Daylight savings time 🙂

Ouchie! You meanies are ruining my spooky season! If Mimi and Papa were here, they'd wash that poopeh right out your mouths.

Stephanie

Oma is german for grandma. 😊

Ash Lee Can

I was actually thinking about people using the phrase "Spooky Season" the other day. I think with people saying "Spooky Season", I remember that Halloween is technically a holiday, and not everyone celebrates said holiday (I used to have Christian friends growing up who's families were strict about not being allowed to celebrate Halloween, and now they do Trick or Treating in churches, but not in celebration to the holiday itself), or the fact that not everyone is into the scary/horror aspect that commonly surrounds it (especially in the US), so "Spooky Season" is less about Halloween, and is more about the general "vibes" (we're in the era that's all about the vibes lol), that comes with the month of October, instead of the holiday itself...

Brandon

Adults taking normal words and going out of their way to "infantalize" or to sound extra cute is incredibly grating to me. I know someone who goes out of their way to call a calculator a "quack-u-lator" because that's what the baby characters in Rugrats would call it. This person was already 12 when they first saw Rugrats, btw. I know someone else who always calls scissors "skizzies" because they think it's funny that they use to have a hard time pronouncing the word when they were 3 years old. Edit: Adults doing completely basic and normal things that adults are supposed to do by default and then calling it "adulting" is another one for me. You're supposed to pay your damn bills, you don't need to tweet or make an instagram post about it! Ugh.... people. Anyway... Scream 2 is exactly my kind of dumb fun. Roseanne was in its final season when the first Scream came out, and it was only off the air for a few months when Scream 2 came out in theaters. I grew up watching Roseanne every single week with my family. So for Laurie Metacalf - Aunt Jackie herself, to be the killer blew my mind and blew it hard. She does the crazy eyes so well!

Ash Lee Can

I respect the fact that George is self aware enough that it's ISSUE regarding the phrase and not the people who say it. Not everyone has that type of self awareness and would rather attack othet in the belief that they are right because in their mind, their thoughts and feelings regarding things are more valid than others, instead of perhaps having some form of self reflection as to WHY they are so bothered about something harmless that other people do, you know? Or simply go about their business with their feelings...

Andrew

I’m with you on the grandparents words. That always grates on my ears too. My biggest one I think, though, is the word “tummy.” It drives me insane, even from kids, really.

Scott Souza

You guys should check Fright Night (1985) and the remake in 2011 is good too

FischerMax98

Fun reaction. Should at least watch the 3rd one also. It's good.

AJ Lynch

scream 3 is some favorites... but I don't care for it. But I kinda do think it keeps getting better

Ash Lee Can

Funny y'all mention whether or not. SMG was kind of a rising star. She had already won a Daytime Emmy for Best Young Actor about a year or so before tein the soap opera All My Children as little hell on wheels original Kendall Hart going up against the famous charactet Erika Kane played by soap veteran, Susan Lucci. She had already did I know what you did Last Summer before this (which her character is still the fan favorite). Buffy was just popping off and I think she was also filming the second season around that time, so by it which was popping at the time, iykyk. So by the time, SMG was already making a name for herself in horror and as a notable 90s Sceam Queen... Funny enough, Jada Pinkett was most likely the bigger star at the time, especially in film. She had just starred in Set It Off (1996), along with Queen Latifah, Vivica A Fox, & Kimberly Elise, which I HIGHLY reccommend 🤌🏾. She also just co-starred alongside The Nutty Professor with Eddie Murphy that same year, which was a big hit. She also had starred in many other popular, Black Hollywood Films like Menace II Society, Low Down Dirty Shame (a hilarious Kenan Wayans film), and Jason's Lyric, films showing her range from very dramatic role to very comedic roles, so her name was definitely out there, so they kinda did do the whole "kill a star". Omar Epps, who played the boyfriend, was also a popular actor in young Black Hollywood as well. And of course they also wanted to play on the fact that not only was Scream an all white cast which makes the irony of the two having the conversation abconvnot only the lack of diversity in the genre but how they're (not) properly used, making their deaths extra meta, but to also play on the "horror trope" of killing off the black characters first, while also including two more black characters, one character in "the black best friend" era being brought up on the suspect list for being a potentially, unorthodox plottwist of a killer, and the other a potential suspect for never being around, but doing what the black community alway joke as to why they can't really make horror movies with black people of our community would most likely do in these situations, which is spoofed in Scary Movie, where the black news station getting the hell out of dodge as they report the murder lol. Funny enough, Duane Martin, who played the cameraman, was asked by Wes Craven what would he think he character do in this situation. And sure enough, Duane said his character would just leave, Wes had him take a cab and leave, then come back at the end lol (it helped because there were so many leaks with the script that they had to keep changing the script and making fake ones). His character is considered to be one of the smartest characters in a horror movie lol...

