George, to answer your fallout 76 question. Is it good? That my friend is up to you. Does it work? Honestly, probably better than most fallout games (without mod patches that is). Fair warning, it is a live service game, so expect some mmo kinda stuff (both good and bad). As far as my opinion... I have 677 hours in it and a level 250 character, so it's safe to say I enjoy it. I haven't touched the newest area though, so I can't speak to that content. What I like - The perk build system, random events, atmosphere, seeing other players in the world (usually at the random events) What I don't like - that it's a live service game, so they have to pay for servers with the usual mix of live service BS (mtx, monthly subs - specifically the stash box)

Maybe it’s wishful thinking, but if you continue to take Star Trek breaks, I would love to see you react to other smaller one season shows that may not win a poll. - The new Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is great. - Queen’s Gambit hasn’t won a poll but it’s a great short show. - The Pacific is a follow up to Band Of Brothers and focuses on the war in the Pacific. There are more and I’m sure others have great suggestions too.

The two sets of characters were on opposite sides of the screen, so I felt like it had to be done.

Just gotta reiterate although I'm pretty sure I messaged them long ago: you *must* watch the Twin Peaks stuff in the order it was made. Much of the movie takes place before the series but it was written with the belief that the audience will have already seen it, so not only does it give things away, half of it also won't make any sense. The only order it should be viewed for the first time is S1, S2, the movie Fire Walk With Me, and then The Return/S3.

They've confirmed that the show will not give canon endings to the games. They want to leave everything open so the audience can imagine it as a follow up to their own playthroughs

Vault 31 were never executives they are executive assistants aka secretaries it took me till s2 ep 1 to realize it. Making a bunch of overseers from secretaries is the most vault tech thing ever.

With you guys not really knowing Kumail: could not more highly recommend his movie The Big Sick, which is based on his real life love story with his wife. Great film. He and his wife, Emily Gordon, wrote the script and were nominated for an Oscar for best original screenplay.

I do like Fallout and i'm enjoying the reactions, but because i'm not a big fan of the games I think the show is just ... fine. I'm actually more excited to see amazons take on Tomb Raider.

Hey George, the show takes place about 15 years after the events of New Vegas which are canonical to the show. Simone is going to get spoiled just by watching anyway, so if she has questions about if something is from the game, might as well just tell her. hope you both enjoy the season. Super fun reaction.

George & Simone, I think you'll get your Walton Goggins fix and then some if you were to watch 'Justified'. He's practically the co-lead with Timothy Olyphant. A U.S. Marshall and a criminal equally matched in wits. IMO it's definitely worth considering down the line once you've finished The Sopranos.

George. During the recap you said you needed to watch more stuff With Goggins in it. Well I joined patreon 6 months ago just to be able to FINALLY suggest you guys watch The Shield. It is Walton's breakout role and an Insanely GREAT show. Would be something awesome to pick up after The Soprano's as it started during the Sopranos Last season and ended during Breaking Bad's first. It's up there with both of those shows and The Wire.

Gotta go with the classic "I don't want to set the world on fire." - Inkspots, really hits best when wandering the wasteland. Some of the outfits are definitly player character references, many of the costumes where also werable in the games. Lucy has a lone wanderer thing going since she got gear in season 1. I wonder if she will adapt more and more pieces. Yep, Hank is the worst, I'm with the Ghoul, not the golden rule on that.

I never played the fallout games, which do you recommend for starters? fallout 1? also, I'll probably play it on my ps5 (if there are any fallout games in the store) because I just have an old notebook which is good for being on the internet, watching videos etc. but not at all for big games (old or not) or any game really, I mean, the notebook crashed when I tried playing fall guys on it two years ago^^ since then I play it on the ps5

I expected the frozen guys to be older, like 50+.. former vaulttech executives and rich aholes shareholders from 200 years ago. instead of they seem to be more like 25-35 years old nerds. ok, there was one of the older ones, the guy who got his head blown away by hank.

I have yet to watch these so that was rad to first run it with George and SImone. Those first 2 eps are really solid. I wasn't sure what role Kumail was gonna have but swaggering Brotherhood liason from the Commonwealth is kinda dope. Excited for the next 4 weeks of Wednesdays.

I do really like this show but giving Jeff Bezos money is just making me more and more uncomfortable. First there's all the labor violations for Amazon employees like making them pee in bottles, then after he bought the Washington Post and Trump got re-elected he decided the editorial page needed to be all "America, fuck yeah", and just now laying off whole sections of the Washington Post journalism staff. We basically only have one newspaper in the entire USA left that has the resources to do deep investigative journalism worldwide and has not yet completely submitted to the Trump administration. I have a ton of problems with the New York Times, but they're kinda the only good source we have left for any kind of independent journalism that costs money.

Episode 1: "Cod Ham Cheese and Rice" is the *best*! Very funny. Ella Purnell is just a delightfully perky lead. I need to find an articulated figure/model of the power armor that isn't hundreds of dollars. I completely related to the 462311 unread messages as I have about 150,000 unread emails in my inbox. I hate email. It’s interesting watching this having absolutely no knowledge of the game other than playing a little bit of the first fallout game. Episode 2: Boston (and Pennsylvania, Kentucky and Virginia) are 4 states in the US that refer to themselves in one way or another, officially or otherwise, as a "commonwealths." That’s pretty insane for that vertibird to come flying *directly* into a hangar instead of landing outside and then rolling in after it’s powered down. Also, I need to find a model of a vertibird!

If you want to play fallout on your PS5, you are somewhat limited to Fallout 4 or Fallout 76. You can play 3 and New Vegas, but you have to have a Playstation Plus Premium Subscription. Additionally, I think some of the DLC's are missing as well.

I've never played the games. Are the games like this, they have technology but it almost has a late 50s early 60's look.

The games do look like this, the series has done an amazing job replicating the style. The Fallout universe is set in an alternate history branching off around the end of world war 2 where people focused on developing atomic energy over digital technology like microchips. That’s why you see insane tech like cold fusion next to ancient looking computers. From what I’ve read, it sounds like main reason that the 50s look is maintained is because the writers and artists wanted to explore what people would have imagined the future to be like back in the 50s. If you like the show you should definitely give the games a shot!

Yep, came here to say this. 'Justified' is a great show, and Walton Goggins is a big part of the reason why.
