Bad Boys is ok. Bad Boys 2 is the best one out of the series. Bad Boys 2 feels like the peak for the series. Bad Boys 3 not bad. Just doesn't have the same feeling as the first two. It has that lacking feeling Sony is known for whether it's the editing or the screenplay or both. I only saw Bad Boys 3 once. I haven't seen the 4th one yet, but the 4th one feels like they wanted to make one last Bad Boys but didn't know what the storyline will be and they came up with what they came up with.

You two should check out the original Bad Boys 1983 with Sean Penn, Ally Sheedy, and a Clancy Brown from The Penguin and Shawshank Redemption. And Mr. Crabs. The movie came out two years after Escape From New York. The same film style look

The craziest thing about this movie, to me, is that apparently it was originally written for Dana Carvey and Jon lovits. Which is such a vastly different movie in my mind. And if you are unaware of who they are then I advise everyone watch Trapped in Paradise. It stars them and Nicolas Cage and is a great Christmas movie.

I would say at the time when this came out, he definitely was, since this was before Independence Day and Men in Black. (Obviously, once those came out, he went into the stratosphere of movie stardom.)

If you like Martin Lawrence you should definitely check out a hilarious underrated film with two giants Lawrence and Tim Robbins called Nothing To Lose, a quirky 90s crime/road comedy no one really ever talks about lol

Bad Boys II is probably the perfect encapsulation of Michael Bay in movie form—his best and worst tendencies. But I love it. It’s everything a sequel should do: bigger, better, and more epic in scope. It’s indulgent in action, excess frat boyish humor, heightened sexualization, fetishization of Americana imagery, but the kind that goes to an 11 it overwhelms the senses. I can’t wait for you guys to delve further into this series. One of the most consistently entertaining franchises out there.

David Fincher's The Killer, Bong Joon-Ho's Memories of Murder, Bond movies (you watched casino royale years ago then just never continued) Serious lack of Paul Thomas Anderson (Punch Drunk Love, Magnolia, The Master, Phantom Thread) and I'd also throw in some David Lynch (dune doesn't count) as those would make for some great reactions i feel.