beecroft adams

They reminded you of billys mother in the clip from Stab with Tori Spelling.

Ash Lee Can

Also, funny that y'all mentioned how absurd and wild it would be when funny enough, that's actually one of biggest, personal, horror pet peeves of killing off the previous final girl or survivor in the beginning to the following film(one of my ffavorite/underrated final girls suffered from this trope), so it actually happens often, especially in slashers lol. At least enough to make me and some other notice lol..

REDR58

I don’t really remember people using “spooky season” until the last few years, certainly not when I was a kid in the 1970s and 1980s. Apparently the phrase itself, according to the briefest of Google searches, goes back to at at least 1909: https://www.newspapers.com/article/herald-news-spooky-season/61086243/ If I were speaking to someone about my grandparents, I would say “My grandmother (or grandfather) said that…” but if I was addressing her or talking about her with family member (only, not someone outside the family) we would refer to her as “Baba” (in my maternal grandmother’s case). Or “grandmom” (in my paternal grandfather’s case). My paternal grandfather was “Pop-Pop.” I never knew my maternal grandfather as he died when mother was a teenager, years before I was born. I suspect we would have called him the male equivalent of “Baba” whatever that might have been.

Shane Driscoll

The caller ID gag in the beginning is especially funny because, in real life, there was a huge spike in people signing up for caller ID right after the first film came out.

Skylar Burns

No one died in The Conjuring I don't think. You guys already watched that one so it's safe to spoil for you.

Jethro Divine

I heard that 3 kills makes you a serial killer. Does this mean that Sid is a serial killer?

Joshua M Freeman

Ouchy! I stubbed my tootsie during spooky season!

Ash Lee Can

Liev Schreiber was in the first film but in one little scene. He was the man Billy & Stu framed for killing Sydney's mother. He was shown on the news being shown getting taken away by the cops from that court case, scowling at the camera, when Sydney and Dewey's family were watching it the morning after her first attack. It was just one little scene (he was rocking that 90s, straightened, mid-part hairstyle that was similar to Billy's), so it's easy to miss and dismiss. So, they brought him in and actually gave him a much bigger role for the sequel, and it actually became his breakout role. Funny enough, Cotton Weary is probably Liev's most known role. This is who most of us know him as. Sabretooth came much later, then later starring in his own tv series Ray Donavan. He of course had other roles in films like starring in The Omen (2006) remake, rounding out his Top 3 most known roles...

Monica Alarcon

Nobody actually dies in Poltergeist... all the ghosties (oh sooorry, all the ghosts) were dead before the movie started...

Brandon

I really hope they at least watch Scream 3 so I can see if they notice the Epstein connection. 😆 Opinions vary from movie to movie, but overall I think the quality of writing, acting and filming is the same in the entire franchise so far. You could make an argument that the older movies look better, having been shot on film vs digital. Other than that, the overall quality has never dropped to a "straight to video" kind of feel. There's always been a nice amount of known actors mixed with newer actors on the rise and every movie has turned a solid profit. Scream 4 is probably the worst one and it made the least money.

Armchair Rizzard

i like saying spooky season and i don't think its the same as using infantilizing language. But I do agree some cutesy words can be grating on the ears. EDIT: I DESPISE people saying "Fur Babies" when referring to their pets. Its such an ugly sounding phrase.

King_Panarisi

Please don't skip any of them. You have to watch them all to make the later ones even better.

King_Panarisi

The middle section of the M in Scream 5 is a bit larger making it a roman V (5) but they should have made that section another colour so it stands out more.

