Comments

Luca Kelly

fear and loathing would be a great reaction

Dibbles

Matilda, Goated movie

Alan Walker

I think George (especially) will find Falling Down to be absolutely fascinating.

DonkyDave

Event horizon would be godtier

ShōNuff3K

Simone has seen some very unDude movies.

Twiska Brand

Simone has seen Event Horizon? Got to say, I didn't see that coming.

Chris

Oh, this is a hard poll, so many good choices here

Zack Gallardo

I'm surprised George hasn't seen event horizon.

Nick Kessler

Hilarious, true romance is the best film on here and arguably Quinton Tarantino’s best script.

Nabikon

Matilda has always been a guilty pleasure movie for me. Danny DeVito is a national treasure

Endling_king

Would love to see them react to payback (1999)

Chris

Since Event Horizon is only new to George, then i get why Simone is afraid of space. That movie will do that to you 😄

ExquisiteCapybara

making us choose between Event Horizon and Fear and Loathing is just cruel. (yes, i kow we can vote for 2...)

Bonny T

Philadelphia 💖

Michael Gryphon

Hopefully you guys will eventually get around to other 90s movies like Wayne’s world 2, Batman Forever, and mystery men

John Briggs

Wow this is a hell of a list. The 70s and 90s were built different when it comes to movies.

PureGonzo

The fact that Fear and Loathing actually has a shot at winning has restored my faith in humanity 😅

Mike FromOz

Fear and Loathing is my vote, based on just how damn bonkers it is, and how interesting the reaction to it will be.

DaniDaniDaniDani

Falling down!!! Yeah!!!! But I feel we need 109% more Tango & Cash in our lives ;) (Although is that 80s?)

Garrett Mazzuca

Matilda is such a good family film. Pulling for that one.

DaniDaniDaniDani

Fascinating definitely the word. I think he’d enjoy analysing it :)

Mike FromOz

Mystery Men was way before it's time. It came out before we were inundated by comic book movies, and is a great critique of them. It wasn't appreciated enough back then, but I still love it!

Horrible

I can vote for multiple movies!!? Why was I not told?!

Michael

Fear and loathing is amazing. Terry Gilliam really made a masterpiece

Daniel Smith

Wow! That’s a diverse list! I think I want Matilda to win as neither has seen it but also rooting for True Romance as George has to see that one.

Liam Nissan

Hoping for Falling Down and Fear and Loathing.. But there's some real bangers on here..

Amar

Philadelphia is a great movie with unreal acting. I know it won't win now lol

JOEDATOR

Another vote for Fear & Loathing!

Adam S

Matilda. And Mrs Doubtfire dear ☺️ Robin Williams 😌

beefjerkywizard

Hoping for a Matilda or Philadelphia win🙌

Senjak

Can I vote for Event Horizon twice?

My name is Jere

Oh My... Have any polls ever Be this tight? True nailbitter

Da Big Appa

All great movies to choose from. I personally feel Philadelphia is a mile stone movie everyone should see since it shows a good slice in time of how the US was at that time and what a lot of people are still fighting against today.

Raymond DeGraw

Very nice poll... Looking forward to seeing your reactions for these in the future... 1. The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) 2. R.E.D. 3. Get Shorty 4. Airheads 5. Secondhand Lions

Jobbe Smit

Ooh Falling Down would be great. Holds up really well.

PsychoWill

If they go for Fear and loathing, some gummies might be needed ^^

Patrick

Fear and Loathing would be great. I don't think i've seen it in about 20 years.

Daniel Smith

Did not expect this poll to be so even and with True Romance in last place.

Bruce Liddle

I'm assuming most haven't seen True Romance or they'd have voted for it.

Ethan Holgate

Matilda and falling down both excellent movie's

Zephyr (AD)

I feel like Event Horizon would be right in George's wheelhouse and would make for a great reaction, but a lot of great choices on this list!

Zephyr (AD)

Mystery Men! Great movie, holds up really well I feel.

Kevin Ehle

Waiting for 90s classics like Academy Award best picture 'American Beauty' to pop up in these polls.

BangDroid

Agh this is so tough! I promised myself to only vote for one, overwise I tend to vote for most or all. It's gotta be Mrs. Doubtfire, it has such a special place in my heart, not only for Robin Williams but a relatable story. Sorry spoiler edited out.

