men 251. A guy named Donald Pierce (White King of the Hellfire Club at the time) and his group of Reavers (Human cyborgs, represented in Logan - the part machine guys) and Lady Deathstrike (X2 film) capture Wolverine and crucify/torture him and try to capture the rest of the X-men. Iconic cover. Google "X-men 251 Cover"

Collinson

As someone with Colitis I'm choosing no toilet needs for the opening question.

Mastervodo

Dogpool is a dog named "Peggy" and won "Britain's Ugliest Dog" 2023. I believe Peggy has an Instagram account.

Martin Nicholls

The one you missed, by the way, is Nathan Fillion as Headpool. Disney are going to find out that Blade's commentary about there only being one Blade is going to pass to the tune of a 100 million loss - nobody would have watched that movie before it entered development hell, now it's been a total and well-documented disaster show it'll be even worse. Also Blake Lively in that outfit worked for me :) It's kinda crazy that Ryan Reynolds has never fully come clean about leaking the test footage that ultimately got the first movie made when it broke the internet after the studio had rejected making it - I think from day 1 every knew it was him and he's hinted it was him, but he's never explicitly admitted it.

JLee

can HAZ moar Simone sing-a-longs plz?

Monica Alarcon

You know what? I'm gonna do something I've only done twice before (Borat 2 and Poltergeist) and I'm gonna watch it again right now!!

Brent bmc_comix

You guys HAVE to react to X-Men '97!!!! :)

Jack Says

I can't wait for the interviews and the commentaries to come out and confirm this, but this whole movie was a 2 hour love letter to the 20th Century Fox legacy. Not just that, it was practically Reynolds arguing with Disney to please, if you can't incorporate them into Disney, at least give them a great ending. The plot, the dialogue, so many of the lines was telling us to not forget what came before. Oh! And that "finding Wolverine" montage was all the comic variants of Wolverine. Oh! Oh! And Henry Cavill as Wolverine, Channing Tatum as Gambit and the idea of using Cassandra Nova as a villain were all talks and rumors that never panned out. Ok, I'll stop now.

FranciscoGios

This was an iconic reaction I’m never going to forget it! Cassandra Nova is the Anti-Self of Professor Xavier which means she’s the entity if Xavier would turn evil. She can control atoms and form an Astro-body of herself, can merge or recreat DNA, she has telekinesis and telepathy. She’s the equivalent of Dr. Manhattan in Watchmen.

Rosie Park

I would choose the sleep one.. I'm insomniac anyways so I'd feel even better..plus my day revolves around what I'm eating at the next meal..ha..big joy in food...I really just walk the city for excercise so good still doing that..plus I enjoy the exploring while walking...

james repka

And, having traveled around the US a bit (including southern LA), that accent has got to be the most difficult to just pick up for a role.

REDR58

She-Hulk who predates the creation of Deadpool does 4th wall breaks and it works just fine there.

james repka

I'm not a comic-book superfan so I only get the references from the books that are explained to me. I haven't watched most of the X-men movies, but I get the humor and often pick up references afterward from the internet. Deadpool movies, like the sitcom Arrested Development, throw humor at you so rapidly that you only start to pick it up after several watches anyway. In the opening of the army of Deadpools scene. a prominent deadpool is seen with a Welsh flag on his suit. Officially dubbed "Welshpool," he is played by Paul Mullen, the leading goal scorer for Wrexham AFC, the football club purchased by Reynolds and Rob McKilhenny a few years back.

Michael Kemmet

The different Wolverines: 1. Comic accurate height (5'3") 2. Age of Apocalypse - Weapon X (1995 comics) 3. Patch - disguised version from 1988 comics when the X-Men were all in hiding 4. Cavillrine 5. Old Man Logan (2008 comics) - inspiration for Logan(film) 6. Crucified Wolverine - famous cover art from Uncanny X-Men #251 (1989) 7. John Byrne - Brown and Gold costume (1980-mid 90s)