Stugotz

if that were the case then soldiers in war would be considered serial killers too

Ash Lee Can

Funny Note: The joke about Tori Spelling playing Sydney on the Stab movie is from a joke from the first film where Sydney, Tatum, & Dewey are talking about what if they made a movie about the murders, who would play Sydney. Dewey suggested that she reminds him of a young Meg Ryan. Sydney said, "...with my luck, I'd get Tori Spelling", as a slight lol. Sure enough, they get the REAL Tori Spelling to play herself playing Sydney in the Stab film 😆. She also later played in Scary Movie 2 lol...

Monica Alarcon

All of the movies mentioned are real movies...

Matt Landon

All of the films are definitely worth watching, and none ever hit the straight to video/streaming quality, though the third is probably the least successful as it leans even further to some of the comedy of the 2nd film, bordering on being silly, yet it remains an entertaining watch simply for its meta aspects and the jokes that do land, though the overall tone it a bit muddled. The first three form a bit of a piece of their own, with 2 & 3 being direct continuations and both similar in tone, then there is a significant gap in time between productions. After that gap, Scream 4 gets back to a more serious and grounded tone more in common with the 1st film (of course the original still had a great deal of levity, which 4 maintains). I think it's solid, not as good as the original, but 1 & 4 are of a piece just as 2 & 3 are. And yes, most of the comedy in 2 & 3 is intentional even though there are aspects that are dated, along with parts of the dialogue that are unintentionally funny for being either underwritten or overwritten. Remember that the original was a massive hit, and the studio was pushing for a quick turnaround to capitalize on that success, so there wasn't a ton of time to allow the stories to come about organically, so it may be similar to the second album problem that happens when bands/artists try to follow up a breakthrough album that was years in the making with one that was produced to quickly follow that success to maintain that momentum. After 4 there is another significant gap before the more recent reboot/renewal series, and just as Scream 4 returned the (slightly) more serious tone, the recent pair of films re-energizes the horror and slasher elements, as they are scarier and have a more modern feel, but they also serve as a continuation of the ongoing series storyline while also introducing a new generation into the mix, and I think they're both very well done and each easily exceeded my expetations, particularly 6, which was done on a 1 year turnaround. There is a seventh on the way from the same team, and I'm optimistic about it as well. Only the first is really a great/classic movie, but none of the rest are bad, though 3 would probably be the closest to that line, but it's still fun and has some great references and cameos. As far as I remember you're not going to be spoiled on specific things in the rest of the series, and even if something is referenced it is either widely known in pop culture or more of a deep cut for the serious horror fans They do make more visual references in the filmmaking and story construction itself, but it is not directly referenced in the movie, but there are recreated shots, allusions, and Easter eggs for those who know (there were a few in 2 as well). My rankings would be Scream: A Scream 2: C+ Scream 3: C- Scream 4: B Scream 5: B+ Scream 6: A- If I were producing for you, I'd follow up on 3 before too long, then just as the series does, I would take a break for a bit watch 4, and then whenever the new film is released you get back to 5 & 6. Then your experience will be closer to those of us who watched as they were released, the recent films serve as a natural lead in to 7, and you never really get burnt out on them.

Sir Jimmothy

You should at least do Scream 3, that completes the real trilogy. The others after that get a bit generic, but that's also a bit rich coming from this series.

REDR58

(Duplicate comment for some reason!)

Monica Alarcon

Scream 3 is definetly the weakest but I hope you watch it because of a certain unexpected cameo...

Ash Lee Can

Eh, I don't think it would be unbelievable for Syd and her friend to not take off the mask and get the gun. T For one, they probably weren't even thinking about the gun or about the cop at all, so they probably didn't see that he was still holding it (wouldn't most just assume he dropped it at some point between getting hit by the car and getting his head impaled). They were focused on the killer, who's probably still armed and unpredictable. Since Sydney accidentally hit the horn, she didn't want to risk him waking up, which it most since he left so quickly after they ran off, especially in the midst of all of that chaos and adrenaline of just hoping to not die. It's the, do I risk my life in this situation for answers, which a lot of times would be a no-no in many horror movies. Just get the hell out of there Intially, they just most likely wanted to not risk dying after they got out, like the friend said. I mean, they literally got REALLY lucky that they were able to get out, especially considering that the killer WAS actually awake. Sydney was tired of running so she went back, but by then was too late...

