Jeff K.

I don't know that Big necessarily qualifies as drama, but if neither of you guys have seen it, it's an absolute must.

Stugotz

I love Big but I don't think I'd categorize it as drama. It's a great movie either way.

Rasmus Kristensen

Overlooked bangers to consider: Wag the Dog, Out of Sight, The Doors, Toy Soldiers.

Śéáń

I'd love for Deep Impact to win, saw it for the first time in years recently, it's a great watch. It was a competing film with Armageddon on release, one of those 'twin film' cases

Jeff K.

I. Fucking. LOVE Toy Soldiers. It's such a great guilty pleasure movie.

Stugotz

Yeah same in 1997 with Dante's Peak and Volcano

Ian Hunt

Continuing my backing of Patriot Games (which is pretty good) cos then you can do Clear and Present Danger (which is awesome)

Jeff K.

Yeah, it's got some dramatic moments but it's primarily a comedy. But hey, it's also the movie that made Tom Hanks a full-fledged movie star and got him his first Oscar nomination, so it's absolutely in the must-watch category regardless.

DemNikoArt

This list is wild :D When it comes to drama(-ish) films, I can highly recommend these here: - Lucky number Slevin (gangster film with a stellar cast incl. Josh Hartnett, Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Lucy Liu etc.) - The Gift (Drama/Mystery with Jason Bateman, Joel Edgerton & Rebecca Hall) - The Machinist (psychological thriller with a super thin Christian Bale. That kind of "what is real and what is not" movie 😉 - One hour photo (psychological thriller about a photo store clerk. With a frightening and magnificent Robin Williams in one of his best roles. - 127 hours (Danny Boyle film about a rock climber who gets stuck with his hand :D With James Franco)

m0lika1 .

Big is great up until a certain scene (if you know you know) so i kind of don't want it to win

Stugotz

oh yeah, I hope it wins because I've been wanting them to watch it for a while.

Cinebinge

Ya I think I meant to put Big Fish. But since it's already getting votes I can't undo it and discard the votes.

Cinebinge

Ya I think I meant to put Big Fish. But since it's already getting votes I can't undo it and discard the votes.

Korpse

13 hours is incredible 🥹🇺🇸

Alina

I highly recommend Society of the Snow (2023) and The Impossible (2012), both wonderful movies based on true stories.

Shehab Dawoud

Just becomes a movie has elements of a certain genre, doesn’t mean that it fully categorizes in that genre. Think you should be more meticulous in the polls.

Jeff K.

Big Fish is great, too. I don't particularly like Tim Burton movies, but that one is a film of his I couldn't recommend more highly.

Chris DeLuca

Too bad Reign Over Me is doing so poorly. It's a fantastic movie; probably Adam Sandler's best acting ever.

Duncan

''Drama'' is literally in the description under the movie on IMDb,so it certainly qualifies and it will easily win this poll,so everyone is a winner

Hombredave

These are all great choices. Patriot games is a solid thriller. Deep Impact and Dante’s Peak are well grounded disaster flicks. But I’m gonna have to go with Big.

Chris DeLuca

Big Fish has some good moments but overall it's kind of a slog to get through.

Itbewhatitbe

or you know, you can chill the fuck out and remember they havent seen these movies and dont know what genre they may or may not be, they can only go by what IMDB says. its also polls for movies, not elections. its not that serious.

Amar

Of course the 80's films are winning!! Damn it man lol

Matrim

I wouldn’t really consider Big a drama. It’s more dramatic than most comedies, but I’d still group it with comedy before drama.

Duncan

Nobody is going to force you to watch the reaction

Itbewhatitbe

didnt the newest movie win the last poll?

Amar

Brilliant movie but low budget and not very well known. 1000+ votes means it would never win like most of the great indie films that are on polls.

Cinebinge

Ya I think I meant to put Big Fish. But since it's already getting votes I can't undo it and discard the votes.

Shehab Dawoud

Telling someone to chill out while using obscenities sort of defeats the point, don’t you think? Yeah they haven’t seen the movies. That’s why they can use the community to ask for recommendations for a certain genre. I am chill, I’m offering constructive criticism/feedback. But maybe you don’t know what that is because you’ve been pampered all your life and have turned into an asskisser yourself.

