I think today's been rough on everybody. I completely get the thumbnail. Going to settle in for a good cry with G&S.

Patrick

Best Toy Story by far for me. I'm still amazed Ken was played by Michael Keaton.

Mike Medaugh

I've been meaning to mention this, but Piggy Bank is voiced by John Ratzenberger. He is best known for playing Cliff Clavin on the 80s sitcom Cheers. He was a know-it-all mailman er letter carrier. He always had pointless trivia factoids. Which is why he knows it all here. Remember Toy Story 1 came out 15 years previous so yeah the 6-10 year olds who watched it would be late teens and 20's so the darker tone is age appropriate for the OG watchers

Emptysea93

That evil monkey toy reminds me, you two should watch The Monkey, it is coming out on streaming and it’s absolutely hysterical and absurd.

ShōNuff3K

I have an issue...no, an important question that popped up while I was watching. Is there a Chinese word for booger?

Thall

I remember a while after this movie came out, a guy pranked his gf or wife by making a custom cut that ends when all the toys accept their death. I gotta say, I found it hilarious, but i am pretty sure that guy is dead now, lol

RogueRN

How can Simone ‘ugly cry’ and still be so damn cute?

BoredLittleLady

Children crying in the theatre? Dude! I was a teenager crying in the theater. This movie came out the summer after I graduated high school, it’s the perfect ending to Toy Story.

Mike FromOz

I thought he looked a hell of a lot like Ryan Reynolds.

Doug the Movie Guy

It's such a heartfelt and amazing ending. This us why a lot of people say to stop here and not watch the 4th film. Given how well this film wraps everything up, decide if you want to open that door again...

Dan Holmes

"Just theaters of crying children across the world" Well, theaters of crying adults really lol... The 4th one is basically a fan film, worth a watch but think of it as a spinoff in tone. This film is absolutely the official conclusion :) You should check out The Great Mouse Detective for a truly awesome dark villain ;)

Paul T Hewes

Absurd and hysterical are quite accurate. The Monkey was a ride.

Kenny240

I knew as soon as the notification for this one popped up this morning, that this was going to make Simone cry hard. I think this was most people’s favorite of the series, and for good reason.

HeyHeyJK

One thing that people don’t always notice, that fully cements the fact that this film was supposed to be the very end of the series, is that the very last shot of the cloud wallpaper in this film was the very first shot in “Toy Story”. I’d say you can postpone, or even ignore, TS4.

Adele

I actually really like the 4th film. Theres a thing with Woody that I really think they nailed with the 4th one.

BoredLittleLady

Not just Simone cried. I wasn’t expecting to cry at a reaction but here we are. Also, this is my favorite Toy Story movie.

YYZHawk

The 4th one was completely unnecessary and yet it is absolutely a must watch. One of the very very few instances where a cash grab actually results in a great movie.

Phillyman!!

Yes that was supposed to be Sid as the garbage man. And yes this movie is my favorite out of the 3 too. Again imo you shouldn’t watch the fourth movie. I’ve watched it and it very good but it is the definition of UNNECESSARY. these 3 movies ended perfectly 💯💯🔥🔥

Odd Thomas

lol it just looks like George made Simone cry

Jawnnnn

Toy Story 4 is totally worth watching. The 3rd is the best one for sure with it wrapping up the Andy storyline but the 4th one covers some new and lovely themes for the series. Still made me ugly cry in the theater

BigSlice

Ratzenberger does a voice in every Pixar film. Usually it's just a quick cameo, like The Underminer at the end of "The Incredibles" or one of maintenance team in the "Inside Out" series. He was also John, the human who WALL-E meets right after he boards the Axiom.

Mastervodo

Simone: Heart breaking and crying GALLONS of tears at the adorable yet agonizing final scene .... because the hoarder in her cannot emotionally cope. How can Andy part with any of his possessions? To a stranger! ¡Ay dios mío! Noooooo! (In the background, all the way from downtown middle of the woods Canada, through the internet, and what seems to be as an echo behind my Chrome browser, I hear Simone's furious, insistent voice.... "I am not a hoarder!")

