TheLeftPecOfTheLord

Swiss Army Man! The movie that made me never see Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter again, supremely underrated and would make a great reaction. Undercover Brother also has some of my favourite one liners. Great picks!

Mike FromOz

UHF is a classic. Swiss Army Man affected me deeper than I expected, especially because of the subject matter of the film itself. I hope either one wins.

Will Knight

Still waiting for the day Hundreds of Beavers shows up on one of these

darkmoobs

One day Wet Hot American Summer will be on here and it will be the best day ever. Won’t win, but damnit is it a fantastic comedy.

Bernd

I almost forgot that Swiss Army Man is a real movie, not just a fever dream. That movie is nuts, but somehow really good.

Blake Evans

Swiss Army Man is such a hidden gem. Quirky, offensive, irreverent, and beautiful.

Alex

UHF!

James Wise Magic

I would love for them to reaction to the comedy Balls of Fury.

AlternativexXxHonk

Swiss Army Man Lets Go! Its Not Just a super Fun Comedy to Watch, its a fucking amazing Movie in General.

Chris B

I need to see Simone watch the Porno ;)

Lily

Two suggestions for future comedy polls: -Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. Based off your response to Black Dynamite, I think you two would also love the genre and history pastiche happening in it. Another case where the jokes are funny whether you know the references or not. -Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie: Must-watch Canadian viewing and arguably the funniest film of 2026. Picture the mutant lovechild of Scott Pilgrim and Jackass.

KIERON

Can't believe they've done an all female reboot of Little Nicky, smh

Rokkor X

Bridesmaids is one of my favorite comedies of all time.

Nico Colaleo

Come on UHF! Weird Al's classic comedy!!

Matthew Johnson

Wild to think they haven’t done Bridesmaids

beefjerkywizard

We need the movie that is askew to the View Askewniverse main timeline

ArcadeAndy

I was sure they had done Little Nicky for cinecringe way back in the day. I guess not.

Icarius

I was a huge fan of The State, but for some reason WHAS just fell flat for me 😕

Timothy

Yall really need to have better options and more polls, more frequently.

jmundt33a

More peak Denise Richards. But no Oscar? No Dream Team? No Whole Nine Yards? No She’s Out of My League? No Working Girl? But more importantly, Fallen gets shelved for possibly another year?

Chad Laurence

Ooo some hard choices. Zack and Miri, Bridesmaids, and Little Nicky.

Cc Decc

Ok, I dropped in a couple of votes here for pretty good comedies. But I think there are better still out there. Hopefully get these in some future polls: Back to School (1986) - Dangerfield Get Shorty (1995) - Everyone Mr. Right (2015) - Kendrick, Rockwell Kingpin (1996) - Farrely Brothers Major League (1989) The Replacements (2000) - Keanu Fletch (1985) - Chevy Chase Multiplicity (1996) - Michael Keaton The Girl Next Door (2004) Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008) Batman (1966) Van Wilder (2002) -- Reynolds Wet Hot American Summer (2001)

Brandi Davis

No one ever does Zack and Miri and I would love for that one to win!

Maiki

Working Girl would be amazing.

Mike FromOz

Back to school is an Iron Man prequel, and you cannot convince me otherwise.

Mesme Rize

You probably should do National Lampoons European Vacation, since you already did Vacation and Christmas Vacation.

Cc Decc

That's right -- forgot to add Whole Nine Yards to my little list.

Morgan Filbert

I'm holding out for Hudsucker Proxy. The only time the Coen Brothers ever worked with another director, and it was Sam Raimi!

Dauerempoerungskommentarspaltenkrachmacher

Swiss Army Man is a little gem (with flatulence); and surprisingly deep! Edit: And since the music was composed first and played on set during filming, it's technically a musical - just without the singing, dancing, and everything else that makes a musical what it is. Now that I think about it, it's not a musical at all, not even remotely. What the hell am I writing here?!

punterjoe

Admittedly my personal tastes are a bit more niche ...ok, fringe. Stuff like Eating Raoul and Drop Dead Gorgeous. But there are really no bad choices on this list IMO.

punterjoe

Yeah, Daniel Radcliffe's post Potter career has clearly shown that the guy has range - and an adventurous spirit!

JoeE

Would also recommend kingpin, some like it hot, observe and report, harvey

Jaaahn

their options come from patron suggestions. so suggest something rather than just complain. and how would having more polls help?