BoredLittleLady

Mrs. Doubtfire and Matilda are childhood favorites.

Mike FromOz

Ooh, this poll is going to be a real squeaker! Will be interested to see which one wins out.

Amar

Why is a 35% on rotten winning this poll? Event Horizon is such a random film to be top of this incredible poll. Feels like someone is playing a prank on us all!

King_Panarisi

Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

jmundt33a

Matilda is the best of Roald Dahl. I hope you’ve read the book. The film is good and holds up. I like the body of the book better, but the film ending is better. Skip the Netflix musical adaptation. Cinecringe writ large.

Billy T.

Should have watched fear and loathing before rango lol 😆

JayF

I'm surprised Simone has seen True Romance. Must have been the title? hehe

jmundt33a

I can’t tell if that’s earnest or facetious.

Jeromy M

So many good choices. Sheeesh

Dane Winton

Event Horizon is great, I also like Fear and Loathing too! But really I’d be happy with any of these, it’s a really strong list 🥰

myinniemademedoit

Gotta go Falling Down. We can all relate to that one!

jmundt33a

Philadelphia is a classic.

Paul Gorbachev

I wonder if will they recognize the cameo in rango if they watch fear and loathing))

Eisengratz

I highly recommend Falling Down.

Galactic Cannibl

Such a close race so far. Event Horizon would probably win if new to both

Jay Davis

Gotta go with Falling Down here. What? Oh... I'm the bad guy?

mcfierce24

How does True Romance have the least amount of votes? Is it because Simone already saw it?

CorpusD

Philadelphia is both a classic and not about the revolutionary war in any way.

Jobbe Smit

We shouldn't but we do

Mike FromOz

I think this is the better order. They have no ideas what's coming 😅

Tim T—

Brazil (1985) also is ... oh, uhm. Let me try: Isn’t it weird that we call centuries by their following cardinal number (The years 19xx are in the 20th century) but do it differently for decades (the years 199x are the 90s). If we are handling decades like centuries, then Brazil (1985) also is a 90s movie!

Julian G

Mrs. Doubtfire, Robin Williams. Enough said

Itbewhatitbe

theres literally an intro video explaining it. its like the first thing you see when joining. it just tells you to write them in the comments of the weekly polls.

Itbewhatitbe

didnt they correctly guessed the scene while watching Rango already?

Itbewhatitbe

how would they know? ppl on here voted for Rango.

Arthur

It's a dead heat across the board, lol.

Mike FromOz

In the trivia section George read out that it was a homage to Fear and Loathing, and a bunch of people suggested it as a movie they should watch.

cincassette

I love this decade of film. Any of these would be great :) some more of my 90s favourites are - 10 Things I Hate About You - The Talented Mr Ripley - The Ice Storm - Election - Mermaids

Arcade Sufi

Wow everything is winning. There all great films though...

BubblyRainbows

I've never seen a poll on here that was this close across the board. It's nice! That being said, while I've seen all of these movies multiple times, we only actually OWN one of them that I could watch along with. So... Mrs. Doubtfire it is.

pinkdino99

Don't care if everyone has watched it 100 times... True Romance is so rewatchable

Guy-on-Couch

Oh baby come on Fear and Loathing!!!!!

PureGonzo

Or better yet, some psilocybin 😉

Vwlss Nvwls

All of these are great and fun movies. True Romance is a personal favorite, because I have always been a Christian Slater fan ever since the 80s. Michael Douglas once said that Falling Down was his favorite movie that he did. Yep, all good choices, I hope to watch them all along with you two (or three if Simones cat makes any cameos)

Mayan Luevano

My vote is for Falling Down, a movie even more relevant today than in the 90s

MrFrench

Movie’s for the future - Casino, Rounders Shows - The West Wing

myinniemademedoit

Yeah, but I see tons of suggestions that never make the polls. That being said, a list of what they’ve seen would be nice, so I stop suggesting stuff they’ve seen lol

JoeE

Love election and ripley

יוסי פורקוש

Oatreon host many reactors I wish they created some kind of app that picks up suggestions and arrange them

Peter H

Man I was really hoping to see Sneakers in this poll.