Moondigger

You must watch the fourth movie. I think it's better than the third, though then again I thought the second was the best of the bunch. (I liked the second best because the themes it explores -- abandonment, loneliness, and our place in the world -- are more profound to me. All the Toy Story movies are great, but the second spoke to me the most.) That said, the fourth movie is great too exploring new themes, even if the third seemed to wrap things up pretty well.

Galactic Cannibl

Truckers do that with stuffed animals and toys on their semi trucks. Last year I was following a semi and on the bottom of the bumper, they had a Buzz Lightyear and Woody mounted facing traffic behind them. I think one was standing and one was sitting

Kron0n

Cid was the garbage truck driver who took away the bear.

Luke

I was the same age as Andy when the first one came out. When the third movie came out I was going to my first year of college, still the same age as Andy. I felt like the movie was made for me. It resonated so hard, I definitely cried multiple times while watching.

R. Chang

Toy Story 4 is a good movie when considered by itself, but I don't think it fits in with the other 3, thematically.

Lachlan Caldwell

This movie was the perfect finale to the story. Every movie after this is just a shameless money-grab by the house of mouse.

I visited home at Christmas and my mum made up the spare room for me and unlike previous times she'd put on the bed the teddy bear I was given the day I was born that I took everywhere with me as a kid. My memory of it had always been how it was originally with a nice red knitted sweater, shiny eyes, soft ears - but seeing it for the first time again I remembered that sweater was lost years ago, the eyes had faded and gotten covered in scratches and the material on one of the ears had completely worn off. But seeing that bear again randomly overwhelmed me with a whole ton of emotions. I can't even really say what they all were, nostalgia, sadness that time has passed and people I love are getting older, a bit of regret that I spend so much time being a grown up and not finding time to be more joyful and childlike. I gave my mum a huge hug that day and I guess she just thought I was glad to see her, but toys really do mean a lot and I'm not surprised this one is what got Simone really going with the tears. We're oddly sentimental creatures.

BoredLittleLady

I remember watching a video where they said that teen Andy is voiced by the same actor that voiced Andy in the original movie. Knowing that makes me happy.

Adam K

In the beginning - “That would be too dark for this movie” - oh George - you have no idea how dark this is going to get.

Crawnch!

The 4th one is good but is my least favorite.

Stevtrek

The standalone specials (Toy Story of Terror & Toy Story That Time Forgot - 22mins each) take place between the 3rd and 4th movie and are a fun watch.

Jacob Colson

I think the same actor voices Andy again on Toy Story 4, right?

Ginger

I was just about to search for this video, thank you. I usually don't like pranks but this one is great.

Aaron Pacher

The reason they didn't leave during the day was because Buzz was not there with them and is in the butterfly room with Lotso, if they left then Buzz is left behind brainwashed at Sunnyside so the plan has to be at night where they know Buzz will be in the caterpillar room guarding them alone.

Jay Willis

As you can see from the other comments, Toy Story 4 is very divisive. Most people will acknowledge that the 3rd felt like a perfect send off and a perfect way to wrap the franchise, but it's pretty split on whether the 4th is a) good, and b) nothing more than a cash grab. I think it's both. I think they probably thought the 3rd would be the last, but then realized additional sequels would do quite well. It's 100% a cash grab, but I think the 4th is also a good story on it's own, and the upcoming 5th will be the same. They'll be great movies, but they do....weaken the franchise' strong narrative that the first three had. It ended so perfectly, so extending it was going to weaken that collectively strong narrative. But I still enjoy it and I think people should relax and just enjoy the future films for what they are.

Ampersander7

I was curious about the Spanish version of this film, and did a quick internet search. Spanish mode Buzz still uses Spanish, but in a different dialect depending on the region. So, in Latin America, he speaks Castilian Spanish (which is the same accent used in the English version). But in Spain, he speaks Andalusian Spanish.

AC10

Simone definitely got some crying therapy in on this one. As expected. But that's a good thing. I'm happy to see she connected with the story as we all did. Total win here. As for the people that thrive on emotional carnage of others.... Yea... We win the same. 😬 (Seconds later when we think no one is looking 😭).

