Comments

probablyKoi

Annihilation and Pitch Black are both so good, would be happy with either

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

Evolution’s a goofy fun time, Annihilation’s an intense time. Either way whatever wins there will be good times… and “always time for lubricant” xD

Panda Animation

Simone is going to cry her eyes out if AI wins 😭 can I recommend The Bicentennial Man for next Sci-Fi poll? Is one of my favorites

Tony Wirt

I never really thought about it, but I guess Real Steel would count as SciFi.

The Gunslinger

Evolution is great fun. Another sci-fi movie you should check out is Oblivion. A very underrated film with Tom Cruise.

dudewheresmycar

Annihilation might be the creepiest unsettling thing you'll ever see. Especially that one scene. Those who have seen it know exactly what I mean.

robodong

in what world would Real Steel NOT be counted as sci fi? lol

pinkdino99

Have you watched his other film - Men ?

Random Nevermind

Two sci-fis for the next poll (please): Limitless Dark City

GnolRevilo

Annihilation is so damn good!

David Strait

The Riddick saga starts with Pitch Black.Very excellent.

Tony Wirt

That’s true. In my brain it was always Sports Movie first, Sci Fi second

Awesome80s

If you ever go Brazil, watch the long version (director's cut)

Random Nevermind

Seems I am the only one who thinks that Annihilation is not that good after all. I mean not bad. But not THAT good.

Kameron Webb

Annihilation is my favorite out of all these movies. I hope it wins!

Zhivko Yakimov

“Annihilation” is an odd one for me, as it stands well on its own, but it is a terrible adaption of the book, in my opinion. It is similar to “Stalker” and “Roadside Picnic”, I would say. So if you want to read the books (it is the first book of a trilogy), do yourself a favour and do so after seeing the film, not before.

John W Foster

Speaking of creepiest scene you'll ever see - my son still only refers to that movie by that scene. It is the creepiest thing either of us have ever seen in a theater.

Raymond DeGraw

Looking forward to seeing your upcoming reactions... I hope for these in the near future. 1. The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) 2. R.E.D. 3. Fallen 4. Deep Blue Sea 5. Secondhand Lions

probablyKoi

I remember hearing it was an adaptation but I've only seen the film. Cool to know there's more though.

Kevin Ehle

First poll where I've not seen any of the movies. I won't vote and will rely on my subscriber friends to pick the best of these movies. I will watch the reactions and learn something.

DanielK

I thought it was pretty boring too

Smooticus

i'm right there with you. I thought it was good, but not great. Brazil is definitely better - imho

DemNikoArt

Good list! Although I must admit I find Pitch Black a bit overrated XD Here are some more sci-fi suggestions: - looper (Time travel themed sci-fi from Rian Johnson, with Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon Levitt) - Super 8 (J.J. Abrams' homage to 80s Spielbergian sci-fi) - Chronicle (found footage super hero film with Dane DeHaan & Michael B. Jordan) - Love and Monsters (Fantasy comedy about a guy's trip through a post apocalyptic USA) - Hollowman (About a guy who becomes invisible) With Kevin Bacon, Josh Brolin and Elizabeth Shue Okay, bye :-)

FranciscoGios

I had a dream dream you guys watched Pitch Black, because it's sequel is freaking AWESOME!!

ShōNuff3K

Come on annihilation second place. 🤞🏾

Mastervodo

Monte Cristo! Bebeh Henry Cavill!

streetduck

About Time for the next sci-fi poll (or romcom poll)

Zero Cochrane

“You’re not afraid of the dark are you?”

maikeru

Brazil 😢

Bmac Tattoo

Prometheus is a really good sci-fi movie.

AVATAR-X

Both of these are great choices. I would like to mention that Limitless is followed by a fun, 22-episode series that expands on the concept started by the movie.

Garin

Annihilation and Pitch Black! Let's go!!!!