Itbewhatitbe

they have a letterbox account that lists everything done on the channel. https://letterboxd.com/CineBinge/ if youre asking about listing everything theyve ever watch in their entire lives though, that would be an insane thing to do. try listing out everything youve ever watched. no one can do that.

Rob Church

Fear and Loathing, especially after Rango.

Kyle King

Falling Down! Nobody reacts and its such an interesting film

ChiefKC

I second The West Wing!

Derek McCasky

Matilda and True Romance are the only two that hold up

Morningstar

Please watch The Great Gatsby from Baz Luhrmann.💞

Martin

If Fear and Loathing wins, it will be my first time watching the movie when I wasn’t in an altered state of consciousness.

Alex Ch

Wait, you don’t have everything you’ve ever watched marked as watched on your Letterboxd channel? I assumed everyone did that when they first start using Letterboxd. I’ve only seen 4,929 according to the app though.

G P

I'm shocked that you guys haven't seen Fear and Loathing - was sure you had called out references to it (although its imagery was quite prolific for a while).

Dan Holmes

Damn this is a close one lol

Dan Holmes

I love how right now Event Horizon and Matilda are tied 😂

LK

I would like to see more quirky indie films like The Station Agent (2003) or Local Hero (1983). A less formulaic and more relevant movie than Philadelphia is Dallas Buyers Club (2013).

Rhiannon

The Station Agent is excellent!!

Rhiannon

EXCELLENT movie

FWPJR.

I love that Miss Doubtfire is winning right now, I watched that movie over and over again as a kid. I even went to the movies to see it when it came out, so it’ll be a bit nostalgic to see you two react to it if it wins or whenever you react to it if it doesn’t end up winning.

FWPJR.

Yes to Casino

Rhiannon

OMG Airheads, yes

FWPJR.

I love Batman Forever, I need them to react to it sooner or later

FromDarknessComesLight

I love Matilda! It's one of those movies that you absolutely adore, especially if you grew up in a less than perfect household. Also, watching the behind the scenes footage as a kid was the very first time I realized how much of a gem Danny Devito is, both as a person and as an actor. (Actually, if you do watch Matilda, reacting to the behind the scenes Q&A might be a fun bonus as a youtube short or something.)

Rhiannon

That's a great one

Rhiannon

yes to all of these

myinniemademedoit

I was thinking more along the lines of “here’s a list of popular suggestions we’ve already seen” I don’t expect a comprehensive list of everything, but if they’ve watched something that people are suggesting a lot, then maybe let your Patreons know? Just a thought

Ste Rawlings

The Station Agent is phenomenal.

Happy Hanukkah

I was tempted to say "woo-hoo!" when I saw it on the poll, but that's not quite in the spirit of the movie. :-) There have been several reactions to it. Shout-out to one of the smaller channels that reacted to it, the under-appreciated "Shandor at the Cinema."

nossieboy

True Romance and Fear and Loathing for me. Vegas is such an impressive acid flick.

Happy Hanukkah

I'm not sure if I should be happy about the high quality of this poll, or sad that so many good movies will lose. :-)

Tom Hess

Voted Mrs Doubtfire because I find it criminal that so few channels have reacted to it. But Event Horizon is f-word awesome.

Sergio Meira

I never pick a winner!... I'm still hoping for Falling Down, who knows, but it looks like it's not going to win. Anyway, all the other movies are worth the watch, so this is quite a pleasant poll.

Zinphad

Would like to throw out the movie The Green Knight (2021) for a Christmas poll.

Michael Johnson

True Romance has such a great cast, love that one

Michael

This is the reason for me. All 3 of the movies Simone already watched would be my picks, but I don't enjoy and never vote for any reaction on any channel where 50% or more of the reactors have already seen it...

Alex Ch

The Station Agent is pretty good!

Simone's Coconut Squire

For more excellent 90s movies please see: Ed Wood Mystery Men Dark City (Directors Cut) The Long Kiss Goodnight (Sam Jackson’s favorite role)

Vincent

Event Horizon Falling Down

Wrencher86

Guys... Please... I'm begging. I need George to see Event Horizon and I need to know how TF Simone has already seen it.

sarCC

Get Shorty and Grosse Pointe Blank are likely new to both! (And are both better and more entertaining than everything in this poll!)

RichieRich

My quest for Toy Story continues...humbly of course.