Michael Kemmet

Some of the Deadpool variants: - Welshpool(a.k.a. Wrexhampool) - a nod to the football team Ryan partially owns (green & white upper chest w/ red dragon) - Canadapool - mostly black suit with Canadian flag on right breast - Deadpool 2099 - the futuristic one - the 2099 comics started in 1992, but DP didn't get hers until 2016 - Zenpool - the one that looks a little like Moon Knight - a reverse DP that's a pacifist - the reason for the tranq darts instead of guns - Roninpool - the samurai-looking one that ends up with tiny arms(because they were cut off during the big fight and were regrowing) - Kidpool and Babypool- voiced by Ryan's and Blake's kids

Gary Fixler

Simone sing-a-longs are how I figure out exactly how out-of-sync I am with the current video 😆

Gary Fixler

I can almost always eliminate choices, but George's list was all things I desperately want to get rid of 😆 I feel like sleep is the obvious choice for me, though. Always had issues with it, oversleeping, having to call out sick because I was too tired from poor time management, hating to go to bed, because I'm working on a million projects, etc. I would love to have 50% more wide-awake life, and I could get rid of my bedroom furniture, and get an entire other room, for more maker space.

Brendan Rafferty

Exercise George’s explanation is that by choosing the hypothetical magical option to never need to exercise again… you would maintain your health and fitness level unchanged. That’s the obvious winner. Getting rid of the need to sleep or eat gives you more time and saves you money …but to be able to be as healthy and fit as you were at 18 for the rest of your life… yes please

Donna Castellano

Nicholas Pauley was the dancer for Deadpool during the N'Sync bit. He's credited as Dancepool. There are several videos of him talking about how he got the gig. And that he learned the choreography while in his parents living room (as he was visiting them at the time). He has that video of him doing that available as well.

Guillermo Antonio Ricci Alvarez

If no one said it, Ryan Reynolds tried to adopt the dog but the dog already has a family and they said no.

Gary Fixler

That was so fun, but I need to watch it again. The movie was so loud, I heard about 20% of what you two were saying 😆

Gary Fixler

So Rob Liefeld, comic book artist, created the Deadpool character. He's also universal panned for being a bad artist. Example (scroll down a little bit for Captain America drawing by him): https://www.heromachine.com/category/liefeld-follies-friday/) I guess he's specifically bad at drawing feet. The shop Cassandra Nova throws Wolverine and Deadpool through is called Liefeld's Just Feet.

William G

I do find it funny that some folks complained about Tatum's accent which I didn't think was that bad. But his voice in the animated series is a Canadian, Chris Potter. I guess he got the accent right lol.

Bbb K

I watched this in the theater and almost fell asleep it was so boring. I am not interested in cameos, nostalgia or pointless fight scenes, and I am with Vanessa in being sick of Deadpool's shtick. Also, fourth wall breaks are only fun so many times. Without those elements you just have a lame plot. I do not even want to start about the ridiculous villain or the fricking TVA. I did however enjoy watching your YouTube cut of you guys enjoy it. I don't think I could stomach watching the whole thing again though for the Patreon version.

SpankTheMonk

Succession… that’s it. Succession, for your consideration ❤️🖖

SpankTheMonk

Yes, I think watching the final X-men movies is worth it. But i understand the need for speed and racing the algorithm on YouTube

Noel Valdez

I really had a blast with this movie when I saw it in theaters! I won't watch it with you guys until it gets on Disney Plus though. Lol but i've been waiting to rewatch it, and I haven't felt that way about a superhero movie in a long ass time. I think the last one I was like that with was End Game or Logan.

punterjoe

No hesitation. The bathroom one. Living in the USA, where public restrooms are difficult to impossible to find, I would love to never have to worry about frantically searching for a public toilet (which are often so disgusting they're only used in the most dire need). I would miss dreaming if I didn't sleep. I would miss taste, aroma and texture if I didn't eat or drink. I like being active, so the exercise thing is not an issue. And showering can be invigorating, ao I would miss that. I guess I'm not a good candidate for an android body. I would miss too many aspects of 'the inconvenient flesh' 😏

Hans Czajkowski Jørgensen

Re: Taking the pill to give up sleep and dreams: Aren't dreams a survival necessity? I'm pretty sure it is. Even people with chronic insomnia report intermittent dreamlike states when awake.