Garin

Oooh good list. +1 to all of these. Chronicle and Looper would be really fun.

maikeru

Men (2022) is a great one, for many reasons. It‘s the mother of "wtf is going on" mystery films therefor it‘s a perfect film for reactions. But even if one doesn‘t like the film for whatever reasons, it‘s very well made from the filmmaking srandpoint, like DOP, playing with sounds, symbolisms, last but not least acting and there is a message which is cool and yes there are also awesome creepy scenes^^

probablyKoi

Oh wow, I loved that! One of the things that keeps filling me with national pride is how many great directors and actors we produce in the UK. I love his justification of the approach to it, even if not everybody was a fan of the changes in the end.

China Andronicus

The Count of Monte Cristo is so damn good. Amazing cast.

jmundt33a

I’ll have to keep bringing up Source Code for as long as it takes.

JohnB

Oh man! There is no way it would win, but I had to vote for Real Steel. I'm an extra in it and am in a scene with Hugh Jackman.

Dakota

I've got a few recommendations Looper starring Bruce Willis - Scifi Noises Off starring Michael Caine, John Ritter, Carol Burnett, Christopher Reeve - Comedy Hudson Hawk starring Bruce Willis - Comedy Haunted Honeymoon starring Gene Wilder - Comedy Murder By Death starring Peter Sellers - Comedy

Kaushik Sethunath

Annihilation is an absolute experience that needs to be had! Especially THAT scene! Few are as good as Alex Garland when it comes to creating a mood and atmosphere!

cincassette

Most of these are decent, if a bit generic as far as sci-fi goes... certainly no Blade Runner. Brazil, though, is the clear outstander for me.

maikeru

@Zhivko Usually it‘s recommened to read a book before watching its cinematic adaptation so that the film doesn‘t dilute your own imagination during the read.

Jeff K.

Same for me. Kept hearing all of the hype, so I was on a flight where it was available to watch and gave it a go and... it was fine? I can safely say that it just didn't do it for me, really.

Jeff Barnes

It's finally happened. I haven't heard of ANY of these.

jmundt33a

Enthusiastic yes to Looper and Noises Off! Cast for Noises also includes Denholm Elliot (last role), Nicolette Sheridan, and Julie Hagerty.

jmundt33a

Richard Curtis’ second or third best film and a personal favorite. Also like to throw in Imagine Me & You. Have they done Notting Hill?

jmundt33a

It is. And I love that version of Mercedes! Let’s get Monte Cristo on the watchlist.

Sean

After Yang

Kameron Webb

They did that recently with the Alien series. Check YouTube for it :)

DonkyDave

hope Annihilation wins but I love all sci fi

Jacob King

All of these are good. I’m fully in favour of Pitch Black winning but A.I definitely needs a reaction at some point. A Kubrick/Spielberg collaboration that is almost transcendent.

ShōNuff3K

Annihilation is cosmic horror.

Victor L.

Brazil is VISIONARY...can't wait! (And it has Frodo Baggins!)

Luca Kelly

Won’t win but Brazil is unbelievably brilliant

Jacob King

A flight is possibly the worst way to experience that sort of movie though? Not saying you should like it but watching movies on planes is worse than watching them on your phone. It’s like saying, i kept hearing the hype about that new pizza place and then my roommate left a slice in the fridge so I thought I’d give it a go.

sagesaria

Fingers crossed for Pitch Black! I will say though, I wouldn't personally recommend the rest of the Riddick series. Pitch Black is kind of in its own category and has its own scifi cheesiness in places, but its character and horror stuff is REALLY good.

Dirge Girl

Annihilation = The Colour Out of Space by Lovecraft. Very cool Cosmic Horror vibes.

JOEDATOR

BRAZIL is simply one of the best films ever made.

Bmac Tattoo

Thanks, I considered searching if they had done it already.... But didn't. Hindsight is 20/20. 😁

Duncan

As was suggested in the American Beauty comments, ''K-PAX (2001)'' staring Kevin Spacey, would make for an incredible Sci Fi reaction

Deserana12

I know it’s TV but a surprise drop of Andor Season 1 would be a lovely Easter surprise ;)

Patrick

Honestly, all really good picks. I adore Annihilation(I have a huge print by T.Hanuka right behind me), Evolution is a great lazy Sunday afternoon flick and Source Code is brilliant too.