Zinphad

Ah yes, I forgot about that. Thanks.

Matthew Johnson

How is Philadelphia near the bottom? People have this mistaken memory of that as some Oscar bait weepie but it’s a really dynamic film, the sort that Hollywood unfortunately refuses to make anymore. I think it would be perfect for the channel.

Robinson vs. Parkinson's

Whaaaaat? True Romance is last? Cast: Everyone, Director: Tony Scott, Score: Hans Zimmer!!!, Screenwriter: Tarantino!!!, not to mention one of the best dialogue scenes you could ever want to see between Christopher Walken and Dennis Hopper. IMHO, this film is worth an executive decision if it's going to finish last. It's far too good for that.

Jonas

I agree. They need more Denzel on the channel anyway. The last one might have been The Equalizer from 2 years ago.

Sheens

You can still alter your consciousness before watching it this time too 😉

Tim Hibbard

This is another great lineup! The only one I probably won’t watch is Philadelphia. It’s a great film that I am glad to have seen, but like Schindler’s List it is one I don’t really enjoy rewatching on a semi regular basis like so many other movies.

Rokkor X

How do you fall asleep watching that. It keeps me awake.

Rokkor X

Robert Duval and Michael Douglas are so good in that movie.

Maiki

More Denzel: Crimson Tide (1995) Inside Man (2006) Deja Vu (2006) Flight (2012)

Matthew Johnson

Shocking they haven’t done Inside Man. They would LOVE it

Matthew Johnson

Yes more Denzel, especially since he is now talking about retiring from acting. What an era.

Matthew Johnson

This list is all bangers, no skips, certified gold, tops the charts each Christmas GOOD.

Chris

George for sure needs to watch Event Horizon. Gary Oldman is the best part in True Romance 🔥

Martin

Malcom X The Hurricane

G P

Hoping True Romance or Falling Down makes its way into the runner-up position.

G P

Ed Wood! Very underrated these days, one of his best films.

Noel Valdez

Malcom X would be amazing!

Noel Valdez

A24 suck ass for that. Lol

Noel Valdez

I assume most people here are older because almost every poll consists of movies that I never heard of. Lol 😂 getting my boomer and millennial movie education from this channel cause most of the movies I know are from the 2000s forward.

jmundt33a

First half is right. Second half is manifestly not.

Thirty Year Old Mulberry Field

Like with last week’s poll, I’m very happy about the quality of the list. Can we expect a 00s list for next week? I’d like to suggest: “Million Dollar Baby”, “Mulholland Drive”, “The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou”, “Punch Drunk Love” & “Slumdog Millionaire”.

Morningstar

Please watch 12 Years A Slave. Hard watch, great actors important message.

Shawnie

* NOT A SPOILER* Watching Fear and Loathing knowing Its based on a real person (Hunter S. Thompson) and it's not exaggerated could make it more wild to see. Johnny was friends with the real man and its very accurate to how he talks and acts.

Tyler Foster

I know Fear and Loathing is much more popular, but if I were choosing a Terry Gilliam movie, it would definitely be Brazil, an incredible, nightmarish vision of bureaucracy choking humanity.

Twisty Twitties

Was surprised its Simone that had seen it already and not George

Martin

Recommendations: Magnolia Cinderella Man Lucky Number Slevin Primal Fear

TheGrimOne

I think Falling Down and Event Horizon would be the best reactions.

Kelly Pickard

Bernie Sanders voice: "I am once again pitching 1991's Hook for future consideration."

Kelly Pickard

I hope George and Simone haven't clarified at some point that they've already seen Hook, and I just totally missed it. XD

Trevor S Bright

I'm pretty sure Simone has since she's familiar with Peter Pan & actually quoted Hook in one of the earlier reactions.

Wrencher86

I'm going to second (third?) the recommendation for Inside Man. Crimson Tide is also a very entertaining movie while being laughably, ridiculously inaccurate in its depiction of... well actually nearly everything in the movie. Still good, though.

Wrencher86

I am kinda shocked we haven't at least seen Grosse Pointe Blank on a poll yet. When they did Con Air way back when they asked for John Cusack recommendations and pretty much everyone shouted "Grosse Pointe Blank" in unison. Or High Fidelity, which is also great.