Itbewhatitbe

oh man. i love the report button. bye!

Dan

Oh no! Now you'll have to do the top two! :)

Farbod

Wow. Simone is a Tom Hanks fan and hasn't seen Big??? Easy choice.

m0lika1 .

Omg i didnt know that thank you 👍

Taterology

Reign over me probably won't even come close to winning but it's a really good movie and Sandler is really good in it.

Michael Bauer

Patriot Games isn't bad, but IMHO "Clear and Present Danger" holds up even better from this series.

WayneC

With the recent passing of Gene Hackman, I would suggest "Crimson Tide". This is another submarine movie, also starring Denzel Washington

Jeff K.

I would also suggest Unforgiven, if they haven't seen that (I don't recall them watching it on the channel)

Funny That

Like the meta-drama of the poll itself, but 'Big' can be dramatic enough it is just that the film tries (understandably) to minimise the full impacts of the premise.

Young Blood Priest

Suggestions: The Best Man The Best Man Holiday Brown Sugar Lucky Number Slevin Inside Man Boomerang starring Eddie Murphy

Śéáń

(I agree but can't state it outright as I've never finished Armageddon)

jmundt33a

Slevin and Inside Man are excellent.

Amar

Yes but all the movies were from the 2000's in that poll. Been a member for a while it's all good but notice how 80's movies always get a lot of votes. Big is a fantastic movie though!!

Trevor S Bright

Ikr, glad to see someone besides me loves this movie. I just love Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle in this. Not ashamed to say there are days when I felt like Sandler's character.

jmundt33a

Also Runaway Jury and Enemy of the State The Quick and the Dead is also entertaining.

underAtack

I second those. Or third, I guess.

JoeE

Loved out of sight

Michael

lol dangit but I've been wanting you to do Big Fish for years and it would definitely have won! So I guess do it as a bonus?:)

Jpsynergy

Incredible. Well I love Big anyway and it's Tom Hanks. Let's go lol

Raymond DeGraw

Always love your reactions... Very nice poll... I look forward to seeing these in the future. 1. The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) 2. Falling Down 3. R.E.D. 4. Get Shorty 5. Crimson Tide

Chase Lonnergan

I have always thought that of the two volcanic movies that came out in 1997, Volcano was better than Dante's Peak.

jmundt33a

Yes. The third probably holds up best. But it gave us an unrealistic expectation of consequences in the American government. Like Dave (they did Dave, right?) and The Pelican Brief.

jmundt33a

Big Fish is ALSO not a drama.

pinkdino99

Dante's Peak is fun. Patriot Games is good, and leads into Clear & Present Danger which is excellent. Big is great. But Platoon is top ten all time and one of the best war films ever made.

jmundt33a

Slevin’s my favorite of these, but Williams is chilling in One Hour Photo.

JayF

Big is a great movie but is a comedy.. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Platoon is very good but also a very tough watch emotionally.

Sumner Hayes

Unforgiven is awesome and Hackman's good in it, but it's a supporting role. If they're doing something in his honor, one of the movies he was lead in during his peak in the 1970s would make sense: The Conversation's my favorite, but it might be too slow to appeal to enough viewers to help the channel out. But the French Connection is a fantastic neo-noir action thriller that features one of the greatest car chases of all time and also won Best Picture and Best Lead Actor for Hackman. That'd be my pick for something in Gene's honor.

jmundt33a

Out of Sight is delicious. Clooney and JLO at their best, Soderbergh at his best with a loaded supporting cast. Wag the Dog is good. Like I said, it’s very obviously from the beginning of the American political doom spiral. But the cast is also loaded.

JoeE

Would also recommend millers crossing, unforgiven, ed wood

Sumner Hayes

May I suggest The French Connection, in honor of Gene Hackman (who tragically passed away this week). It's a neo-noir action thriller that also won Best Picture and Best Leading Actor (for Hackman), and has one of the greatest car chases of all time. It's fitting tribute to the man and was in some ways his real breakout role. (The Conversation is also incredible, it's my favorite film of his, but I suspect it's too slow a film to do well on a reaction channel). Failing that, Unforgiven is a proven reaction channel staple which he has an Oscar-winning supporting role in, and also a great film.

