Scott CineRam

Psycho...oh yeah. VERY excited to see your reaction to that one.

Śéáń

Death of Stalin! Neat.

William Burnham

Yay for The Death of Stalin 😃😃😃😃😃

Deco

Great week thanks

Rokkor X

DEATH OF STALIN! Finally!

Kameron Webb

I’m once again asking for a reaction to Prisoners 👉🥺👈

Mike FromOz

*see's Death of Stalin on the list* (Simone voice) "Oh my God! Oh my God!"

Mike FromOz

Hey, there's carving involved in the movie!

Parabolica

DOS Squad rise up! Our persistent bickering has finally paid off 😂

Balmung

Tron Legacy please. Really want to watch the full version because of the soundtrack

Mike FromOz

This is a good movie to watch. It really had me wanting to just flee during so many scenes. Really affecting film.

Kyle Baker

So are the Star Trek just an hour later every week? (not a complaint just want to know)

Śéáń

Paul Whitehouse and Michael Palin, it's really cool to see two rare-to-see greats return for a project. Very good film, I'll definitely set time aside for a rewatch. The whole cast is excellent tbh, lots of names in there.

Amar

We are living in the 80's next week people. If you are under 30 give this week a miss. Middle Aged people are winning on Patreon!!!

Deco

Definitely need some more Hitchcock if you enjoy psycho

Lorkein

There are good movies in every decade. It's ok to watch old movies when you're young, or new movies when you're older.

Brandi Davis

I cannot wait for Hill House to come to YouTube!

Tsuyama

I can't tell if this is a complain about how movies of insert era or age group is winning, or a declaration of anyone outside of insert age group = bad. I mean either way it's a fucking terrible thing to say.

Tsuyama

They've explained a few times before that tos gets shifted around when there's other priority things. In this case arcane clearly took over it's Wednesday spot. But that's also a limited thing that ends next week.

Jason White

I can’t wait for the reaction to Jason Isaacs as Zhukov!

rictus grin

woo hoo Death of Stalin , and i mean that both literally and figuratively ;)

Mike FromOz

The thumbnail for it is going to be amazing 😅

Sergio Meira

Does anyone know if Zhukov was actually like that in real life? I had the impression he was more circumspect...

mraran

OMG next weekend is gonna be AWESOME

Sergio Meira

I'm really excited to see the Death of Stalin -- a wonderful British-style comedy (often dark, always dry-witted). But... I thought it had lost the poll! How come it showed up? Did G&S override controls, recalibrate the poll and reroute energy from life support to the warp drive, as the Trekkies say?

Josip Buretić

I would love to see them react to Bates Motel it is kind of based on the movie Psycho. And I love performances from Vera and Freddie they really did great job in the show.

Sergio Meira

And also Psycho -- another wonderful movie (good week, this one). People sometimes think that Psycho is all about That Shower Scene, but there is soooo much more in the movie, so much that shows what a genius Hitchcock could be as a director! (You could take the Psycho in the title as a nod to the way Americans took to Freudian notions of psychology and psychotherapy as soon as his works became available in the US.)

cincassette

Great cinema doesn't have an expiration date. I'm 22 and this is the most I've looked forward to a week on this Patreon in months.

Jihad Lee

Ehhh never seen any of these movies but I will watch the Untouchables with you guys.

Max Krause

"Reminder: movies that don't win does not mean they will never be watched, it just means they will be watched later." The poll is about a guaranteed Saturday spot. DoS made second place several times and has had a very vocal community recommending that they watch it, so they gave it a Sunday spot.

Bon Wa

Would love a reaction to War Dogs!

Patrick

Very happy to see Death of Stalin on there.

Tyler Foster

Psycho and Untouchables, nice. If you like Death of Stalin you've got to see Armando Iannucci's previous movie In the Loop. Technically, it's a continuation of spin-off of his TV show "The Thick of It," but you don't need to have seen the show to follow the movie. Both are profane comedies about infighting and personal dramas of the advisors and support staff of British politicians, in a way you'll understand as adjacent to what Stalin is like. The success of "Thick of It" and In the Loop also led him to create what is essentially an American version of "The Thick of It," which was the hugely popular HBO comedy "Veep," and he worked on the unbelievably funny movie version of another popular British TV character, Alan Partridge. Again, the movie, Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa, will be funny even though you don't know the show.