Wrencher86

Another great 90's movie that I've been far too lax on recommending lately? That's right, it's Ravenous (1999) starring Guy Pearce and Robert Carlyle.

Wrencher86

Million Dollar Baby +1

cincassette

These are excellent choices! "The Life Aquatic" is one of my all time favourites, and it's time we get some more Wes Anderson on the channel... For 00's I'd also put forward "Uptown Girls", "One Hour Photo" and "Atonement"

Mike Miner

The 90s was a great decade for film! I find it a little weird that we're already struggling to find films which neither G/S have seen: Here are some recommendations of awesomeness: Glengarry Glen Ross The Hudsucker Proxy (Coen Brothers) Go Election Swingers (the Favreau guy before he did Marvel movies!) Buffalo '66 Rushmore (early Wes Anderson!) Being John Malkovich magnolia (what Paul Thomas Anderson has called the best film he'll ever make)

Steven Cavanagh

Event Horizon is an unofficial Warhammer 40,000 (According to fans anyway)

Maiki

+1 Glengarry Glen Ross. For a masterclass in acting. That cast is just insane.

John

90's Denzel movies that could all be great watches: Mo Better Blues(Denzel and Spike Lee), Malcolm X, Pelican Brief(Denzel and Julia Roberts), Philadelphia (Denzel and Tom Hanks), Crimson Tide (Denzel and Gene Hackman), Courage under Fire, Fallen, He got Game, The Siege

Jacob King

If we’re recommending Gilliam then 12 Monkeys needs to be in the mix.

Tenn Seven

True Romance every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Tenn Seven

I agree. "Get Shorty" kind of sucks, and "Grosse Pointe Blank" is good, but not nearly as good as even the worst movie on this list.

Echo

My choice on these is yes. Yes to all. Top 3: Matilda, Event Horizon (I saw it in theaters- terrifying), and Falling Down. The problem with that last one is that too many people irl identify with the villain (IMO). Fear and Loathing is a good baseline movie to have. I don't like it, personally, but I know a lot of people do and it's often referenced. Mrs. Doutbfire is, IMO, a problematic movie that gets played off as comedy because of Robin Williams and Sally Field- but thankfully they fought for a different ending and being big enough stars it worked, which was more realistic than what the movie makers wanted to do.

Jacob King

It’s not top of my list from this poll but you’re correct, it’s a Jonathan Demme courtroom drama starring Denzel. It’s proper big screen entertainment.

Garrett Jay Christian

Plus one for Life Aquatic, and Million Dollar Baby has definitely been on past polls.

pedantech

I'd love to see Devil's Advocate, The Insider, The Birdcage, Meet Joe Black, Grumpy Old Men, Scent of a Woman, 12 Monkeys, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Field of Dreams, As Good as It Gets

Jeb Manning

Is Patreon having a bug? I was wanting to remove a vote but it's not going.

LeperMessiah117

I'll scream if Fear and Loathing doesn't win. Don't have me make my family worry, you guys.

Zinphad

Awakenings would be awesome. Don't know why Mrs. Doubtfire is so popular but Awakenings is relatively forgotten.

Zinphad

Yes, Glengarry Glen Ross (though it would be a hard edit). Would also love to finally see a reaction to Go.

CommanderBrownCoat

Yeeeeah I think y'all need to do ALL of them, just use the poll for the order lol

Justtired

I agree. What’s Eating Gilbert Grape might not do well from a numbers standpoint, but I’d love to see the reaction. Some additions: Mystery, Alaska The Pelican Brief Rounders (just for their reaction to Malkovich) I’d been interested to see George’s reaction to JFK Being John Malkovich

SuicuneSol

Ooh, I'd love to see a Falling Down reaction just because you're going to have a lot to say about it.

Sarahnade

Glad to see Matilda on the list! Hope yall get to it, I think you’ll love it.

Lachlan Caldwell

With Christmas just around the corner I would like to nominate for a future poll Home Alone 2 How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) staring Jim Carrey.

ExtraBigAssTaco

A lot of good suggestions. As Good As It Gets is particularly great, and memorable, both in content and performances by everyone.