Itbewhatitbe

i havent seen Big Fish either jmundt33a, so i have to go by what imdb says like S&G as theres no other way i can know without seeing it, and on there it lists Drama as one of its categories.

Itbewhatitbe

i mean yeah i think they did a poll a while back that shows most ppl here are 40-50 age group so that makes sense. although funny enough on polls where newer movies do win, those same ppl will say "omg recency bias only new movies win cause everyone here is children"

Itbewhatitbe

in other comments S&G explained they meant to put Big Fish rather than just Big lol

Kevin Ehle

Can't forget the Naked Gun scene when they came out of the theater laughing hysterically. The movie was Platoon. 😀

Ray

UHF.

underAtack

George, you could just create a secondary poll between Big and Big Fish...

Adam Vialpando

I didn't even know Gene died. Man, this sucks.

Cinebinge

yeah its too bad we've already done big hero 6, big trouble and big lebowski. could've had a poll with movies that starts with Big.

Michael Buhl

I strongly second Miller's Crossing!

Michael Buhl

I recommend Bonnie and Clyde (1967). (Gene Hackman was in it.)

Jeff K.

Yeah, he, his wife, and their dog were found dead in their home last week. Haven’t seen any updates but sounds like probably carbon monoxide. It’s a crazy situation (just googled, still no cause of death reported)

Simon Clifton

Great choices and I hope Platoon comes out high! I'll still make a play for "Withnail and I" though.

Dan Holmes

ugh Dante's Peak deserves so much more lol

Robinson vs. Parkinson's

REIGN OF FIRE needs a poll, and yes, just seeing the word reign reminded me of it 😂. Great movie with McConaughey, Gerard Butler, and Christian Bale.

Simone's Coconut Squire

Oh man, now I’m EXTRA bummed because Big Fish is an awesome movie and I totally would have voted for it. Been waiting for you guys to get to that one forever! JUST DO IT!

Simone's Coconut Squire

I’d call it a drama. Are you sure you’re thinking of Tim Burton film? It’s a bit fantastical but I’d solidly place it in drama.

China Andronicus

They ruled out carbon monoxide and are regarding it as suspicious circumstances now.

Bill Woods

"Have you ever been deep-sea fishing?"

China Andronicus

So many people don’t realize how much more difficult comedy is than drama and are surprised when comedic actors turn in fantastic dramatic performances (Robin Williams, Jim Carrey, Billy Connolly, Steve Carrell). I always love seeing it.

Stephanie Chapman

Several of these are not dramatic 🙄 I want Big to win, but how is it on this list?

China Andronicus

I don’t know what Oscar nominees you’ve seen, if any, but I would love to see some of those on here. Wicked, Conclave, A Complete Unknown, the Substance, Nickel Boys…we had some great films this year. Before anyone comes at me fore ignoring the Brutalist, it’s the only one I missed out on so I can’t speak for it. Anora had its moments (Yura’s performance being my favorite part) but I felt the script was lacking and there was also loads of sex and nudity, which could be difficult editing.

Cinebinge

Hi Stephanie, since we have not seen any of these movies, we don't know what genre they should go into. All we have to go by are the tags on their IMDB pages and we do the best we can to group them base entirely on just that, as looking into it any further risks spoilers. In the case of Big, that was an error on our part as we meant to put Big Fish and just got the two mixed up.

Itbewhatitbe

ya'll are waay too serious with this shit. its just a movie poll, that happens every week. its not an election, just movies. chill.

Mayan Luevano

Dante’s Peak would be right up your alley

Alex Wong

If you have Dante's Peak, uyou gotta include Volcano

Mayan Luevano

I second that, the Patriot Games/Clear and Present Danger duo would be a great choice.

Tim T—

Brazil (1985) ist dramatic. Just saying.

darkmoobs

I wouldn’t really call Big a drama, but hell yeah.

