I remember when a chef YouTuber watched these episodes roasted the hell out of Erina. She made the most basic and boring dish for breakfast, anyone can make eggs Benedict and Her trying to present as the high elite is hilarious

A question for the forum: What is the piece of kitchen equipment that changed the game for you at home? For me, it was a stove with a griddle that actually heats evenly.

Opti_Frog

And there it is, Erina on her throne, just like she sits on the top shelf of my anime figurine collection. Still, Alice is the best ☺️

Really tried to get into this anime stuff, just can't.

rice/pressure cooker + wok many spatulas. all different kinds.

A good chef's knife and a whet stone. All the other gadgets are just gimmicks really. Personal opinion, nothing against kitchen gadgets I have just usually found there use not worth the extra effort, cleaning etc.

Sexy Karē, the lyrics of the ending song, are kind of a pun. Karē means curry, but it’s also slang or shortend form for "boyfriend".

I don't know the reasoning as to why, but when an anime's season is more than 13 episodes, they change the opening and ending at some point (usually midway) through for some odd reason. So it wasn't really that it was 2 seasons, they just change things up for some reason even though production was continuous for all the episodes. In my experience, you'll notice it in most shows with more than 13 episodes a season.

Opti_Frog

Not that it really has anything to do with your point, but most of my favourite anime are shows with 13 episodes.

Zeryn

Usually the case for me too. The smaller shows don't waste time in most cases unless they do one of those unnecessary, garbage recap episodes. The stuff I watch, even if it has like 24 episodes a season, also usually only gets 1-3 seasons. So I totally understand liking the smaller shows more. They are usually more fun and respect your time better.

I'm with s0rd3z, sharp knives change your life in the kitchen. They make everything easier. One gadget I truly enjoy is my stick blender. such a handy little tool, soups, sauces, salsa, guac, slushies, veggies, and so much more! Call now!

Just the induction stove, you would not believe how much of a rarity it still is. (Also moved recently, I have to re-fit or buy a new one)

13 weeks is a season; that’s the only reason. Anime seasons are divided into literal seasons—winter, spring, summer, and winter—and anime studios get their contracts per season. That’s also how TV studios set up their time slots. That’s why it’s highly unusual for an anime to get 11, 14, or 17 episodes, because it messes with the TV slot. If you’re going to need more than 13 episodes, you have to order two seasons, because all the staff, directors, and so on work within a seasonal timeframe as well. Some of them might have different commitments on different shows, etc. thats why almost every season gets a separate production. When studios get their contracts for two seasons back to back, instead of labeling them as separate seasons, they might label them as cours. In Shokugeki no Soma’s case, in japanese version all the “seasons” are labeled as cours 1–2–3 etc.
