for Chinese new years we got a kung fu movie that George has seen but not Simone, and for Valentines we get a rom-com that Simone has seen but not George!

A comeback for Bullock, a breakthrough for Reynolds, and a reminder about Betty White. Why this needed to be a comeback mystifies me. Have they reacted to Valentine’s Day yet? It’s the only one of the holiday movies that was any good.

Not only is Craig T. Nelson the coach from Blades of Glory, but he had a long running sitcom called Coach… in which he was, well, a coach. He’s also the voice of Mr. Incredible.

Also last one: I had not watched this in a while and completely forgot just how similar the story is to While You Were Sleeping. Obviously a much sweeter character that Sandy played in that one, but otherwise, a lot of similarities.

based on a "friend's" experience with this sort of thing, they do not show up randomly to verify that you are really married to someone. the interviewer was also pretty laid back but that's obviously not going to be the case for every one.

Unrelated to this, but: WB has been casually putting movies on YouTube, and Waiting for Guffman is among those films. Could not recommend it more highly, and it's now available for free, to everyone.

There are so many better Rom Coms. I know how much Simone loves them so here are a few she's prob never seen, "The Goodbye Girl"(1977)-won Dreyfuss the best actor AA, great writing by Neil Simon. "Crossing Delancey"(1988), "Moonstruck"(1987).

in the post movie discussion, when talking about how Ryan and Sandra had been friends for years before doing this rom com together, George ponders if having such a friendship would make the intimate scenes more awkward. I couldn't help but imagine (no, not imagining like that... ) if Simone and George had to perform such a scene. Given that it is my impression that they have been friends for many years, but never romantic (not that they have any obligation to share details about their personal lives, past or present). And then I see the thumbnail on here.... hahaha.