CT

Can you remove it from this poll, and put it in the next Comedy poll instead? It would be a shame to lose out on a good drama over an error.

Cinebinge

Hi CT. Once a poll is active and votes are in, it cannot be modified. In any case, polls are a weekly thing and it is important to remember that just because a movie doesnt win in a specific poll, it does not mean they will never ever be watched and discarded. All it means is that they will be watched later, polls serve to just prioritize movies for us, not to choose what to keep and what to throw out.

Mr. Writhms

I second "The French Connection", Hackman's best role, IMO.

Henry Sanchez

Big is a comedy first. On IMDB it’s first tag is Comedy

Tom Hess

Deep Impact deserves more love IMO.

beefjerkywizard

Agreed. Great film and performance by Sandler. Without adding a spoiler, i seem to remember people reacting poorly to it because it showed the lingering trauma of that event and maybe they weren't ready for it.

The Gunslinger

Could you cover Atlantis: The Lost Empire?

mky

The "drama" is a comedy winning the poll in a landslide. 😜

Erik

You should just do Big Fish anyway as well as whatever the winner is. It's such a good movie to react to.

Sam Ferguson

These are all great films, but I hope 'Platoon' wins — it's a movie in its own class, in my opinion. It's unique among modern American war films, as far as I know, insofar as it's the dramatized, semi-autobiographical account of writer/director's service in one of America's most complicated and controversial wars. I won't say more to avoid spoilers, but suffice it to say that it's earned its many accolades (multiple Academy Awards, AFI Top 100, entry into the National Film Register and Library of Congress, etc.).

Bruce Liddle

Must be a young crowd otherwise there would only be Patriot Games and Platoon in the race.

Zach D

Reign Over Me is one of the most difficult movies to get through

Beddoe

Next time you do a comedy poll you can add Big Fish. That way people will get to complain twice.

Dechevalier

Really hope you get to see 13 Hours. It's an amazing True Story

Beddoe

If Big does win I recommend the theatrical version instead of the extended version.

Jeff K.

@China Andronicus - damn, that's crazy. It's a very, very strange situation.

Jeff K.

I honestly didn't even know there is an extended version, I think I've only ever seen the theatrical.

Ethan Holgate

Big is good but I would have preferred Dante's Peak

myinniemademedoit

Reign Over Me deserves a watch. Even if you two just watch it on your own.

Ari Ramirez

13 Hours is pretty good! Lots of people dismiss as your average meathead Michael Bay action flick but I think it's one of his best.

Sebastian ronin83mg

13 hours is probably the best Michael Bay film. To bad it flopped.

sahliente

Requiem for a Dream is very dramatic.

James Falato

I Love "Big"... Tis more Light Comedy than "Dramaaaatic" but still worth Your Reactions Time...

Sean Hennessy

If you do Patriot Games I would suggest doing the whole Jack Ryan run, at least the first 3 movies (if not already watched). Edit, it looks like they have watched Hunt for Red October. This is the next movie in the release order, with Clear and Present Danger after that. Main actor changes (from Alec Baldwin to Harrison ford). Then additional actors in later movies (similar to how Bond is done).

Jeff I.

What? The two most recent movies are low in the poll, and Big came out within a few years of the others. I think it's just that more people want to see them react to a nostalgic 80's comedy (with a little drama) over the others. Comedy and action will almost always beat out the more "serious" movies in a poll regardless of the reactor.

Jeff I.

Yeah, it's a great performance from Sandler in a more subdued, serious role. Sadly, it went under the radar a bit, so it won't ever win a poll.