DonkyDave

No American Reunion? It's a shame you haven't finished off the series yet!

Joe Ralat

Who picks or suggest the movie for the polls. So many amazing comedies from the 80s and 90s overlooked

Timothy

People, including me, have left many comments with hundreds of different suggestions that clearly get bypassed for a handful they pick at a time. Yes more pills would be nice when there are less than 10 options a poll that seem to come out once in a blue moon.

marioaintsuper

"mart brother...am i going to die" is one i use to this day still haha

Kodiak Marmoset

I feel exactly the same way! Groups like The State and The Upright Citizens Brigade had a peculiar kind of synergy that fell flat when they tried to branch out.

Jaaahn

buddy poll choices are done by how many different people recommend the same thing not how many times one person spam something. secondly, once in a blue moon? the polls are once a week on Monday like clock work for literal years. but most importantly. just because you personally dont like whats on a poll, it doenst make them bad. youre not the arbiter of taste and of whats good or bad.

J

Normally I'd vote for Zack and Miri, but then you put UHF on here, so gotta vote for Al!

Daniel

Swiss Army Man is such a wild ride, sad to see it so far behind. I loved it!

Cc Decc

Movie polls are out every Monday Timothy. And the real constraint of course is that we could have as many polls as we want, but George & Simone wouldn't have time to watch them all. They're already pumping out content 7 days a week.

Jordan Hume

The Interview! That is a great comedy you guys haven't done yet.

funky weapon

pretty sure George pulls them from a spreadsheet where all the recommendations made over the years exist with a vote total for each one. each vote was basically a recommendation from a unique viewer. so if you spam the same recommendation every week then that's still 1 vote for the recommendation.

beefjerkywizard

I apologize in advance if I'm out of line here...

Jay

Come on guys! They should have watched UHF before Weird. So we gotta vote for it now. It could be months before its back on a poll. At least get it to second place.

Steve

Where’s the horror?

funky weapon

Little Nicky is not a good movie, but it is an important movie. it was the first time I had become aware of the fact that my family and I enjoyed really terrible movies. I endeavored to correct that by seeking out classics and becoming more seasoned as a viewer as a result. and still despite having seen so many great, perspective-changing films over the years, I still laugh at a [redacted] getting [redacted] up [redacted]'s [redacted].

Robinson vs. Parkinson's

In the spirit of today's poll, my weekly recommendations are: MAJOR LEAGUE and BULL DURHAM.

Koonce

The Faculty may be worth adding to a future poll.

Kevin Cormier

It definitely won't win, but Undercover Brother is a fun watch.

PureGonzo

Zach and Miri is the perfect reaction for this channel haha.

Icarius

Sam Raimi and the coens have been friends for decades and the Coens worked on Evil Dead, then they wrote Crimewave together.

theycallmekev

Even though I prefer watching their reactions when they’re both going in completely blind, Zack and Miri is such a classic that Simone absolutely needs to see it!

Gizmo_Mogwai_

Little Nicki is such a gem..hope it wins. But I've never seen UHF so casting my vote for that

Kevin

“I love you man” should be here

Ian West

Once you've been with Undercover Brother, there is no other.

JayF

The only one I could vote for here is UHF. Classic comedies - I Love You to Death (1990) - stacked cast that you would both love Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1998) - Steve Martin, Michael Caine Dave (1993) - political comedy that's aged very well Get Shorty (1995) - another very stacked cast Silver Streak (1976) - Richard Pryor, Gene Wilder Stir Crazy (1980) - Richard Pryor, Gene Wilder Every Which Way But Loose (1978) - a young(er) Clint Eastwood comedy

jmundt33a

From this list, Mr. Right, Get Shorty, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and Girl Next Door are awesome. I Love You, Beth Cooper was a missed opportunity because they shorted both the heart and the raunch, but Hayden gave an excellent performance. If you’re gonna talk about Girl Next Door, you have to mention the original. Risky Business.

Athenor

UHF is an awesome movie that had the unfortunate luck to open against Michael Keaton Batman

Max Carter

Some great films here. Swiss Army Man gets my vote, weird as hell but very funny. UHF is a classic, would definitely be keen to see that win too. Please could we get Death at a Funeral (UK version) on a comedy poll one day? It's unfortunately not that well known despite being absolutely hilarious with a great cast

Com1xguy

Out if all the great comedies that have been created for film, Little Nicky made it on this list? Someone must have sacrificed a goat.

