Please add to your list of movies, -Pawn Sacrifice (2014) - Based on true story of Bobby Fisher -Stick It (2006) - Gymnastics Movie

Grumples

Hell yeah I love the 2nd one the most. I hope they get around to watching Nimona and The Wild Robot, too

Bon Wa

Yeah boiiiiii!! This is my favorite one, looking forward to watching it again

Nikolai

I notice the Prospector Weinstein outtake was another thing quietly removed from the Disney+ version! When you guys do this, are you usually watching Blu Rays?

lee - ber nool

You should react to A Bugs Life too… still my favourite Pixar movie.

lovemoose

I'd like to recommend Finding Nemo for your next pixar watch!

Carlos Hurtado

I would love to see you two react to the 3rd movie. Its great!

Guillermo Antonio Ricci Alvarez

I'm almost sure in IMDB trivia this is mentioned, but the blooper scene you guys didn't like was removed from recent movie versions as it was a common joke years ago but not something acceptable now

Justtired

I definitely recommend watching Toy Story 3. The Hunchback of Notre Dame is one of my favorites with Tom Hulce (Mozart in Amadeus), Demi Moore and Kevin Kline. I’d like to see you react to some older animated movies too. Like Robin Hood, The Sword & the Stone, The Last Unicorn, etc.

Up next: TISSUES

lordoflondon

to be fair even if Simone didnt live in the woods with bad internet and they use streaming sites to watch simultaneously, they would still have to record the movie off of the streaming site so that they have a movie file to edit with. which would still be considered as piracy.

Odd Thomas

3 is the best one imo. While 4 is utterly superfluous, it's still really good

Odd Thomas

Other good animations: The Wild Robot Watership Down Nimona Weathering With You

Joshua Bloom

I love toy story 2! The third is really great as well! I'm not sure if either of you noticed, but Jessie's hat is the same as Andy's. There's a theory that Andy's mom is actually Emily, Jessie's original owner! And she passed down the hat to Andy.

Kevin K.

This was a great 34th bday gift to wake up too haha Toy Story 2 is deff one of the best in the Pixar and animation universe. I saw this in theaters when it came out and it’s always been one of my favorites!

Zoltán Bublos

I really recommend you guys to search up for how this movie was made. Very interesting story. It's a real MIRACLE that the second Toy Story wrapped.

Ginger

To adress your concerns at the end about the fate of the person who accidentally deleted all of Toy Story 2 during the production: In his book "Creativity Inc", Pixar co-founder Ed Catmull explains that they deliberately decided NOT to find and punish the person responsible, as it was surely an accident. So actually, nobody got in trouble for it. Which I think is a great management decision. Of course this led to a huge increase in data security, version control and regular backups for them. Plus, a great point he makes in the book: This story is a prime example for why companies should allow for paid family leave.

Kevin

Can’t wait for Toy Story 3

Mark Messer

Based on your discussion at the beginning of the film, I think you guys will enjoy the third one. Also, George said he wanted to know more about the repair guy. Pixar has made a short about him. Before this movie actually. So hes kind of a cameo appearance.

Steve Arnold

I love how much the two of you enjoy these movies even though they‘re made for kids. Looking forward to your reactions for the next ones.

Thomas Thompson

Love Simone's cat meowing at the exact moment buzz pushed the Lazer button

MrFeets

So if you actually watched these movies as a kid then Andy is an actually ment to be a placeholder for us since he’s the same age we would be when this movie came out and he grows up along with us as the movies progresses. It’s such a dope concept! Also you guys gotta do a bugs life!

JakeToll

Ride like the wind Cinebinge!!

Chris Truex

You should 100% make some MTG content. Maybe just keep it to patreon if you don't want weirdos to go after your builds or whatever. I would certainly watch, and I haven't touched MTG since like 2002

Logan Kerlee

lmao - Simone, I always am sure to run Creeping Mold/Uktabi Orangutan in my green decks because of players like you. xD

Jpsynergy

Can't wait for Toy Story 3 and would love to see you guys do A Bug's Life.