Amar

I agree it works both ways mate. True!!

cincassette

Platoon and Big are my top choices here. Many of the other options fall into what I’d consider the 'dad movie' genre (mostly mediocre, patriotic military/spy action films that don’t offer much beyond surface-level entertainment). I’m happy to sit through them with my dad when they pop up on cable on a Sunday afternoon, but I feel like movies with a real philosophical backbone make for better reactions, especially when there are plenty of incredible spy or military films like Platoon. I'd also suggest: - The Thin Red Line (1998) - The Conversation (1974) - The Lives of Others (2006, German) - Beau Travail (1999, French)

JoeE

I think platoon is also a comedy. I remember Leslie Nielsen and Priscilla Presley laughing when they leaving the theater in naked gun

Simon Ham

Just one out of the box - Reign of fire. Christian Bale, Mconaghy, dragons, end of world, mass hysteria and since we waited with GOT its aged s well. EHH Throw it on a list..Seriously it's so much better than people remember. Much love 👦 👬

Simon Ham

And then Philadelphia..A jump noone expected after the piano. A bi jump to the left

Simon Ham

My favourite romantic movie

Simon Ham

Sure is but James Franco is icky...,ohhhhhhj, never mind. Tee hee

Brandon Meng

Not really a poll for me. Some classic, well regarded films for sure but I think this is the first poll in a long time that I haven't voted for something. Please consider for future drama polls: Perks of Being a Wallflower Manchester by the Sea Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri The Royal Tenenbaums Drive Anything by director Alexander Payne (Sideways, Nebraska, The Holdovers, Election...) Cheers!

Tom M

Poll idea with creatures: Anaconda, the gator in the lake one, Species, the museum one with Sizemore. There’s a bunch from 90s and 00s.

Anodyne

Love Big, but I always found it a comedy. Platoon will give some famous movie moments.

beefjerkywizard

It was on the previous poll or the one before that

JarHead0351

13 Hours is based on a true story and how they faught to save lives - Semper Fi

Wicked Wookie

Yes, the earlier movies are the only ones to actually capture the real character of Jack Ryan. The later ones, and especially the TV shows, turn Ryan onto a generic and forgettable action hero. That was not Jack Ryan in the books.

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy Says Happy Halloween Grrr Argh

Did a double take wondering if ‘Big’ was always a drama and that I’d been actually laughing at a serious movie all these years like a lunatic haha. Anyways, it’s definitely worth watching because Hanks is so bloody loveable in it. ‘Platoon’ is amazing and up there for best war movies too

Logan Kerlee

Happy to see Big doing so well. :) May not be a fave of mine but it's a fun and easy watch. :)

Logan Kerlee

I too, didn't know about the extended version. I'd be open to watching it = provided of course I could find the extended version online. Likely wouldn't be too difficult. :)

Logan Kerlee

Not going to lie - while reading this post I read "much beyond scarface.." xD My interest was PIQUED as I saw that! xD I love that movie so much. :P lol, I of course re read it and saw my error and had a laugh. :) hahahaha

Logan Kerlee

I'll always prefer Armageddon over Deep Impact.

Logan Kerlee

Just watched a trailer for Dante's Peak and whoa - it has Linda Hamilton in it! I totally forgot about that! She's an awesome actress! I really enjoyed her in Terminator/Terminator 2: Judgement Day!

Paddy Thompson

Not sure why Big is on here, good movie but definitely not a drama. Philadelphia….now that’s a Hanks drama

Archive23

Well… I would guess that a child thought to have been kidnapped counts as a drama.

Itbewhatitbe

they answered in older comments from earlier today that it was a mistake, that they meant to put Big Fish but since people already started voting they couldnt undo the votes.

Cinebinge

theatrical cut is 1:44:10 right?

p0sthum4n

Big doesn't really feel like an appropriate entry here, ngl. Deep Impact was my vote.

Terry Light

One of these things are not like the other... (Big)

Itbewhatitbe

they answered in older comments from earlier today that it was a mistake, that they meant to put Big Fish but since people already started voting they couldnt undo the votes.

Itbewhatitbe

they answered in older comments from earlier today that it was a mistake, that they meant to put Big Fish but since people already started voting they couldnt undo the votes.

