To be fair the creator of JJK said in an extra panel that if Jogo (volcano curse) had been hit by Itadori's 4 black flashes it would've killed him instantly. Hanami is just the tankiest of the disaster curses

Todo is a fun character! Aside from that I think Jujutsu is just not for me.. they do all the tropes I personally despise, all the time. Fun animations though.

So here’s how the power scaling works when you first start watching: Jogo: In Episode 5, Geto tells Jogo he estimates he's about 8-9 fingers strong. Jogo has the highest raw destructive power of the 3 disaster curses. Hanami: Hanami is tanky, stealthy, and fast, sitting at around 7 fingers, but lacks Jogo's explosive damage. Mahito: Remember Yuji and Nanami almost killed him a few episodes back and he just barely escaped? That's because he’s still a newborn curse, so he's only about 2 fingers strong right now. But he is smart , the smartest among the curses . He is not the leader everyone is working for Geto in some Capacity. The Rest: For context, most average Special Grade curses are only about 1-2 fingers. Your typical "strong" standard curse is barely 0.1 of a finger. These three are on a whole different level. As for the Principal you guys were talking about, his position is just administrative. He’s strong, but compared to Gojo, his power is completely irrelevant. Gojo is just the peak of the universe and technically has no upper limit. On a 1-100 scale: If say Jogo is a 10 A 20-fingered Sukuna is a 100 Gojo is also a 100 It sounds weird that Jogo is only a 10 even though he’s worth 9 fingers, but that's because Sukuna’s fingers scale exponentially, not linearly. 20 fingers isn't just double the strength of 9 fingers; it’s an astronomical jump. Plus, Sukuna’s actual combat efficiency and lethal skill make him vastly stronger than Jogo could ever dream of. So the finger count is a good baseline for raw energy, but JJK scaling gets way more complicated later because matchups, tactics, and domains matter more than just raw power. For now though, this is the best way to look at it.