ExtraBigAssTaco

Fear and Loathing has some difficult elements, depending on the scene or context, but it's a great candidate for a reaction. Mrs. Doubtfire is classic, but I can see an argument for some of it being problematic, in hindsight, especially as you mentioned what the filmmakers originally wanted. I think, in the broad strokes, the messages are overall pretty decent. It's 90's Hollywood, so of course the realism requires it be taken with a grain of salt or two.

ExtraBigAssTaco

Hell yeah, Willow. The plot has some holes, but it's definitely a 90s iconic movie, entertaining, and would make for good reactions. I'll second Patriot Games and add Clear and Present Danger, also agree with Get Shorty. Darkman had interesting effects for the time, and was pretty good for a time before comic-based movies really took off.

ExtraBigAssTaco

I still think back and laugh at the time Hunter S Thompson was on Conan, and claimed to have hand made the shoes he was wearing... to which Conan incredulously responds "What are you talking about? They have the Nike 'swoosh' right on the side!"

CD

Is Simone sure, she’s not confusing True Romance…with one of her RomComs 🤣

Noel Valdez

Been trying to educate myself but so many good recent movies out too. Lol I'd love for George and Simone to get into more early 2000s and 2010s movies. Lots of cool indie movies and good movies that came out then. Thats when i became a big fan of movies. But in the meantime I like seeing all the stuff they react to cause its my first time seeing a-lot of these films.

Noel Valdez

Ngl I can't into that movie. I just find it weird and gross but much love to you if you like it. I just don't find the appeal.

BoredLittleLady

This is my opportunity to recommend “Little Women” (1994). Winona Ryder, Christian Bale, Susan Sarandon. It’s a Christmas staple in my house.

Phillyman!!

I knew Matida wasn’t winning this but glad to see lots of votes for it 👍👍💯💯

nossieboy

You need to make changes in the app often.

TYLER NORWOOD

Ohhhhh, so many good choices. My overall pick would be True Romance, directed by Tony Scott and screenplay by Tarantino as his romcom attempt that he sold to fund his debut film 'Reservoir Dogs.'

Random Nevermind

Please consider movies below for the next 90s poll: 12 Monkeys (1995) Sleepy Hollow (1999)

Sergio Meira

Oh... can I suggest again Pig (with Nicholas Cage) and Seeking a Friend for the End of the World?...

Rachel W

Missing is the most 90's movie ever, "Natural Born Killers"(1994), written by Tarantino and starring a terrifying Woody Harrelson, Robert Downey Jr. and Juliette Lewis. Another great forgotten 90s gem is Kathryn Bigelow's, "Strange Days"(1995), with Ralph Fiennes and Angela Bassett

Rachel W

And it's the definitive version of Little Women. I recently saw it again and it's so so good. Just perfection--cinematography, performances, score.

Daniel

I agree with Natural Born Killers. Oliver Stone needs some love! Also don't forget Tommy Lee Jones, he is hilarious in the movie.

JOEDATOR

I’m sure it’s been said, but you must watch Fear & Loathing because you’ve just seen the two characters from it in Rango.

JoeE

Other recommendations 12 monkeys, bowfinger, kingpin, field of dreams

Alex Ch

I love Magnolia so much, and Primal Fear is a very good reaction movie.

elias rinis

YESSS Thank you George and Simone for listening to the recommendations in such consistent way. I never thought that I would see someone react to fear and Loathing but here you are! One of my absolute favourites!

JuliusKuegel

Fear & Loathing needs to win

Tales From The Underside .com

The best thing I remember about Philadelphia is the SNL action figure skit, which cant be found presently, “Philadelphia!” Take your “medicine” for Fear and Loathing Falling Down

Brandon Meng

Really solid list of movies. Philadelphia is the best of the bunch but Mrs. Doubtfire will always be near and dear to my heart. At the same time I know Falling Down and Fear and Loathing will make for great reactions and Event Horizon ... well, I saw it far too young and it scared the *expletive* out of me. Never revisited it. Still, I would recommend the following 90s films over everything in this poll (except for maybe Philadelphia in some cases): Rushmore (1999) Election (1999) Unforgiven (1992) Scent of a Woman (1992) Home Alone 2 (1992... wild you haven't reacted to it yet, arguably better than the first) Cruel Intentions (1999) Eyes Wide Shut (1999) The Edge (1997) Dances with Wolves (1990) Sleepless in Seattle (1993) The Wedding Singer (1998) Can't Hardly Wait (1998) Also beyond 90s, please consider: Love Actually (for Christmas!) Manchester by the Sea Perks of Being a Wallflower About Time Forgetting Sarah Marshall Cheers!