Mark Messer

Yeah, I always thought that was neat. I feel like they’re kind of doing a similar thing with the inside out series.

Mastervodo

I would also love to see you guys cry.... er..... watch the Wild Robot. But, be careful. Nat G. has had it taken down at least twice. So whatever studio that is is an asshole to reactors.

RichieRich

The journey continues...

Raven Dark

OMG, yes. I'm dying to see a reaction to that one. That went from a movie I completely ignored (my own stupidity based on the poster, unfortunately) to one of my favorite films that I now eat up every reaction to.

Logan Kerlee

Had a lot of fun watching this with you both! :) I've got to say that I really enjoyed this movie even though I remember not liking it nearly as much as the first. I may just be seeing it from a new/older perspective and it's more entertaining that way - I'm not certain. Whatever it is though - I had a blast watching with you both. :) Thanks so much for the amazing fun reaction! :D

ZachBrickowski

It’s funny you should mention you like the old guy who cleaned Woody. He originates from the short film, Geri’s Game, which played before A Bug’s Life in theaters.

Logan Kerlee

The genuine joy that they express is very uplifting! :) I need these reactions on some days and I'm very happy that there's another one. :)

Logan Kerlee

I stopped playing around the same time as you and yeah, I'm 100% down to watch some MTG content!

Chris Truex

I had so much fun, but kids started coming in to school and annihilating me with pre-bought decks, and I realized I didn't have enough cards (or money to buy new cards), to combat new mechanics. Still remember it fondly, though

FranciscoGios

A Bug’s Life is all right, I prefer Antz and Bee Movie both are not Pixar but from DreamWorks, the animation is watchable but not great as Pixar’s. The storylines for both are great though.

Raven Dark

I feel like a broken record at this point when I say this, but this is such a great reaction. The genuine excitement and joy you have for animated films like this is such a treat. I know so many anti-animation snobs who think movies like this are bad just because they're animated, and it makes me sad. Watching you two bring such appreciation to the genre is wonderful. So, strange thing. I could have sworn I saw this movie before, but while watching it, I had no memory of a previous watch. Which is odd because, not only do I usually have a great memory for shows and movies. This time, that song, which I think is called When She Loved Me, made me sob. You'd think I would have had the same reaction the first time, and if I did, I would certainly have remembered it. What's funny is that I have a distinct memory of having seen something from what must be either the third or fourth Toy Story film. I won't say what it is, because of spoilers. But if I didn't see this one, then it means I must have accidentally skipped it somehow. And if the memory I have is from TS3, then it means I may not have seen TS4 at all. If you guys are planning on watching the rest of them, than it gives me a nice surprise to look forward to, and it'll be fun getting caught up for TS5 so I can watch it with you. :D Oh, and I wanted to add in my thunderous agreement with others who recommended you guys react to The Wild Robot. I know I mentioned it before, but the last few days is the first time I've seen others start to talk about it here. I hope that means it gets a watch soon. Oh, also, also, I agree with recs for watching Finding Nemo and A Bug's Life. Someone also mentioned Antz, which I'd love to see here, though like the other commentor said of Antz, while the animation is a little dated, the story is great. I also would like to add in a recommendation for The Croods, which I think you two would love.

James O'Sullivan

That's good. Someone being able to make a mistake like that is the failing of the team and/or process, not the individual.

Skyruff

I heavily recommend “Small Soldiers” (1998). “Not just a toy!” Lots to great actors including all the living actors from the movie dirty dozen and a scene with Sarah Michelle Gellar and Christina Ricci.

dys

At 32:40 the version on US Disney+ has Buzz in front of the American flag with our national anthem playing, rather than in front of a globe with music I don't recognize as your version has. Wonder if that was always only in US versions? I know that flag and anthem are not exactly seen favorably in Canada right now (justifiably so IMO)...