Beddoe

Since today is 3/3 I would like to request some threequels - The Godfather 3 (I've heard 'The Godfather Coda: The Death Of Michael Corleone' (2020) is the best version - Shrek The 3rd (2007) - Monty Python 3 (The Meaning Of Life (1983)) - Tom Hanks 3 (Actually his third film 'Bachelor Party' (1984)) I'd also like to request the Savage Steve Holland trilogy - Better Off Dead (1985) - One Crazy Summer (1986) - How I Got Into College (1989)

David S

I'm always late to post in these threads, but add "Road to Perdition" to the list please. Stars Tom Hanks, Daniel Craig, and Paul Newman... From the director of Skyfall.

Emily G

My top suggestions all different kinds of genres! Please read, maybe add to list? Ever after (1998) What Dreams May come (1998) The Producers (2005 version) Bridget Jones Diary (2001) Moulin Rouge (2001) Practical Magic (1998) Into the Woods (2014) Soul Surfer (2011) Lilo and Stitch (2002)

DinChild

Sorry, but Reign Over Me should find its way to more polls. It's not a fan favorite, but it is a great drama.

Rachel W

Platoon is fantastic.

Com1xguy

Deep Impact is getting ELE'd this poll :D

Paddy Thompson

Ahhhhh makes sense now. Pity cause Big Fish is also an amazing film! I was literally watching it last night soo good!

TanyoScatto

should just do big fish if big wins b/c its a great movie anyway

Jacob King

80s comedies should be restricted to 80s comedies polls.

Steve kephart

You guys loved The Hunt For Red October. So I know you will love the rest of the Jack Ryan movies. Hopefully Patriot Games will be added to more polls so it can finally be watched by you guys.

Steve kephart

Agreed. I was so looking forward to them adapting my favorite Clancy book, Without Remorse and was horrified with how badly they handled it. I'd love to see Rainbow Six turned into a miniseries if they stick to the source material and not botch it.

Rupert Purcat

13 hours is really good movie based on real events and is way underrated.

Darin Foat

If Big wins the drama poll, you should be required to watch the whole thing without laughing.

Jacob King

Watching Big as if it were a body horror

Dan Holmes

she's great in it, it's very underrated, my favorite disaster film probably, great characters and effects :)

Dan Holmes

😅 it totally is, that movie creeps me out lol

Dan Holmes

i can't believe big is winning this, insanity...

Mike FromOz

And then recall in horror at the end scene where the stark reality of what has occurred should have hit the female lead, but...

Mike FromOz

I'd be down for substituting Big with Big Fish.

Mike FromOz

If it was supposed to be Big Fish, can we just not make it so? I don't think people will mind. 'Big' is pretty mid-to-bad tbh.

Random Nevermind

Hi. Suggesting two movies to watch and cry a little: Lady for a day (1933) A.I.

Rasmus Kristensen

Crazy how its just seem to be forgotten by pop culture.

jmundt33a

That is certainly an opinion. And I certainly would mind ditching a film you claim is “mid-to-bad” for a film that is inferior to it.

jmundt33a

Practical Magic and Ever After are two of my absolute favorites and Ever After is the best live action Cinderella film to date. Maybe one day it will be surpassed, but it’ll be awhile. What Dreams May Come is a visual feast and very underrated.

jmundt33a

How I Got Into College is a forgotten gem. Shrek the Third is an annoyance that crippled the Shrek franchise.

Mike FromOz

'Big Fish' is in no way inferior to 'Big'. Not even close. Especially when the ending of 'Big' is essentially "whoops, ------------------------", well, you know.

jmundt33a

Sideways and Drive would be my picks off that list.

jmundt33a

Anora as a concept is probably okay. But set in the last three years, it just gives me the ick.

Brandon Meng

I haven't seen either movie, but if non-drama Big accidentally wins the drama poll, I would push for a subsequent Big Fish reaction just because it's been recommended by a ton of people on this channel for a looooong time now. That and Almost Famous. Years, probably.

Foodassassin4life

LoL 😅😆🤣 Exactly!!! Especially since that's what Tom is gonna claim when Epstein's list comes out. That why he left America after Trump won the Presidential election

Itbewhatitbe

go to the main page and scroll up? it was posted like 15 mins ago.