John

Fallen is definitely worth watching and I also strongly support The Whole Nine Yards which has a Canada connection

Jaaahn

i have a suggestion; if a patron recommends a movie politely without any "wow i cant believe people are dumb enough to like a movie i personally dont like wow kids these days wow much sad" bullshit, then it gets higher score in your spreadsheet. and vice versa, lower the value of their recommendation if they insist on being an ass about other people liking different things. after all, if the only way someone can like something is to talk shit about other things, then how good can that something be?

John

1+ Kingpin, some great work by Bill Murray

Warmachine1228

Undercover Brother does satire on black culture in the US better than virtually any other movie including Black Dynamite.

Matt88g

UHF and Swiss army man let’s go

DR GONZO

wish people wouldn't vote for movies one of them have already seen kinda defeats the purpose

Jaaahn

its not as ideal as new to both but i wouldnt say it 'defeats the purpose'. Simone and George are two separate beings after all. so its still new to one of them.

John

Not comedies but additional baseball movies I would recommend Eight Men out (connected to Field of Dreams), The Natural (just a beautifully shot movie with a great cast), 42 (an important story and Chadwick Boseman performance)

Tyler Foster

I requested Wet Hot on another channel and rewatching it for the first time in years really made me hope it would turn up elsewhere. (I've been rooting for Hudsucker for years as well, along with Blood Simple, Miller's Crossing, The Man Who Wasn't There, and A Serious Man.)

John

1+ Mr. Right

John

1+ Dave, a movie I would definitely recommend with Kevin Kline and Sigourney Weaver in strong performances

Doug S.

My brother and I can almost quote Undercover Brother word for word, would love to see it win!

Dorsi

zack and miri!! gotta continue the kevin smith movies.

Scurvyville

So many great pop culture references in UHF that Simone and George would get now that they've seen so many films.

Scurvyville

Walk Hard is comedy gold.

Dan Holmes

And Indiana jones and the last crusade!

Dan Holmes

Embarrassing day for people who can’t enjoy Wet Hot

Dominique Cloet

Unfortunately a poll winner WHAS will never be. But keep singin’ it’s praises brother and maybe they’ll pick it on their own. I got your back.

Alexander Kirichenko

Let us F**CK! Let's go, wrap up askewniverse with tears, Clerks 3 made me ball like a baby

Daniel M

Need to add Strange Brew to this poll.

Daniel Smith

Not surprised that George has already seen Zac and Miri…..

Simone's Coconut Squire

Here to add to the chorus of people extolling Swiss Army Man. I know it sounds goofy, but it’s FAR deeper than you could ever imagine. Extraordinarily underrated.

Bill Woods

For next time: Down Periscope (1996), Kelsey Grammer takes on the nuclear Navy Operation Petticoat (1959), another submarine comedy -- Cary Grant and Tony Curtis in WW2 Ruthless People (1986), Judge Reinhold kidnaps Bette Midler Continental Divide (1981), John Belushi's rom-com

Cc Decc

+1 to Down Periscope. Such a breezy, unambitious comedy, and yet it flat does what a comedy is supposed to do -- makes you laugh.

pjfry

Fun with Dick and Jane

Daniel Smith

For me, it was Guns Akimbo that made me forget he was Potter.

Happy Hanukkah

And if this doesn't work, then stuff this poll and stuff this channel! :-)

Jeb Manning

These are some pretty good choices for comedies, but there are also some comedies I have to recommend for future polls: -Animal Crackers (1930) -Duck Soup (1933) -Hold That Ghost (1941) -Some Like It Hot (1959) -It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963) -The Great Race (1965) -What's Up, Doc? (1972) -The Kentucky Fried Movie (1977) -Scavenger Hunt (1979) -The Muppet Movie (1979) -Innerspace (1987) -Daffy Duck's Quackbusters (1988) -The 'Burbs (1989) -The Fisher King (1991) -Matinee (1993) -National Lampoon's Van Wilder (2002) -Beerfest (2006) -Superhero Movie (2008) -The Slammin' Salmon (2009) -The Lego Batman Movie (2017) -The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie (2024)

Ian West

+1 for Death At A Funeral. So funny it hurts, but very niche, very under the radar, very unlikely to get on a poll let alone win it.