Eric Brown

All deaths in The Blair Witch Project are implied and not shown

JiggyTurtle

Scream 3 is my least favorite, but there is no bad Scream movie

TGrimace

Definitely keep going!

Samuel Bruce

Don't skip there all good with the third being the weakest in the franchise

imperial

Don't agree with all of the hate on Scream 3. I think it's a great ending to the trilogy. It brings the entire story full circle, and gives closure to Sidney's story. Scream 4 is the useless movie that doesn't belong. Scream 5 is the start of a new trilogy focusing on new characters and it's very good. Scream 6 is one of the best in the series. Scream 4 just needs to be deleted from existence and this would be a perfect franchise.

Cincassette

I'd say definitely keep going with the franchise. All of them are worth watching, and continue being a lot of fun and generally quite good.

imperial

Regardless of the mixed feelings on some of the movies, I think they are ALL worth watching. I think they do a great job of making it VERY hard to guess who the killer is every time. And the meta satire is very smart most times.

DM DC

Okay, I say this as friendley as possible.... It IS Spooky season. Sooo many youtubers say it. Soooo many people say it. At least that is how it is here in the States. So yeah. Also to comment on Georges comment of " That's different right?-Cause it's from a different language" It's not actually that different really cause it could also be the tradition of that specific family/side of the family. I called my grandma from my mom's side Grandma. And from my dad's side Nana. Every family is likely going to be different like that. I just wanted to say: I love "The Big Bang Theory". I also wished I cared about something. Okay again saying as friendley as possible: When you two guess about a movie, it's sometimes really cringe in my eyes lol. I am by no means saying you shouldn't - to be fair and honest it does make me chuckle. But there has only been maybe one time each (that I have seen and recall) where you were each sorta right about a different movie. So many times you two are so far off it may as well have been another film lol. I do think you two do often read to much into some things especially tag lines or poster details to inspire your guesses and that's usually when you'll be really far off. But then that is good too cause if the poster or tag line led you to the correct conclusion then it would actually either be a crappy movie, or crappy poster, or both ~shrugs~. So it's not actually bad at all to be that wrong in your guesses. I just wanted to comment about it, and say it always does give me a chuckle. Keep it up. I was gunna say something else but forgot so I'll leave on this and below. Great reaction always have fun watching you two. You actually have to watch 3 and 4 before continuing with 5 and 6. Not gooing to say any more than that. Also I would recommend not looking at any more posters or info about the later movies.

Zoltán Bublos

Scream 3 is straight up bad and boring, you can skip it. Scream 4 and later films are good again, you can watch them.

Justtired

Though Scream 3 is (in my opinion) the weakest of the franchise, you probably should keep going in order. Especially if you’re going to watch 5 & 6.

Michele

All of them!

djKENTO

One of my favorite BTS facts about this movie is that Dewey’s guitar theme is the hero theme from the John Woo film Broken Arrow. They used it as a temp track and liked it so much that it became his theme for all the movies in this series he's in.

DM DC

I forgot to mention in my previous post that Liev Schreiber is featured in the first film as Cotton Weary but it was on a news broadcast and to my recolection he didn't have any lines. It was just news footage.

Odd Thomas

Definitely continue with the Wes Craven Screams (1-4). 5 is passable but don't even get me started on 6.

Odd Thomas

Yes watch Candyman, it's iconic. So many movies have borrowed from it.

KevinM

You mentioned that there should have been some reminder of Mrs. Loomis in the film before the reveal, and they actually did that, just in an almost too subtle way. When the reporter was interviewing Tori Spelling, the "scene" from Stab that they showed in the cutaway from the interview was essentially the scene in the first movie where Billy complains that his mom left town and Sidney rightfully responds that what happened to her mom is very different. I think it's a bit hard to tell the first time through, but on a rewatch I think it's clear they chose to reenact that scene to put Billy's mother back in the mind of the audience.

Jay

Randy getting the Aliens quote wrong will never fail to piss me off 😠😠

Mitchell Bowker

I agree! Mrs Loomis was set up very well and subtly, all the clues were there, but the film was very effective in hiding them in plain sight whilst your attention was on other things or suspects. A real magician's trick that you pick up on better second viewing! And she was always LOOMIng around Gale, conveniently at the location of a Ghostface attack, then ran off right before another attack happened. Watching it this time with them I swore they would pick up on it because it's much more obvious once you know.