Daniel Smith

Every one is a banger! Lots of variety in that poll. From a personal point of view, Real Steel has a special place in my heart as it provided an amazing experience watching it with my son.

Daniel Smith

Had an amazing experience watching it with my son who got up caught in the film in a way that no other film has come close in matching.

Paul Mix

Yes, Brazil is one of those movies where the original theatrical release was SEVERELY compromised by studio interference (Terry Gilliam's cut makes it a completely different and vastly better film).

Paul Mix

+1 on Dark City.

cincassette

After Yang is so beautifully shot! Kogonada’s other film Columbus is also one of my favourite tone-driven movies.

Wormtongue

You should consider Top Secret and The Doors with Val Kilmer. Top Secret was his first movie… and by the same people who made Naked Gun. In both movies Val Kilmer sings and does it really well imo.

Michael Johnson

Brazil!! Should do all Terry Gilliam movies. I remember watching that and Naked Lunch back-to-back. Fun night 😁

Liam Nissan

Still hoping to see the other Bad Boys movies (especially since you straight up said that BB1 was basically a prerequisite for Bad Boys 2 and onwards).. Crank 2 would also be really cool..

Helly R

Cube is also Canadian

Tom Hess

I know it's going to lose because no-one knows about this film, but Source Code is ridiculously underrated. @George or Simone: any way you could add Oblivion (2013) to the poll? Very good Tom Cruise sci-fi film.

Maiki

+1 Equilibrium

Michael Buhl

It looks like Brazil isn't going to win this poll, but you really need to watch it at some point. It's superb!

Ideal_Optimist

Annihilation is a one of the few horror movies that actually does cosmic horror right. It's amazing.

Amar

Tim T—

Brazil on a poll! It's an Easter miracle! (Apropos Easter: Because of today's news I'd recommend Conclave (2024) for a future poll.)

Tim T—

And Robert de Niro in his best role!

Mintea

What you are suggesting is democracy of the worst kind. People should not have more power and influence simply because they can pay more.

Galactic Cannibl

I'm not sure how well they'll do for the channel but I enjoyed them myself

Daniel

Brazil is one of my favorite movies. I regularly need to rewatch it. It's one of those that get slept on by many reactors and I don't really understand why. It's a perfect showcase of Terry Gilliam's unique style.

Chase Schleich

There's another channel I watch that does that. They have 2 or 3 patrons that pay a lot and get to choose a weekly video. People hate it (mostly because their choices suck 95% of the time)

Adam Vialpando

Oh yeah, Pitch Black. IMO this role is the one that best utilizes Vin Diesel's strengths. Most of his other performances have become memes, this one is absolutely perfect for him. Nice to see Real Steel, or Robot Rocky as I call it, getting some notice.

Tim Boxall

I've never seen Brazil win any of these polls (and I follow a few similar reaction channels). However, I shall live in hope, no matter how achingly slim the chances. Perhaps it'll make it before the dawn of a new century.

Dylan Thomas

Totally with you on dark city and the cube neither is really a poll winner type movie but both are so unique and interesting from a film making perspective they deserve to be seen by reactors like G&S who will appreciate the aesthetics and ingenuity that went in to both films.

Amar

Yes it is the reason why U.K had Brexit and Trump in charge of the U.S. Now both countries are struggling. The poor got told they would get higher benefits and they voted for it. BTW those benefits have been reduced!!

Adam Vialpando

I love it because I'm not sure if I should be horrified or fascinated.

Villa Lobos

Add Short Circut to any Sci-fi, 80s, or comedy polls in the future please.

Adam Vialpando

I used to love the animated show. Funny enough I watched the show first and then found out there was a movie.

Amar

Yes there are a few but they are smaller than Cine so i understand why they don't do it. Would be a nice perk for us loyal patrons.

Adam Vialpando

Chronicles went totally bonkers with the world building and while it's so absolutely nuts I still love how they didn't just try to make the same film again. Plus it gave us two awesome video games. Riddick is a return to form and, while not as good as the original, is still a well-made film with enough differences to make it stand out.