REDR58

Wonderful reactions. First time for me! The Zurg/Darth Vader joke was pretty funny but did anyone else notice the sound effects taken from Star Wars earlier in the movie? Stuck right out to me. Apparently pressure sensitive switches in front of commercial doors do exist, but you’re probably much more likely to see motion sensors triggering the doors to open. I found the Al McWhiggin character to look remarkably realistic, much more so than any other human character in the movie. He is voiced by Wayne Knight, Newman from Seinfeld and Dennis Nedry from Jurassic Park. You guys didn’t seem to recognize her, but Canadian Sarah McLachlan sings “When She Loved Me.” https://youtu.be/jQ45ySdwco8?si=VRGIIxBltFmfY4Ey Etch-A-Sketch is the name of a specify toy, currently owned by owned by Spin Master of Toronto, Ontario. It was previously owned by Ohio Art (that’s the one remember as a kid) but was invented by French toy designer André Cassagnes and which came on the market in 1960 by Ohio Art.

I feel like it's unfair to say these are "made for kids". Kids in particular enjoy them, yes, but I feel like they're made for people of all ages, with different aspects appealing to different age groups. Also, for example, the movie Soul is the most "made for adults" Pixar movie I've ever seen. There are themes and concepts in that movie you can't even begin to wrap your head around without having been alive for a few decades. Even if you're paying them the respect they deserve, I feel like simply calling them "made for kids" is selling them a bit short.

Gary Fixler

I doubt anything happened to the guy who deleted the entire film. I worked for Disney games as a tech artist, and the tech artist who hired me on to help him had done the same thing his first week. I don't recall how, but he basically, accidentally threw out the entire shared drive everyone was working in. (this was 20+ years ago, before people started to learn they should use versioning software). They were able to recover it, after some panic, but typically at the big companies I've worked for, such events are handled pretty well, and they just try to put safeguards in place to keep it from happening again. That said, they never really put in enough safeguards, at least not to my liking. It's amazing how sloppy big companies are.

Philipp Roensch

Shared loved for MTG and artifacts especially here, I love building powerful combos around them. Simone, you have not truly lived until you play Platinum Angel with Bolas' Citadel or Necropotence, that is the Phyrexian Unlife we all crave! (just to confuse all non-Magic nerds). Really liked this one more than the first, just loved the jokes a bit more, and the message hits better. I can tell already, the next ones will go even more into the hard breakup with toys. Hamm is my favorite now, hilarious to make the piggy bank so price conscious.

Zeroplue

Posting this just to bring more attention to this: We need to do an MTG day with Simone

Jeb Manning

There's also a few animated movies I'd recommend reactions to for the future. They're so good, and I think they would make for great reactions: -Pinocchio (1940) -Heavy Metal (1981) -The Secret of NIMH (1982) -The Last Unicorn (1982) -The Great Mouse Detective (1986) -An American Tail (1986) -The Brave Little Toaster (1987) -The Land Before Time (1988) -All Dogs Go to Heaven (1989) -Aladdin (1992) -The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996) -Up (2009) -The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023) -Transformers One (2024)

beefjerkywizard

The MTG deck that I've been (slowly)building is a bear deck...where I picture there was a flyer asking different bears to join but someone forgot to preface if they meant the animal or big hairy dudes. It will probably play like trash but I'll laugh every time hahahaha. Also I agree, we need more MTG content.

michael denny

should slap some Atogs in that arty deck of yours

No

Wait. What were they Freaking out about in the bloopers.....

David Lonewolf Wright

Jessie's story about her Emily and that damn Sarah McLachlan son gets me every fricken time. It is like those animal abuse and saving commercials with the dogs and cats looking super sad with her In the Arms of Angel song playing. That woman is a musical menace. This was going to be a straight to home video release, then someone realized they were being stupid and got it to the theaters.

UncleGaGa1979

Sarah MacLachlan was robbed of an Oscar!!!! "When She Loved Me" was a much better track than that Phil Collins song from Disney's Tarzan movie and is arguably more fondly-remembered than "You'll Be in My Heart." How that song beat out MacLachlan's song, "Blame Canada" from the South Park movie AND Aimee Mann's "Save Me" from Magnolia still astounds me, even 25 years later.