Jay

The script had leaked online and they didn't have much time for a rewrite (this came out less than a year after the original). I'm guessing that names angle was explored further in the original script. No idea why they didn't cut that scene out, this film doesn't need to be 2 hours long. Still love it though:)

Jay

Also, the OG Candyman is great. Please watch it.

Jacob King

People hating on Scream 3 like it’s not a commentary on third films in a franchise. It’s meant to be trashy and implausible and slightly off kilter. It’s the Tokyo Drift of Screamland.

Steve G

Great reaction guys!. I do consider watching the rest of them, they get better and there all connected. I would say the third one is the weakest but it’s still entertaining. Keep it going though.

Nathan Jasper, the Artist Formerly Known as Primary

So, people being interested in death is, number one, why we have horror films in the first place and, two, it's not much different than trying to see a car wreck on the highway. It's pure curiosity to see if you can see someone mangled

darkmoobs

I’d say the entire series is worth watching, but Scream 3 is probably the weakest of the bunch, it’s still pretty good though.

Cory Garron

It's what I most remember him from. I'm equally as likely to call him Cotton Weary as I am Liev Schreiber. And his half-brother (who was born in Ymir) was in The Wire.

Cory Garron

Scream 3 is the only one I saw in theaters. I've only seen 4,5 and 6 once each over the last 3-4 years. I found them kind of meh, but I am looking forward to re-watching them (and giving them another chance) with George and Ouchie Simone.

Matthew Blackwood

I think the important thing to note is when you see how silly Scream 3 gets, don’t assume the whole series keeps going that way. It’s by far the broadest of the bunch.

Simone's Coconut Squire

I want to say nobody dies in Jacob's Ladder... well... I mean technically nobody dies... er actually... um... nevermind that one's complicated.

MacGuffinStuff

Yeah the movies Randy mentioned are all real, mostly low-budget 80s slashers I think. And I personally agree that House 2 is better than House, they both have a lot of comedy but House 2 is wackier and I think more fun, great practical effects and makeup for the time.

Grandalf

Currently enjoying the opening conversation about nicknames for grandparents and I had to chime in. As soon as my daughter told me I was going to be a grandpa, (holy fuck, 8 YEARS AGO?!), I told her I was calling dibs on my "grandpa name" and from that day on, I have been GRANDALF! Just thought you guys would get a kick out of that. That reminds me, that first lil hobbit is almost ready to watch Lord of the Rings and I can't wait.

BigGuy209

Please keep watching the franchise. You don’t need to watch any other movies for the rest of the franchise.

akaTheBARON

Keep going with the Scream films. There are 6 total with Scream 7 coming out in early 2026. But wait... there's more... 2028 Will be "8cream: The College Years" and shows when Sydney's parents met in college, and were terrorized by the very first Ghostface killer, and this totally doesn't make you question why none of this is referenced in the first Scream. 2029 There will be "Scream 9: Back to the Minors" where the current Ghostface killers are in a rut so have to "go back to the basics" (whatever that means) 2031 They have Scream 9 on the scheduled but it's called "I, Scream" and it takes place 50 years in the future and they have to figure out which robot is killing people....or which robots :O Then they have a 5 year break scheduled where they will come out with a Scream reboot, it won't do well, so after that they will do the thing where they go back to the original franchise, ignore a huge chunk of the sequels, and make another sequel to the OG Scream that negates Scream 2-9, and it will be called something cliche like "Scream Legacy" (working title as of now) and it will make people wonder what was the point of doing yet another "make a sequel to the original film decades later that erases all the previous sequels" thing. Full disclosure, everything after "but wait... there's more..." are all just rumors. I trust my source but take it with a grain of salt. Definitely continue through the existing films is my current recommendation tho, take the others as they come LOL

Christian Rennie

For me, the sequels movies shape enough of the new ones to be relevant and are worth it. House 2 is one of my favorite campy horror movies of all time. It's more fun than the original and also a Halloween movie since Halloween night takes place during the movie. House 1 has some campiness but tries to do the horror more. The sequel does the campiness better and the horror better imo. It might be worth it as a bonus Halloween movie, just saying. 😅.

REDR58

I have very strong memories of seeing previews of Jacob’s Ladder when it came out, but I’ve yet to see the movie.