Itbewhatitbe

ya'll remember the "be civil" post S&G reposts every few months? just a reminder they really reaaaally want people to keep politics off of the platform unless you dont wanna be here any more. frankly i agree. and even if you dont like something, dont spoil it. let them decide. imagine if jmundt33a says "i hate that movie big fish, the ending is just _____ anyways".

jmundt33a

They’ve done Big Trouble from 2001/2? How did I not know that?

Itbewhatitbe

have you try using the search post box at the top right corner? or just hit the Cinebinge page on the left side of your screen under Memberships? and make sure there isnt any filters turned on when you search or go to the main page?

Benfica Sarajevo

Yeah. Nothing works. I also didn't receive an email notification about it...

Benfica Sarajevo

I can see the post clicking on the collection but it appears to be locked behind a new tier of subscription, which I didn't need for previous week's video

Itbewhatitbe

oh ive had that happen to me a few times, seen others comment about that too. logging in and out fixes it.

Shonnicus

I'm not drinking Merlot!

Adam

I love that Big is winning the Drama poll. Not sure how it snuck in there, but I'm not mad about it.

Paul Hawthorne

That fact that Big is winning is kinda depressing.

Brandon Meng

The most iconic Paul Giamatti line

John

The Sizemore movie I believe is the Relic and an underrated creature feature

Huckleberry lobo

For your consideration, the award winning drama: What's Eating Gilbert Grape with stellar performances by Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp.

Rachel W

In honor of director David Lynch's recent passing, I'd like to suggest "Blue Velvet"(1986), the crime drama mystery that exposes the dirty and disturbing underbelly of a seemingly idyllic small town.

jmundt33a

Thanks London. Agree to disagree Mike FA’s red hat is too tight on their head today. Ironic considering their comment. Though I am curious, did NYC float to Europe? Tom and Rita were there for the SNL 50 bash in February and Tom performed what I can only assume is a searingly accurate character from all the pearl clutching that ensued.

jmundt33a

Is there an extended cut of Splash floating around somewhere?

jmundt33a

Did they bother to do this with Splash? I’ve always heard the initial cut was ridiculous.

jmundt33a

A League of Their Own and Sleepless in Seattle were in there too.

jmundt33a

Carrey would seem to give the lie to that premise, but he’s excellent in The Truman Show.

Michael

They said apparently they meant to put Big Fish but mistyped and didn't realize until it was already winning lol

Michael

No love for The Moneypit? I dig that, as part of Hanks comedy era.

Michael

lol Red I was just about to say "especially..." and list the other 3 movies! Just goes to show what a diverse and beloved selection of films GH was in=)

BoredLittleLady

I have to recommend the new academy award best animated feature winner “Flow” (2024) it’s so good.

I mean, I won't say no. Why stop there? We've still got Big Daddy, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Big Hero 6, Big Trouble in Little China...

Itbewhatitbe

they answered in earlier comments that it was meant to be big fish and just mixed the two up. also, theyve done big hero 6 and big trouble.

Brandon Meng

aware of the snafu, we're just being silly now

"Big" saw the competition in this poll and said "OK, but I get to be on top!" Vote for whatever you like, people

Jeff Angeloff

It's a real shame more people don't know about Reign Over Me. An even better dramatic Sandler role than Click for me

SnabbKassa

If what happens to TH's character happened to you, you'd think it was pretty dramatic

Hi all been watching Cinebinge for a while on YouTube and decided to come on over. Wanted to support and ask 1 question. Have y’all hinted or seen Mr. Magoriums Wonder Emporium? I really think Simone would love it and George would like the concept. Just a suggestion. Glad to be here 😊

Brendan Rafferty

Six dramas and one comedy This is a weird poll

Adam

I second that

RLYtoxic

Well Big is a good movie, so I guess people voted for it. Nothing depressing here.

Adam

I think we should watch a Gene Hackman movie soon, in his honor. Such a great actor. The Firm, Crimson Tide, or The Birdcage would be good choices.

Tom M

Yes thank you!

Rachel W

They really should watch Platoon since it actually won the drama poll. And because it's a great film.

Ricardo Alanis

Are you guys planning to react to Wicked in the near future? I think you’d love it especially after the Wizard of Oz reaction.