Grand Moff Slackin'

It’s probably been said, but there are too many comments to review: Gambit is Cajun so that’s supposed to be his accent. Cajuns are descended from French colonists in the Louisiana area of the US and Cajun language is kind of a hyper localized French dialect. I can’t speak to Tatum’s accuracy in his performance but it leans heavily on stereotypical Cajun accents I’ve heard on tv and movies. ❤️

Chris B

Regarding your question from the beginning convo - at the very moment of watching this reaction I'm in the middle for my preparation for a colonoscopy... so I choose to remove the need to go to the bathroom! ;)

IncredibleBulk

I wasn't sure if it would get picked up in the Captain Trivia Pool, but incase you missed it, I'd recommend checking who voiced Babypool and Kidpool

Stugotz

I'm kinda sad that Simone said she hated the dog. I think Dogpool was adorable!

Rain322

The food one could be good if you can still eat food for the pleasure of it. But yeah sleep is probably among the top choices, I wouldn't mind not having dreams haha

Kevin Bartelen

Out of the options you gave, I'd totally choose to never need to sleep again, I hate having to sleep, it's such a waste of time. Alternatively the option you didn't give, but I was saying before you even started naming options is breathing. I'd like the ability to go places without air, like underwater, and to not have to worry about choking, etc...

Kevin Bartelen

I mostly avoided spoilers, but there was one trailer, that after watching the movie I watched more than the unzippable 5 seconds (YouTube ad) and it's not even a trailer, it was a Heinz ad, and it's pretty damn funny. But it made me expect a scene that never actually happened since it wasn't a real trailer.

Kevin Bartelen

Of course there will be more Deadpool, he's Marvel Jesus. They need him.

Jason Johnson

When gambit is speaking what you’re hearing is called creole. The accent comes from Louisiana and other areas around that state. If you want a good example, find Justin Wilson on YouTube. He was a Louisiana cook that had a show on PBS.

Farbod

Sorry George, there will only ever be one Blade.

Shawn B

This is probably in my Top 5 Cinebinge react episodes. It's fun to watch people have fun watching people have fun.

Shaka, When the Walls Fell

I just watched this yesterday, and then did a watch-along with you guys today. HOLY FUCK!! How much in the colossal Peterpool balls fun was this? I want more. I want all 100 Deadpools and 100 Wolverine team-ups in the next one.

Mark Melanson

Did you guys notice that KidPool was Blake and Ryans oldest daughgter?

Philipp Roensch

Also finally here (release on Disney+ today :D). Very enjoyable reaction with you guys, sing-alongs and laughter very much appreciated! This movie really did everything right to make this a dream team up. Of course, plot and villains are a simple, but miss Emma Corrin really brought it in the terrifying department. She also played Princess Diana in The Crown, wish I would recommend for the long TV show list. For me, it feels like a great goodbye to some characters and a hopeful possible maybe for others to survive after FOX. I certainly love these wild cameos, full comic book weirdness, and hopefully it is never an indefinite goodbye.

Daniel Simmons

Hugh Jackman was great as always. Loved the return of Wesley Snipes and Daphne Keen. If this could've somehow been made as a non-Deadpool movie, it would've been great. Sick of Deadpool. The 1st movie was ok, but I'm just not big on the 4th-wall-breaking schtick.

DrkKngRayleigh

Changing Tatum was doing a Cajun accent (a mix of French and American Southern that's common in Louisiana) and it. Was. Perfect. Gambit was Cajun in the comics so he needed the accent. I lived in Louisiana for 3 years and that accent was spot on, including not understanding what he said half the time.

Odd Thomas

You should watch HIs Dark Materials starring Daphne Keen. Emma Corrin (scary bald lady) is in a great series too: Murder at the End of the World (think Dragon Tattoo, set in the Antarctic)

Amelie W

I'm 44, not declining in health would be great. It would have been even better at the time this video came out before I hurt my knee. . . The sleep pill would be so weird cause you'd go through a daily cycle of taking the pill, rebooting your brain and body as though having slept, doing your stuff, having three meals, winding down for the evening and stuff "every sixteen hours". You'll go through four days every three days. You'll be constantly disoriented and need to consult a calendar every fifteen minutes to make sure you're not missing Tuesday night book club or whatever. And if you skip the pill one night to try and realign yourself you probably won't know what year it is when you wake up. I could see using it "occasionally" to get more stuff done and to remind my body what having 8 hours of solid sleep feels like, but not like quit sleeping for life.