REDR58

Seeing this movie made me remember when we had separate Caller Id displays on our phones. It was really fancy when they became integrated right with the phone!

REDR58

Fun reaction. Enjoyed the movie quite a bit. George, I *think* you seemed unclear what a “900” number was that is mentioned in the movie? If so, 900 numbers are phone number one could call in the US for a variety of “services” or entertainment, everything from astrology to music promotion to sex chats typically you were billed by the minute and there were a multitude of 900 numbers back in the day for those purposes: https://www.marketplace.org/2021/03/25/why-dont-we-use-900-numbers-anymore/ This was spoofed on the Simpsons at least once, as you might expect: https://youtu.be/hqJ5gKZNkuY?si=m5ywIm3F04HqWIYc

Thirty Year Old Mulberry Field

While I can’t deny that morbid spectacle is a big draw to horror, it’d say there’s appeal to the genre beyond that. Like the chance to explore unique topics like grief, trauma and loss in ways that would be out of place in other types of flicks. Or that horror can get a lot more inventive/creative in its storytelling and themes than usually given credit for.

Thirty Year Old Mulberry Field

I can appreciate the level of consistency that Wes Craven tried to put into the “Scream” series, something he felt was lacking in later entries for “A Nightmare On Elm Street”. But I can’t say I get why Scream 2 is usually considered one of the better horror movie sequels. Even lesser revered slashers like the aforementioned NOES, “Friday the 13th”, “Child’s Play”, or TCM have sequels that I have a more fun time with than Scream 2 or 3. I am a big fan of Scream 4 though, and IMO it’s aged better than the ones prior to it. Since it was brought up, I l hope y’all give “Candyman” a shot!

Shonnicus

That's that Noxzema girl.

E. D.

fun fact: I‘ll join a halloween-10k-run in full ghostface costume including a plastic kitchen knife 🔪

sol stapleton

Yeah Finnish this franchise. 5 is probably my favourite

PeppermintWizardOfAus

All the scream movies are pretty great, 5 and 6 being my favorite

Rev

I vote keep going. But I hope you don't check the cast list of 3 before watching it.

Noel Valdez

Do all the movies they're awesome! I know everyone hates the 3rd one but in my eyes compared to other horror franchises it isn't terrible. Scream IMO is the best horror franchise. I love these movies so much, and the newest ones are fun too!

Carl Noraas

Definitely watch the first 4 movies. Nr. 3 is the let down for me, but I LOVED nr. 4. The newer one's aren't that good imo, but for sure round out the first 4! :)

Noel Valdez

I love all these movies. They're fun popcorn flicks, but I also have a love for campy stuff and that's what these movies are to me.

Owenrock1221

Technically this movie came out in December of 1997 and Buffy started in March of 1997...so she would of had her Buffy powers lol

Trevor S Bright

Liev Schreiber was Kingpin in "Into the Spider-Verse" Technically Billy's mom was mentioned by Luke Wilson playing Billy in the "Stab" scene on TV. Plus, Randy called him a "momma's boy". Movies like this kinda sorta require back-to-back viewing almost like Lord of the Rings.

Trevor S Bright

You guys did do a horror movie where no one dies (except a dog): The Conjuring

Trevor S Bright

Scream 5, or just "Scream" 2022, is confusingly titled so because of the 2018 "Halloween". Because the "Halloween" franchise had multiple canons with 1-6 or 1,2,7,8 or the 2 Rob Zombie movies that the 2018 one presumably didn't have a good title. Plus since it was the start of a new Halloween canon and was the 1st new one in several years, it felt like a return to formula. So in this new continuity, the next sequel to "Halloween" 1978 is "Halloween" 2018. So...yeah the 5th Scream I think was named so just because of Halloween 2018. Which is pretty stupid cuz there are no diverging canons. P.S. I'm pretty sure you're good to go to watch Scream 3 and 4 at least. I don't think those are quite as big on specific movie references.

Trevor S Bright

The ending felt rushed because they had to completely rewrite it. I don't know if they ever filmed the original ending, but it leaked on the Internet (which is even referenced in "Scream 3")...the original killers were Derek the boyfriend and Hallie the best friend who were secretly lovers. So, yes, the Mickey and Mrs. Loomis were kinda pulled out of the writer's ass due to dang leaks (that sounded wrong LOL).

