Time to mourn at red lobster and order french fries or what ever potatoes they serve

i think almost every reactor ive seen watch this show thought yelena was armin, it’s everyone’s “armin’s mom” moment

Kansas City Shuffler

There’s a famous French film by Jean Luc Godard called Contempt, most of which actually is a husband and a wife talking about the problems in their marriage. There is another movie, a very obscure Chinese movie called 有話好好說 (internationally, “Keep Cool”) which is also about a conflict between multiple sides of a dispute involving love, money, and pride—and more than half of that movie is two men debating at a dinner table. The curious thing about both movies is both sides talking is not what resolves the conflict in either movie. That is because, from ancient cultures to the Truth and Reconciliation commission in South Africa, resolution requires more than talking. It usually requires some sort of performance action to build the peace, or else it never lasts.

Reed James

Yeah, that's fair to mistake Yelena for Armin.

2026-10-28 11:00 I think is completely normal to care about one's own sibling even if they were raised by a parent that you disliked. If I found out about a secret brother that my dad fathered, and was under the assumption that he, like me, was mistreated or brainwashed, I would naturally feel sympathy towards him.

You two should have watched in English. It would have 10 times easier for you guys to keep up with the plot turns.

Just to make Sasha's death extra sad, the japanese word for meat kinda sound like Nick, so some fans speculate she was calling out for Niccolo when she died 😢

Reed James

Sasha's last word was Niko. It means meat, but it also could be a shortening of Nicolo, the chef whose food she loves.

Pieck's Titan voice is the aural equivalent of touching wet bread.

Have to second this sentiment. The reactions are great, but there are some plot points that slip by due to the nature of reading + reacting.

So sooo amazing to watch how the post-episode discussions have been shifting in tone and themes the longer the show goes on, we went from mostly theorizing and thinking about what comes next to mostly despair and opinions about where the characters come from and how fair or unfair their actions are in the context of the world. It's a recurring pattern for most AOT reactions I've watched.

Ian

You can't just kill someone that has titan powers and expect the titan to disappear, they've said in the show that it just gets passed down to an unborn Eldian (like if you kill the avatar)

Rainy Days

Im curious to know what was cut, after mentioning Daenarys from GoT, during the talk after 408...

You guys are having the typical male to female difference in reaction. They did a study to test the brain receptors and which emotions were felt when watching someone be hurt, both as punishment for their crimes and an innocent person. Both parties felt compassion for the innocent party. However, the women had empathy for everyone, including the guilty criminal, when witnessing them suffer. The men felt joy to watch the guilty suffer consequence. So makes total sense that Simone is focusing on the collateral damage and George is kind of reviling in them finally tasting their own medicine for once. hahaha

I promise you... it's Fuck Gabi til this day!!

Reaction and video on the subbed version was a little off. The reactions were coming sooner.

Anthony Villena

I never understood why Zeke discussed their entire plan and secrets in front of Falco and Gabi even though he knew they were enemy warrior candidate combatants.

Soob

I apologize, but this recommendation seems quite misguided. They already grasp sufficient detail.

It is one of a few things in the early part of this season that are confusing on first watch. The art style change from moving to a different studio, plus the time skip where our characters are 4 years older, plus it having been over a year for the audience since the previous season, made it harder to recognize existing characters and easy to confuse new characters for the ones we already knew.

parker469a

Anytime a decent amount of information is given they are missing two out of every three things they are being told. That is not "sufficient" especially since a lot of it isn't going to be repeated a second time. Before they started watching it I would have said to watch the Jp with sub but they are barely able to keep up with anything being said. I mean it's possible they would have the same problem with English but I think they would be keeping up a lot better, I'd hope at least. The really annoying thing about the English dub is they don't translate the little stories in between scenes like the "digger guy" is just left in Japanese with no translation which sucks.

I think the attack on Liberio is a fun little test to show how well we can separate emotions from logic, which is further reinforced by Falco and Gabi. So many of us feel vindicated by the scouts attacking and killing the Marleyans and feel like all their hatred and anger is justified. And the Marleyans felt the same way when they overthrew the Eldians and got their revenge. If we had started with a show about a group of people being oppressed for thousands of years and then they helped overthrow and defeat their oppressors and they punished severely, many would likely feel that same vindication. Gabi is the type of person to only see the suffering of those she knows and sees and reacts that way. Meanwhile Falco feels rage, but he also sees WHY his enemies are attacking and the pain they feel. This show really taps into those different sides of emotion and how someone can feel so justified doing heinous acts. I've seen many reactors wonder how the Marleyans can be so cruel and commit such devastation, but tend to justify and rationalize it more when our crew does it. Not to say some of it isn't justified since many in Marley seem to enjoy it more, but still it's a fine line.

Between this and jjk last Friday this is like the death week 😭

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK GABI! IDGAF, I hate her so much! Watching Sasha die still rips my heart out.

gfixler

Cinebitches... let's make a pact, that if we ever take control of a titan, we won't go to war with each other. It just leads to a life of misery.

SANAMDEEP

do u guys do polls for which anime is done next or do u guys just pick whichever on a list?

Mose

I've been waiting for this episode since George said "nothing better happen to Sasha."

Black Fox Loki

The death of Sasha represents the death of innocence/hope, and is the real turning point into the path the rest of the show is going to go. RIP Potato angel.. ,_,

Eh honesty most people never seem to understand that eldia shit on everyone for 1700 years then are upset that people hate them after they get defeated eleians are being mistreated 3-4 generations compared to the 80-90 generations of people from around the world. Other countries attacked them also it was stated war was declared in the first episode of the season. Eldians were probably seen as the enemy and if tybur have ruled Marley for a 100 yrs it probably makes sense that other nations attacked them because an eldian was still ruling then hid in the shadows. So if anything yeah Marley is in the wrong for usind eldians like trash in their wars but eldia pretty much are in a bad spot. George saying its satisfying that marleyans are dying because they started reality is eldia started, I font want yo say it but they remind me of the zionist because Hitler made a deal with zionist to make the zionist have jews as victims like willy was saying about the eldians in Marley. So honestly etens crew chose the path eren was a threat because peace was not maintained if he sat with maybe s shot of peace saying he won't start the rumbling but erens a hot headed wild card using emotions with power to kill millions

Kage Uzumaki

Sasha got karma she willing chose violence

Kage Uzumaki

All gabi haters are the same people who think your favorite characters are cool cuz they got payback and sad when they get killed
