George as the baby is giving me serious Mini-Me vibes.

2026-09-05 05:00 IMHO Nick Cage is never more Nick Cagey than in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. Really hope to see that on a poll someday.

S&G you are the GOAT of thumbnails 😂

ShōNuff3K

I do NOT compliment THUMBNAILS!!!!!!! But, this one is legendary 🤩

nj

in lieu of firing a baby, how about: -one of the babies had to be let go during filming; or -the production parted ways with one of the babies during filming; or -one of the babies left during filming to pursue other projects?

Kyle B

"They had Yodas and shit on em" is one of my favorite movie lines ever.

Jeff K.

Since you guys got so excited to see Frances McDormand, a reminder: Almost Famous. Great movie and she’s fantastic in it.

Christina Doxstader

Since this is a Coen Bros movie I would like to suggest The Hudsucker Proxy again. It's another Coen movie and one that doesn't get as much love as their other movies but I think it's wonderful. Anyway, great reaction as always.

Galactic Cannibl

"Say that reminds me.." So glad you enjoyed the movie! This was 1 of the first movies I remember seeing as a little kid and always loved it!

Renee MeowMeow Beans

100% agree - love that movie! And perfect for New Years. 🙂

What a gift for Thursday morning! I'm so happy you liked this movie. Every single person in my family loves it - and still quote it constantly to this day. One of the most quotable movies ever. Also, in the filmmaking, there are a lot of parallel shots; for example when Hi is crawling under the car to get away from Smalls, it replicates the shot where Hi was pulling the baby from under the crib. Same with the drooling baby, replicating the drooling of Smalls when he realizes the pin has been pulled from the grenade. It's delightful, but there are a lot of emotional layers, which I love. Thank you guys!

0:53 "Look at how big his feet are, I feel like he can outrun anything." Now this here is called foreshadowing. :-) 3:03 "Full of red flags"? I don't know about that. So far, he's been very consistent, and he goes to great efforts to be with her. 4:09 And the YouTube edit abruptly cuts away before George delves deeper into his foot fetish. Believe me, people, you really want to see the full-length reaction! :-P :-) 4:45 (i) This minute I learned (or re-learned) that "salad days" is of Shakespearean origin: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salad_days (ii) "I'm not happy when there's a salad!" I most certainly am. Let the fools stuff themselves with the roughage, while I get more of the good stuff! (iii) Elvis, take it away! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4csFnpZXek 9:04 "I thought they were going to talk to them." "Would you be interested in trading one of your five babies for this here fine ladder?" 10:41 Mazel tov! It's a baby John Goodman! 15:49 Some reactors here do not seem to have great purity of essence. Must come from all of that fluoridation in Socialist Canada. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MK_3DJzhmI&t=1242s Yeah, you know me. 17:26 Here's the part of the movie I was dreading. I cannot abide "Polish jokes." In fact, I'm so offended, I shall be leaving now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_0q_CXl41s

Another unique movie i know you'll both love is Big Fish! Its been on a poll once before and hope it gets voted for again

Scott S.

please, try to watch The General's Daughter (1999) and Basic (2003)

MPH

The Coen Brothers are the best of the best. Love this movie.

ShōNuff3K

Furiosa is Moonstruck because she was Almost Famous. 🤞🏾

Mike FromOz

There are shots from this movie which mirror ones in "No Country for Old Men", that being the one where H.I. stops the man in the pickup truck to get away, with the windscreen being shot through by another (not killing the driver in this movie though), and where the biker Smalls is standing in the door way of their home, much like Anton Chigurh does at Moss' trailer. Also the reason for the Sam Raimi style camera work is because Joel and Ethan worked with Raimi for both Evil Dead 1&2.

Zinphad

Thought the same thing about the feet comment.

Wolfgang Wolf

OPE POE are on the restroom door because the cinematographer for this film also filmed Dr. Strangelove where those letters are an important plot point.

LighthouseGuy

Recommendation: I don’t know if you watch mcu stuff on this channel, but if you have watched wandavision and multiverse of madness, Agatha all along is very good. Probably the best thing marvel have made in a good while.

REDR58

That thumbnail is frightfully disturbing. I love it.

Michael

Simone quoting Vampire’s Kiss gives me life

Rachel W

I'm from Arizona and absolutely love this film. My only very minor gripe is everyone in the film speaks with Southern accents and Arizonans don't have Southern accents. We speak with a Standard American accent. Also Brit actor and writer, Simon Pegg has said Raising Arizona was a big influence on him as a film maker. I think of Hot Fuzz when he's on the horse and the guns criss crossed on his back! Very Leonard Smalls. lol

Paul T Hewes

"Your mom kinda freaked me out..."

Stugotz

I'm guessing you guys are going to be watching some Christmas movies next month, I'd like to suggest a few of my favorites: A Christmas Story The Muppet Christmas Carol How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000 - Jim Carrey) The Santa Clause National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation Edward Scissorhands (kind of a Christmas movie)

Jeff K.

"Rockstars have kidnapped my son."

Eversharpe

The Muppet Christmas Carol, is the best version of A Christmas Carol, and I will die on that hill

Felreign

I will join you

Angzarr

I was so excited when I saw this made the list! One of my favorites, and I knew you two would love it. And so quotable! Simon Pegg was hugely influenced by this movie. He also has the best description of it I've ever heard: "It's a living, breathing Looney Tunes cartoon"

Will Sofer

Agreed. Seems strange to say that a movie with puppets is the best film adaptation of Charles Dickens, but it actually is. Highly recommend Simone and George make some time to watch it, if they can.

matan ron

I hope you'll consider watching Fargo (2014 -) on the chanell. Not talking about the movie from 1996 but the TV series that is kinda spiritual sequel to the Coen bros movie. I think you will really enjoy it, they did a good job of recreating the Coen brothers style of dark, quirky and ironic humor.

Cody Cameron

Can any help me find my name in the credits I don't see it. I have been subscribed since October and maybe I just don't see it or maybe its not there yet

G P

Also, the end with the vivid, almost prescient dreams - and then he woke up

mrchicken388

Please watch the Holdovers for Christmas

Lex Kuzma

I highly recommend every Coen Bros film. So glad you guys liked this one so much.

Rachel W

Nic Cage's most sane, serene character was probably , "Moonstruck", the fantastic Oscar winning film from the same year as Raising Arizona. You guys have to watch that one, it's so good. Also starring Cher.

Wrencher86

I would also like to throw my voice in with the Muppet Christmas Carol praise.

Galactic Cannibl

I hope you guys continue the Coen brothers experience and check out The Ballad of Buster Scruggs anthology on Netflix

Spencer M. Day

What a great film, and a great reaction. Thanks to you both.
