Fun with Dick and Jane is such a good sleeper movie. Cookie cutter comedy on the surface but some cool subversive themes rattling around underneath.

sonic 2 was posted two weeks after sonic 1, now you want sonic 3 just a week after sonic 2^^. we're lucky, because they usually watch sequals months or years later, with the exeptions of some x-men and bond films

Years ago, before they started watching the 2nd Borat film, George said they wanted to watch Bruno but there seem to be a lot of frontal nudity and he didn't yet figure out how to edit around that. I hope we get to see a reaction to Bruno because IMO it is even crazier than Borat and the Dictator film, it's batshit crazy xD

Yeah...The Dictator is very funny, but Bruno...I am one of those that love it because it is so wildly transgressive. There are other people who hate it with a passion for the same reason. When people talk about what we've lost comedy-wise with our modern culture of cancel mobs and fear, Bruno immediately springs to mind.

Peter Jackson's King Kong is seriously great imo. There are a few weird scenes (Running with the dinosaurs just doesn't look good) but overall it's a really good version of the story. The Dictator is a wild movie, perhaps even more so than Borat and will definitely cause you guys to cringe a bit, hopefully in a good way. Can you guys put the UK version of Death at a Funeral on the next comedy poll? One of the most underrated comedies out there. Absolutely hilarious...do not watch the US version however

So just throwing something out: Swingers (1996) is celebrating its 30 year anniversary this year. It's the movie that made Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn famous, and for me, personally, it's *incredibly* meaningful in a lot of ways because it had a profound impact on me at the time, in large part because I've never related more to a movie character than I did (and still do) to Favreau's character in that film. I'm begging y'all, watch it at some point this year. Don't even bother putting it on a poll. Just watch it. It's a fantastic film. It's also the movie that put the director, Doug Liman (who went on to make movies like The Bourne Identity and Edge of Tomorrow) on the map.

I haven’t thought about The Dictator since it came out but I am curious if it was made as a joke that didn’t work. Like, at what point in attempting a satire do you just embrace the thing. Four Lions would be my rec for 2010s British satire.