AC10

Dude... I thought about this when George mentioned it (for the first time ever) then totally forgot to follow through and look it up myself. Thank you for doing so and sharing with the rest of us. (Damn it I wish I spoke different languages.... I bet the whole experience of so many movies would be like a whole new experience....)

AC10

It's been a min since I watched the 4th movie.... But I'm a completionist at heart. Watch it all. Good or bad don't matter. It's still more content and WAIT WAIT WAIT I've watched some terrible stuff while th them and still ll enjoyed it because their commentary alone was worth it. So I'm 100% in on completing the series. Now TV series are a whole different commitment... Different conversation.

AC10

Heck Yeah They Are!!! Woohoo!!! Seriously though. They really are good. They would love them. We would love them. JUST DO IT!!!

AC10

I feel like you are being 100% honest. I watched it. Multiple times. It's been years so I don't remember living it as much as the first 3... THAT SAID I absolutely didn't hate it. It was GOOD!!! Let's freekin watch it. Why not??

AC10

Hehehe... What George doesn't know could fill multiple best selling books... What George knows that I don't could fill multiple best selling books.... Let's all experience new amazing things together.

AC10

O_o Ok this is 7min plus... Imma enjoy this after a cig. But it's cued now thanks for sharing.

AC10

Why do have to edit single words in with when I edit auto correct already knows what the correct word was....??

AC10

O_O I see the irony. I'm going to leave my reply as is to emphasize my point.

AC10

100% agree. It's a DAMN good movie. Only when compared to the legendary 1st 3 which so So SO many other series can't even compete with is it considered lacking. (Read this comparitively... Not as a statement for the whole of all cinema ever(.

AC10

Dang it Bobby... You had to relate it to real life. I feel you. I absolutely love this but I was moved more with the Harry Potter series myself. (And the Vampire Diaries and ESPECIALLY The Originals but that's and entire community wide discussion in itself).

Thirty Year Old Mulberry Field

Bro those lil’guys were really willing and ready to die with each other!!! And then the relief in tension as the silly Pizza Planet aliens save them with THE CLAW! Aaahhh why you gotta play me like that 😢😭! No way could anything in “Toy Story 4” come close to those kinds of stakes! I’ve watched the shorts that come prior to the 4th movie and those serve as a nice little epilogue to watch on your own time but I refuse to watch TS4, this one just concludes the story too well, just my opinion of course.

Thirty Year Old Mulberry Field

I do think addressing the topic of the “IPad generation” would make for a compelling story/ discussion for this particular franchise, but nostalgia and some cynicism has me wishing that they’d tackle this plot with a new cast of characters. Those little guys practically saw the gates of hell, let them chill with Bonnie bro! ;)

Penny the Goblin

Echoing a lot of folks here: the fourth one is divisive because this one felt like a perfect ending. It’s actually a great movie (if a little long, coulda shaved a good 20 minutes or so IMO), but coming in after a peak ending makes it feel unnecessary. I still say you should watch it, because … well, I like watching you two watch things! :D What I’m worried about is the upcoming fifth movie — 4 at least felt earnest despite the undertones of cash-grabbiness, but with how Disney has been doing in the past few years, my confidence in 5 being good has tanked.

Whitehorse49

In the European Spanish dub, to contrast with the standard Spanish spoken by the other characters, “Spanish Buzz” speaks with a prominent Andalusian accent. The Latin Spanish dub has him speaks European Spanish instead.

FatLittleButterfly

Great end to a trilogy? Yes. Do I want to watch more Toy Story? HECK YEAH. As a kid who watched Toy Story and waited for a decade for Toy Story 3, I couldn't wait to watch more Toy Story. I really don't care what anyone else say about whether it feels wrong or it ruins the franchise. Honestly, I don't understand making a big deal out of making films after the perfect ending. It doesn't take away anything I had felt watching the first 3. If anything, having more Toy Story to watch just makes me happy. If they are making it, I'm watching it.