Kinokind

Oh, yes, the director's cut of "Brazil", please! Then you can read about director Gilliam's battle with the studio over whether it should be released in America.

Adam Vialpando

I love each of the Riddick series in its own way. Like I love how absolutely nuts Chronicles was.

Adam Vialpando

The making of AI is probably more interesting than the film itself. Learning about which parts of the film were Kubrick and which were Spielberg is very fun.

Adam Vialpando

Wait seriously? I can understand not seeing any of them, but not hearing about any of them? That's kinda awesome.

Adam Vialpando

I didn't even know Source Code had fans.

Adam Vialpando

The sequel is not quite as good but still amazing. And while the 3rd one might be an overall better film, I think the 2nd one is much more interesting because of how insane the whole thing is. Like the makers were on coke when they wrote it (I mean that in the best way). Plus it gave us two awesome video games.

Gary Kuhre

Maximum Overdrive for a funny wild ride

Alexrandom

I'll never not vote for A.I. or almost any other Spielberg's for that matter 🙂

Chase Lonnergan

DC of Pitch Black is best. It adds context to certain decisions made in the movie that don't make a lot of sense in the Theatrical release.

Alexrandom

For sure ! I'm not as much a Kubrick fan even though some of his films are among my favourites 🙂

Jay Davis

After having just voted for Brazil, A.I. and Evolution, I'm marginally concerned about my own mental stability now.

Tyler Foster

I don't have a problem with Pitch Black but it is disheartening to see it beating Brazil, especially since I think it's mostly that far more people have seen Pitch Black.

Tyler Foster

That said, I recall Simone and George loving 12 Monkeys and so I hope that just knowing it's another sci-fi, and and even better one, by Terry Gilliam, will help get it enough chances to make it to the channel eventually.

Bob Steger

Voted for Pitch Black. However, seeing how many people are talking about Brazil, I think I have to watch it and see what all the excitement is about.

Farbod

Pitch Black is great for reactions. Solid choice.

JohnB

When reading a synopsis of the movie it really doesn't sound like it's going to be good. I'm a little biased but I thought it was a pretty good movie. I generally describe it as being like the movie Over the Top, but replace arm wrestling with robot boxing. But, that normally only helps people 50 and over.

Richard Powers Hardt

Brazil is the best of these in terms of film making. Amazing film.

sarCC

I really wanted to like it and thought it was going somewhere really interesting. And then it had one of the stupidest endings of all-time. The dumbest solution in a story parading as "high sci-fi."

John

Hello Amar, respectfully as it relates to the United States. I do not believe you are correct, particularly as you describe “the poor” and democracy. The worst type of Democracy is mob rule (see lynch mobs) this was beautifully depicted in To Kill A Mockingbird. I would be happy to converse more on this via direct message to limit political discussions in this apolitical space. Thanks and have a good day

Michael L.

Brazil and Annihilation are two of my favourite films of all time, so here's hoping to see them at some point at least.

Michael L.

One of the best modern sci-fi films period.

Steven Cavanagh

Should have had Event Horizon on the list, they'd love that one

Amar

I would happily speak with you on political issues if you want to send me a direct message as i don't know how too. I am not a rich person at all so when i say the poor get negatively influenced by politicians more than the rich or even the middle class i come from a place of understanding. Education is the issue but they will always just blame immigrants.

Young Blood Priest

I almost thought the first choice on the poll was Boys from Brazil and got a little weirded out. 😂 I need to leave the edibles alone.

Robinson vs. Parkinson's

I've been off my game when it comes to recommendations lately, so here's a few: LONGLEGS :Amazing horror film that really profits from Nick Cage being able to...Nick Cage. MAJOR LEAGUE: One of the best Baseball comedies you could ask for. Charlie Sheen, Wesley Snipes, and Tom Berringer and many other familiar faces star. VANILLA SKY and/or OBLIVION: Two great films starring Tom Cruise that are really underrated. LEGENDS OF THE FALL and/or LAST OF THE MOHICANS: Two of my all-time favorites. These two definitely had two hands in making me become a true cinefile. FURIOSA: This is coming up to finish off the Mad Max movies right?...RIGHT? Seriously though, no idea why this didn't do better at the box-office but I really liked it. Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth were great.