Chappie_nottherobot

True Romance is the best film out of all of these picks and I’m depressed that it’s in last place.😭

Vincent

What About Bob? Absolute Power Enemy Of The State Glengarry Glen Ross A Perfect World Cape Fear Nick Of Time Albino Alligator The Jackal City Of Industry

Adam Vialpando

Fear & Loathing is such a trip (literally) and it pains me so few people have seen it

Martin

If Simone and George thought Raising Arizona was a bizarre movie, wait until they see Fear and Loathing.

Lana Gorgeous

For the movie Philadelphia, for which Tom Hanks won the Oscar award, his first win and Denzel Washington was sensational, brings plenty of tissues to dry your tears. What a great and touching movie.

PureGonzo

Right?? I love how they actually read and consider all the comments. Regardless of whether or not F&L wins, George and Simone are the GOATs of reactors simply for putting it in a poll 🤩

Sergio Meira

Haven't they already watched Sleepless in Seattle?

Griffin Ardill

Matilda should definitely get another look

Stephen

May I suggest National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation for December :) I know you guys saw the first one I know you'll love it

Brandon Meng

Unsure. Nothing comes up when I search for it.

MarsOneUp

Anyone else wanna see these two stoned while watching Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas? 😂

PureGonzo

Only if it’s Sativa haha.

FischerMax98

Really thought True Romance would do better than it is. Up against good competition though.

Tyler Foster

Kind of strange to me how slowly the reactor-verse has moved on any Wes Anderson film other than Grand Budapest. Everyone seems to do that one, love it, and then...nothing! I'd love to see Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic, The Darjeeling Limited, and Fantastic Mr. Fox, and I know many others would love to see Moonrise Kingdom as well.

Wrencher86

I wouldn't say "masterpieces" but they are incredibly fun and over-the-top camp in completely different ways.

Martin

No. It’s not conducive to a good reaction video. They did it once for Pineapple Express and there were too many moments during the video when they were silent. We need George and Simone lucid and talkative during these reactions. Just my opinion. I could be wrong.

Another suggestion: PLEASE consider “The Assassination of Jesse James By the Coward Robert Ford.” Low key one of the best movies ever put to film.

PureGonzo

@Martin – I agree, hence my half-joking suggestion about it being Sativa this time haha. But yeah I think a sober reaction would be better.

I recommend: yesterday, the substance and maby a documentary like the decline of western civilization part 2

TwoBitWriter

I think Simone and George would really enjoy "The Last Unicorn". The older I get the more meaningful and devastating it becomes.

This has one of the closest across the board polls I have ever seen here. I am glad Fear and Loathing won, but if any of the others also come up, I won't be disappointed with them!

Michael Gryphon

I'm always in favorite of a Robin Williams movie!

Theadora

I think it's easier to go into F&L knowing what to expect, but yeah.

Theadora

Well, as G&S always say, eventually they'll get to everything.

wertnez

I'd like to suggest reacting to The Substance. New movie from 2024 - absolute batshit insanity.

Fear and Loathing, love it, can't wait. Little bummed Falling Down lost to Mrs. Doubtfire, love Robin Williams in anything but a few of his movies I would list before this one, just a personal preference, Mrs. Doubtfire is great. But for me, it's movies like one of his first, a truly odd movie, The World According To Garp, with Glenn Close and John Lithgow in a role that won him a lot of praise; or another of his underrated 80s gems like The Best of Times with Kurt Russell; or Club Paradise (11% on Rotten Tomatoes, but I liked it lol) with a few of the brilliant Canadian comic actors of SCTV, Eugene Levy, Rick Moranis, Andrea Martin, and Joe Flaherty. Oh shit, I forgot about The Fisher King, also another must see (someday).

If you want some Mel Gibson movies to watch Ransom is a really good movie, Air America has him and a 20 year old Robert Downing Jr. as the leads, Maverick is very fun, and I remember liking Forever Young which is kinda similar to Somewhere in Time at least emotionally/tonally. All of those are from the 90's as well.