Tyler Foster

Also, still crossing my fingers that the comment support for Stranger Than Fiction lands it a spot on the channel before the year ends.

Opti_Frog

Psycho and Death of Stalin. Plus other good stuff. This will be an excellent week.

FWPJR.

Finally you two are going to react to Psycho, I can’t wait to watch that. And I’m looking forward to the Untouchables reaction, I’m happy I actually have two reactions to watch this week.

Phillyman!!

Hell yea Psycho FINALLY 🔥🔥💯💯

Thomas Larsen

Is there a place we are supposed to leave recommendations? The show Fringe is really awesome and you wouldn't regret checking it out.

Ginger

Psycho, nice!

Jay Davis

NOW we're talkin'! A classic, a classic and a cult classic. Classic!

TomGas2025

Coool...Star Trek on my Birthday! Thanks!!

Sergio Meira

Is that how it works? So if people keep asking for a movie that gets second place in several polls, then it gets a Sunday spot?

Emily G

Maybe you guys could watch The Producers (2005 version) it’s hilarious

China Andronicus

Haunting of Hill House, Psycho, AND the Untouchables all in one week? Am I dreaming?? I’ve wanted Psycho for so long, and the Untouchables is fantastic as well. Also, Mike Flanagan. Enough said.

Roger Davies

Psycho, Untouchables and Star Trek. Hells Yeah

Philipp Roensch

Oh nice, I can rent Psycho for 1€ on Prime today^^, have yet to add it to the collection. Death of Stalin will be a holler.

JBK405

Eyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Glad to see "The Death of Stalin" on the calendar. I honestly think you two will love it, and I always love seeing everybody else get blown away.

Jonny Campbell

Brilliant lineup, cant wait til sunday!

Max Krause

Can't tell you extactly how S&G make their decisions since I'm not them, but there are three movies a week and only one poll winner. So naturally, Thursday and Sunday are for movies that didn't win a poll but that they're still interested in. And a large part of their patreons telling them that they'll love a certain movie will wake their interest in said movie.

Max Krause

I read that Zhukov's family hated how he was portrayed, so I guess he wasn't like that. Still a badass war hero though and he HATED Beria.

Tom Hess

Is Psycho your first Hitchcock? If you like it, maybe you should do a Hitchcock specific poll. My absolute favourite is "To Catch a Thief" (1955). Honorable mentions: - Rear Window - Vertigo - North by Northwest - Dial M for Murder

G P

Excellent lineup, glad to see a return to form

Alex Ch

Not sure how this works with a tv show from the 60s, a tv show from the 2020s, a movie from 1960, and one from the 2010s. You’ve got one movie from the 80s. Also, you can be over 30 and born in 1994 at this point.

MPH

Good shit.

Amar

It's not that deep. Just giving my opinion on the old movies. Don't take it to heart.

Sheens

Hell yeah! Death of Stalin finally made it! Been a while since we had such a solid week

BoredLittleLady

I guess the “older” generation win this week. I’ve never seen any of these movies. It’ll be a first time watch for me as well.

Wormtongue

At last some Hitchcock… first of many I hope 😀

Kyle Baker

Thanks for the reply. I was referring to the time of the day not day of the week. Ultimately it's all fine though.

Paddy Thompson

Fuck this is gunna be a good week! Death of Stalin is one of the funniest dark comedies I’ve seen in a long while!

Garrett Jay Christian

Death of Stalin is pretty recent (2017); it was mostly in the arthouse circuit, but it's got a stacked cast, and it's hilarious.

Adele

So excited for psycho!

Arthur

I can't believe Better Call Saul still isn't back!

Itbewhatitbe

? they said at the end of last season of BCS exactly how long it will take before it comes back. 5 weeks. next week is the 5th week. why is it surprising?

Searlas D

If you're looking for a comedy then 'We're The Millers' and 'Role Models' would be right up your street. I'd love to see a reaction to 'Road Trip' at some point but I'm not sure if it would get many votes.

ExquisiteCapybara

The Untouchables is great, dont think many other movies can touch it.