Luca Villanti

Annihilation and Pitch Black being on the same poll is torture for me

Dan Holmes

how tf is pitch black beating any of these lol -_- Annihilation is one of the best films made in the last 20 years

Jasbro

Hopefully they dont just watch Pitch Black as the sequels are great as well, assuming ofc it wins.

robodong

so what happened to your "comedy always wins" theory/complaint? didnt happen last week, and not happening this week either. but next time it does happen you'll come out and say "it happens every time" right?

Alexander Kirichenko

have a poll for classy sci-fi flicks, something that isn't action heavy, but enjoyable. Brazil would fall in that category, Terry Gilliam movies in general, and I want more people to see this movie.

Shane Darcy

Kindly suggesting ‘Infinity Pool’ for future sci-fi polls

Rob

Annihilation is really underrated, glad to see it getting so much love.

Jeff Norwood-Brown

Oh you’ll love Brazil. Please give it a watch or I’ll nag you like I did with Paul (and you liked that film!)x

jmundt33a

Flight of the navigator is excellent.

rictus grin

hard choice between the classic Brazil, and the interesting Annihilation

jmundt33a

Real Genius is a must.

Michael

I voted for both.

Cam

Pitch Black winning over Annihilation is a disgrace.

Brandon Meng

Although they'd be a stretch to fit this poll's category, I'd have loved to see About Time or Midnight in Paris here. Essential Rachel McAdams films with very unique takes on time travel. Other noms for the week: Perks of Being a Wallflower Manchester by the Sea Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri Sideways The Royal Tenenbaums

Steve Mercier

You put Brazil on a poll, I vote for Brazil. Many people have died this way, unfortunately. But, still...one of my all-time favorites!

Mike FromOz

Brazil, much like "The Death of Stalin", will just need to become an eventual pick by G&S. Not enough people know of it to vote for it. As for this poll, I am down for any of them. "Pitch Black" was filmed in Australia, so see if you can pick out some of the Australian references made in the film.

Blqbrd

Fuuuck please do Annihilation at some point if it doesn’t win here

FranciscoGios

I know the first was made good, but for me the Chronicles is always my favorite.

windyWin

A little gutted that Dark City isn't on this but I guess it will appear at some point on a list. I'm liking the selection anyway.

beefjerkywizard

It's been up a couple of times in the past. It would be a fun watch

maikeru

they usually/often times watch the 2nd place

maikeru

Watching Osment acting in that movie is fucking entertaining! He‘s so good.

Maarten Martens

Did not expect Source Code to score so low, I love that film. But the other options are great too, so either way I'm happy with whatever comes first.

William Adderholdt

Right. I understand that the polling reflects how many of the audience have already seen the movie, and that for a reaction channel, watching well-known movies is better because you have a large audience that wants to see Simone and George react to their favorite movie moments. "Brazil," however, is a masterpiece of cinema that wasn't a Hollywood blockbuster but that evolved into a cult classic.

BellaBlue

Figured between the top 2 vote getters before I voted...I only voted for Annihilation in hopes it would win...I loved the novel and they did such a great job w the film.

BellaBlue

Requests for your consideration: - Companion (2025) - The Menu (2022) - The Theory of Everything (2014) - The Sweet East (2023) - Priscilla (2023) - Where the Crawdads Sing (2022) - The Whale (2022) - Thoroughbreds (2017)

Morion Williams

Evolution is really funny, and be even funnier watching simone react to all the spiders, A.I.I is a really good heartfelt movie, definitely gonna make simone cry and pitch black is a good action adventure movie that quickly become a cult classic and spawned 2 sequels with a third coming out in the near future.

Muir Lyman

IMO, Source Code is massively under-discussed in great sci-fi of the 21st century.