BangDroid

When I get called Uncle by random strangers, Chinese parents talking to their child, "Say hi Uncle", it makes me. Very. Uncomfortable. And this actually involves me, I'm not a external observer listening to adults use baby talk or cutesy nicknames. But it doesn't make me angry, and it's not like I could ever stop this anyway, but it is what it is - different folks different strokes.

Tanx

well they also spelled it 5cream, so 5 was in the name. I remember a lot of people just calling it Five Cream hehe.

Tanx

Laurie Metcalf, Mrs Loomis, was on a long running sitcom called "Rosanne" back in the 80s and 90s and the renewed show with the same cast now called "the Conners" that was started a few years back. Since you mentioned Big Bang Theory, she played Sheldon's mom. She also voices Andy's Mom from Toy Story. And she was on Norm MacDonald's sitcom from the late 90s....she has been in a lot of stuff lol. This movie had a lot of big names, funny thing is that there is another popular(but less good) horror/slasher called Urban Legend with some of the same cast from the opening scene in the Film Class and sorority scene. It's not a great movie, but had a fun premises revolving around Urban Legends that were spread like crazy all over the country even before most people had the internet. Matthew Lillard, Stu from the first movie, visited Neve Campbell on set while they were filming the Sorority party scene. He ended up playing an extra in the background during one of the outside scenes. He has bleach blonde hair in the shot. Also Liev Schreiber(Cotton) brought his dog with him to filming and the dog also got to play an extra in the shot where they go to the murder after the party. you can see him running down the steps while they are leaving the house. Honestly the whole Scream franchise is a great watch and well within what would be great content for reaction videos. just the way they continue with dealing with different tropes of sequels, trilogies, legacy, reboot, re-quel, to franchise is great. You basically get a full education of the slasher genre. it almost makes you appreciate the corniest of schlock released from the 70s-90s. For me it made the whole franchise feel fresh throughout. Although there were a few parts that annoyed me, I still really enjoy each movie. Lol I also feel so old...or too southern when I was thrown off by you two not knowing who Barney Fife was. He was from a hugely popular American classic tv show. Had no idea it was one of those huge classic shows that never was popular outside the US. He was the comedic relief clumsy/goofy deputy on the show. was well before my time(first seasons were in black and white), but it's the show that Ron Howard got his start as a child actor on and was aired all the time on Nickelodeon at night. Basically everyone around my age and older knows who Barney is.

I had a childhood friend who called his parents by their first name. Made me so uncomfortable, they tried to get me to call their mom Tracy...like..no.. I'm 7. Also grandmas who refused to be called that because they don't want to feel old. My great aunt is literally called Glam-ma. The cringe I feel ..can't be described. I called my grandmas Mimi and MawMaw still refer to them as that and I'm 28. Grandpas were pawpaw.

I'm surprised you guys didn't notice the drama teacher is David Warner from Titanic!

Scream 3 is terrible, but does get referenced in later movies(especially, presumably the next entry, Scream 7). It's a really embarrassing movie, possibly Wes Craven's worst film, but you've certainly watched worse films on the channel. Anyway, Scream 4 has a great beginning and ending and is generally entertaining. Scream[5] and Scream VI are probably the best entries since the first one, so I hope you make it to them.

The other movies mentioned that you guys thought were fake are real. The ones Randy listed as he was taking to Ghostface were slashers that took place in a college setting, i.e. "The Dorm That Dripped Blood", "Splatter University", "Graduation Day". The one Joshua Jackson mentioned jokingly "House II: The Second Story" is a standalone sequel to the 1986 movie "House", made by the same people who did "Friday the 13th". "House" is a horror-comedy that takes place, of course, in a haunted house. The inside joke in this scene is that most fans of "House" hated "House 2" because not only is it more sci-fi/fantasy then horror, but the comedy was turned up...plus the plot had nothing to do with the 1st movie, kinda like how "Halloween 3: Season of the Witch" didn't have Michael Myers.

Can't believe these two are barely watching the Scream movies. The reveals of the Ghostface Killers are always a cringe let down. Scream 2 is the worst in the series. And there bringing back a past killer in the new Scream coming out. They're all overrated with the lack of any better creativity. Rest in Peace Wes Craven.
