I joined your Patreon specifically to begin spamming you with requests for you to watch “landman”. Season 1 is not even done airing yet but fantastic show. It’s got Billy bob thorton, John hamm, Demi Moore and some other big names I’m not too familiar with. I work in the industry and it’s a spot on representation. Y’all will like it!

How early is too early? Before Halloween. Christmas music starts as soon as Halloween is over here in the US I am sick of every Christmas song LOL

Did you guys recognize one of the grandparents as the juror who never sweats in 12 Angry Men?

Wrencher86

I said it during the poll and I'll say it again here: It's good that you guys are watching this. But The Muppet Christmas Carol will positively affect your life on a spiritual level. And that's coming from an atheist. It's that heartwarming and joyous.

Stugotz

This movie is hliarious. Had me shittin' bricks

Stugotz

It came in 2nd in the poll so I hope they end up watching it

I have to say, I always find these kind of comments a bit funny. Like no, they probably wouldn't recognize a particular actor from another movie they saw months ago that came out when the actor was much younger/older.

We had a cousin Eddie moment in my family. My father’s cousin Dennis just showed up at our house one day. My father and the rest of his family hadn’t heard from him in years and we didn’t know he was coming. He came in saying he missed us (I couldn’t remember ever meeting him) and that he was in the area for work and thought he would pop in. My bewildered parents put him up for the night. Dennis was a sort of boorish guy, not on Eddie level but he gave off a gross vibe to me. We had a very odd dinner in which he told largely inappropriate stories (I was 14, my sister 12 and my brother 10) about aggressive women who’d seduced him around the world. After dinner Dennis said he had gifts for us; I’d need to ask my siblings what he got them, but when he got to me he said “I heard you really like movies! Me too. So I brought you the best movie, my favorite movie of all time. You’re gonna love it, dude, it’s gonna blow you away!” And out of his bag he pulls a VHS copy of John McTiernan’s MEDICINE MAN. (Spoiler alert: NOT a good movie in the slightest.) He left the next morning and we never heard from him again.

Commercials start before Thanksgiving even gets here is what I meant

Michael Eubanks

Both answers are true. Stores start after Halloween.... normal people start after Thanksgiving (in the US).

Jason Dreibeblis

I can’t lie, i literally start listening to Christmas music Nov 1st

Jeff K.

My wife and I use it all the damn time, to the point where I occasionally forget it's from a movie because it's so frequent in our house.

Jeff K.

The grocery store nearest my house, literally the day after Halloween, was already tearing that stuff down and putting Christmas stuff on the shelves and starting to play Christmas music. I swear it gets earlier and earlier every year...

Galactic Cannibl

Same here in Missouri. So commercialized. Like they are watching the clock to put up Christmas purchases

Rob Church

"Why is the carpet all wet, Todd?" "I don't know, Margot!"

Calvin Slocum

My family still says that anytime someone spills something

Sumner Hayes

Minor odd trivium: Mary, the attractive clerk Clark is ogling, is played by actress Nicolette Scorsese. The last name is familiar to anyone into movies, but it's a complete coincidence: she's unrelated to Martin Scorsese.

Morningstar

Please if you can watch European and Vegas vacation.🎉

Im just weird and listen to Christmas music all year around as it helps me relax at my third shift job. But also the beautiful thing about Pandora is when a song such as last Christmas comes on it gets down voted lol

Tom Ekstrand

I got my sister and her husband ugly Christmas sweaters for Christmas this year. Her's says "Why is the carpet all wet, Todd?" and his says "I don't know, Margot."

Happy Hanukkah

0:15 Well hello there, Sir Sean Connery.

Happy Hanukkah

Medicine Man is forgettable at best. The only reason I watched it till the end was the be-ponytailed Sean Connery. It's one of McTiernan's* few misses. Speaking of McTiernan, I am absolutely flabbergasted that Simone and George have not yet reacted to The 13th Warrior (1999)! Dumbfounded! Stupefied! * https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001532/

Simon Pegged Me

I had a coworker who hated "Holly Jolly Christmas," not because it was a terrible song, but because it was an irremovable earworm that would plague him for hours after hearing it. I thought it was funny at first and then I realized he wasn't exaggerating. He literally couldn't get the song out of his head. Every moment after hearing it, it would be playing in his head. For hours. Before meeting him, I equated an earworm with a catchy tune. Now, I equate it to the tortured look he carried on his face when he was struggling through a "Holly Jolly Christmas" loop.

Simon Pegged Me

Also, this movie made me think of a few recommendations for future reaction videos. The road games with the truck filled with assholes at the beginning of the movie reminded me of "Nocturnal Animals (2016)," which I think you'll get a kick out of watching. Young Juliette Lewis made me think of 1991's "Cape Fear" remake. She's excellent in it. Julia Louis-Dreyfus's likable unlikable character makes me recommend "Veep (2012-2019)" as a future television pick. It had a long run, but the episodes are only an half-hour long. And finally, the long table in his boss's office reminded me of the Coen brothers' "Hudsucker Proxy (1994)."

JoeE

Really dislike the Christmas shoes song. I also find the illogic in the intro to Rudolph annoying

Jeb Manning

Since you mentioned Betty Boop, I had an idea. What about reactions to classic cartoons like Betty Boop, Mickey Mouse, Popeye, and Tex Avery MGM Cartoons every once in a long while?

Corabal

I always think of him as the President in Superman II but I've seen 12 Angry Men, I also saw him appear in Creepshow

Guys how do you not know National Lampoon? They pretty much are all Canadians. Two guys at Harvard started a magazine kind of making fun of or like a spin off of the Harvard Lampoon. The original National Lampoon ecosystem spanning the magazine, stage shows, radio, and movies—relied heavily on the legendary comedy scene coming out of Toronto's SCTV and Second City, alongside American talent from SNL, like Chevy Chase and Bill Murray. But yeah John Candy, Eugene Levy, Harold Ramis, The mom from Home Alone and a lot of others started on Second City in Toronto. Which I think was called that because it was like a smaller version of Chicago. Where most of the other writers or directors where from like John Hughes.