Dimitri

Pitch black is pretty great but Annihilation is such an underrated movie. It really is unfortunate that so few people saw it.

maikeru

the whale is depressing :/

JoeE

Would also recommend ed wood, sci fi adjacent

jay

Would love to see more Wes Anderson on here.

Brendan Rafferty

What a strange obsession you have. Do I know you? Nope. Also reading is fundamental. I never said comedy always wins. I predicted (wrongly) that a comedy would win the last poll because there was only one comedy in the whole poll and assumed that the dramas would split the vote. My prediction was wrong. Weird that you decided to take that personally and felt the need to write a “gotcha” comment with a snide personal insult to me. Bravo little man. You sure showed me.

Cinebinge

Hi Brendan, while we understand tension may run high in discussions in the comments, writing a direct insult then immediately deleting it in the hopes that the other person gets the email does not negate the breach of our rule, and since you have been warned about this before, we will now issue a permanent ban on your account.

Shawn B

AI is the only one I remember

Max Carter

Oh wow a Brazil reaction would be amazing, I absolutely love that film

Mike FromOz

Have Cinebinge had a "Cult Movie" poll? Could put Brazil, Dark City etc on it. Maybe even 'Rocky Horror Picture Show', as it is Sci-Fi...

Jacob King

The book is much better. I haven’t actually gone back to Annihilation since watching the disappointing Civil War. I think Alex Garland is probably overrated - an excellent visual stylist - but I’m not sure he’s got much to say.

BellaBlue

yes but also well made, wonderfully acted, and an excellent film

Adam K

Okay - these are some depressing suggestions, but I will echo Three Billboards. I feel like it’s almost a forgotten movie but so wonderfully done.

Tinfoilnation

Naw Naw Meh OMG FINALLY! YES! (click!) AND IT'S WINNING! Woot! Don't forget your menthol Kools, you're gonna need 'em.

cincassette

Great Idea! 'Being John Malkovic' would be a nice addition too. I don't know If they'd ever do "The Room" as it ventures more into the 'cinecringe' category, but it would certainly be a fun reaction. A double-feature with 'The Disaster Artist' would be great too.

maikeru

🤤🍫

jmundt33a

They did Dark City, didn’t they?

Opti_Frog

Probably the best movie Tim Burton made.

Opti_Frog

A.I. continues to be Spielberg's most underrated and misunderstood film. An absolute masterpiece, imo.

Carl Noraas

Concur! A.I. has aged very well as a Spielberg film imo. I think they’d really enjoy it.

Angzarr

Oh, I'm so here for Buckaroo Banzai, Being John Malkovich, and Brazil.

GAB

Didn't Spielberg basically take it over as a project that Stanley Kubrick didn't complete because of his death? As an adaptation of Brian Aldiss's "Supertoys" stories, it definitely includes homages to Kubrick's directing style.

Actuarial Lurker

Never saw any of these films and only even heard of AI and Brazil

Shadows of Archonia

Since everyone's complaining about their favorites doing poorly, here's mine: Brazil is a cinema classic that should be absolutely destroying the rest of this list as required viewing.

Opti_Frog

GAB, the backstory is a little more involved than that. Kubrick wanted Spielberg to direct while he himself would produce because he didn't think he could deal with the technical and VFX aspect. But Spielberg was convinced Kubrick should remain as director. In the mid 90s, legendary special effects maestro Dennis Muren told Kubrick that VFX was not yet up to the task of realising his vision for 'Supertoys' so Kubrick made Eyes Wide Shut instead. He died three days after finishing editing. Spielberg then decided to realise his friend's vision. There is much less Spielberg in A.I. than people think. Even the [SPOILER] cameo, seen by many as Spielberg's worst impulse, was recorded by Kubrick before his passing.

jay

Unrelated, but I hope to see a horror poll soon. Gonna toss in a recommendation I threw in here earlier, I can't see it winning any polls so I hope in the future it gets done, "A Haunted House", a Paranormal Activity parody. Would also love to see more of those in the future, and also would be even better if Simone got the heart rate monitor to work better by then 🤣

jay

Was really hoping to see A.I. win just because I always love hearing George's takes on AI. Would've loved to see either that or Brazil win.

The Maestro

you should watch Event Horizon, that's a crazy one

Blqbrd

that’s what I’m banking on and praying brazil doesn’t catch up before tomorrow 🤞🏿

Brandon Meng

@jay All the Wes Anderson films. I feel like TRT is his next most popular and I love it, but I might prefer Moonrise Kingdom. Unsure. Lots of fantastic films in the Wes Anderson catalog though. @Adam K Depressing films are my favorite for whatever reason. I don't think there's anything more depressing than Manchester by the Sea, but each of these films I've recommended have seriously depressing moments, Three Billboards definitely not an exception.

Brandon Meng

also have to recommend the matrix reloaded as you've only watched the first one in the series... people hate, but i love it and the action is *chef's kiss*

CarolynK

So stoked to see Brazil on the list!!!

Tyler Foster

I like all of the Matrix sequels to some degree.

Kris

Annihilation is one of the few movies that's ever left me sitting in the theater at the end thinking "holy crap, that was an excellent movie". Can't recommend it enough. Also a sneaky all female-led cast.

rictus grin

pitch black is worth the watch the sequels though oof

erosennin

I think this is the first time ever that a movie I voted for is leading :D yay

Amelie W

Some opinions: Source Code is maybe the best movie to watch if you're not sure if you have seen it before. Pitch Black is a tremendous movie, yet, though a lot of purists will disagree, it's not as good as later Riddick movies. Annihiliation is an absolutely unforgettable story, the varying narratives presented by the book and the movie adaptation and then the three sequels to the book and the game Control and the song Helplessly Hoping by Crosby, Stills and Nash weaving into each other in a way that I'm still struggling to even understand after years of work and making a terrible novel new form of horror, what the genres call "new weird." But, to be clear, the movie is amazing on its own.

Shibby

I think Chronicles of Riddick has a weak story but its worth watching for the Necromongers and their whole aesthetic.

Lee Fernee

Would love to see you 2 react to dead man's shoes.

Jean-Dominic Lapointe

Have you guys seen Equilibrium? A somewhat unknown Christian Bale early performance. Looks like a generic action/SciFi but a gem to be discovered

Maiki

I know Simone has seen it, but I'd still love to see a reaction to the 1973 Disney Robin Hood. a) George has to watch it one day, because for me it's the best Disney movie of all time and he therefore deserves that experience and b) it would be awesome to see Simone rewatching it.

Dirge Girl

· John Dies at the End (2012) [Sci-fi/Horror] · Buckaroo Banzai (1984) [Sci-fi/Action] · Event Horizon (1997) [Sci-fi/Horror] · Close Encounters (1977) [Sci-fi/Adventure] · Y2K (2024) [Sci-fi/Comedy] · Dark City (Director's Cut) (1998) [Sci-fi/Noir Thriller] · Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1977) [Sci-fi/Horror] Cheers!

Vincent

Agreed. I wish a separate movie was made about the Necomongers & the Underverse.

Mycenaeus

Forbidden Planet, Dark Star, The Time Machine, and The Black Hole should be on your Scifi list.

nossieboy

These are great choices. Much love for Forbidden Planet.

windyWin

Nah they haven't.

Dirge Girl

Damn it, was travelling without access to my emails and missed voting for Evolution in this poll. Oh well, next time.

You, Me, and the Movies just reacted to that earlier this month.

I just watched You, Me, and the Movies' reaction to this, not as good as George and Simone's reaction would have been. I found YMM's reactions very wooden. The great thing about George and Simone is they're really expressive; they laugh, they cry, they scream. YMM; not so much. Not to disparage other reactors on YouTube, but at the end of the day there's a reason Cinebinge is the only reaction channel I support on Patreon.

Hope Annihilation still gets a runner up watch next week 🤞🏿

Two movies to put in one of your polls... RED (Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, and other greats) mentioned this before.. and I see you haven't done Excaliber.. best King Arthur move bar none.