Mike FromOz

"Ahh, I get the premise. This will hopefully be a funny, dumb movie to just pass the time." *40 minutes later* "WHY ARE YOU MAKING ME FEEL SO MANY THINGS!?! 😩"

Simone's Coconut Squire

“Let’s watch people get kicked in the crotch” … “Why did I get kicked in the crotch????😭

David Zabel

If UHF doesn’t win this poll, I’m gonna club this baby seal.

Russell Richardson

Omg Zack and Miri and Bridesmaids will make for a side splitting week of laughter🤣

idc

WHAS has to happen eventually. That and Walk Hard are my two top comedies they need to watch.

Brandon Meng

I'm so hyped for Zach and Miri. They need to do all of that era's comedies from Judd Apatow/Judd Apatow adjacent (acknowledging this is a Kevin Smith movie). Forgetting Sarah Marshall being the best of them all! But also: 50/50 I Love You, Man Walk Hard Sex Drive She's Out of My League Cheers!

Brien

You naughty boys and girls...(me included hehe) :-)

chief117

Has to be little nicky

Dowly

Airheads!

Jordan9663

Wallace & gromit the curse of the were rabbit

Steven Cavanagh

can I recommend. 1. Fallen, Denzel Washington. 2. Devil, five people stuck in an Elevator.

2026-10-29 01:00 More comedies: Johnny English (2003) (Rowan Atkinson in a James Bond spoof) Dracula: Dead an Loving It (1995) (Leslie Nielsen and Mel Brooks. But you should watch Bram Stokers Dracula (1992) first) Spy Hard (1996) (Leslie Nielsen in a spy spoof) The Pink Panther (1963)

+1 to Devil. Such a small claustrophobic B level conceit, but it worked well.

Kial O'C

Still waiting for Yes Man to be on one of these, seems like it's been a while since a Jim Carrey film was on here.

jmundt33a

John’s list is superb. Exceptionally weird to find out that Rachel Phelps was originally meant to be a Georgia Frontiere figure and not truly odious. They had to reshoot her reactions to the last game after the test audience reaction.

Holdenk

Holy crap! Every one of these is a banger

Happy Hanukkah

Damn, this really sucks. [Thonk!] I wish I had hands to defend myself. [Thonk!] Or at least a helmet. [Thonk!]

BellaBlue

Request for your consideration: Theme: Not enough creepy so far this October - Heretic (2024) - Buddy (2026) - Barbarian (2022) - Strange Darling (2024) - Longlegs (2024) - Late Night With The Devil (2023) - Bring Her Back (2025) - The Black Phone (2021)

FryLord

I forgot about Zack and Miri🤣🤣, that Swiss army man, Little Nicki, and Undercover Brother..Just cant go wrong with them

Matt Dellarosa

Not much on this poll that excites me. UHF I guess.

Jonah Visscher

Couldn't agree more with these suggestions. Love me some Johnny English and Spy Hard.

Thomas Larsen

I hope you will do Naruto + Shippuden, it is fairly long so it might be good to skip fillers

Owenrock1221

all 3 of the movies I would of picked are currently leading so thats nice....I personally voted for UHF cause its vastly underrated as a comedy. I would of voted for Zack and Miri if George hadnt already seen it, but its a Kevin Smith movie that I love and would love to see Simone's reaction and hear George's thoughts on it since he worked in the buisness. The 3rd Little Nicky is also an Adam Sandler movie alot of people hate, but I think its hilarious

TurnerK

Love Little Nicky! I recommend Due Date!

Max Norris

Zack and Miri is funny as hell, one of Seth Rogan's better movies personally. Simone's reaction to the frosting scene will possibly be my new wallpaper.

REDR58

Simone and George consider watching at least some of the original Monty Python Flying Circus show. I'm sure we can come up with a "best of" list of a baker's dozen or more episodes to watch. You've seen the movies, now go back to the beginning,

Al

Modern comedies ... some I like. But they can run thin after awhile. You basically get dressed-up slapstick under the guise of "cringe" and profanity. Maybe try the movie Being There from 1979. It has Peter Sellers (from Dr Strangelove) and has a satirical edge under its deadpan, understated tone.

Happy Hanukkah

And for more conventional comedic fare, Fawlty Towers.

Jeremy

I hope Zack and Miri win. Nobody every seems to do that one.

Kieran Hawk

C'mon UHF! "I hope you ENJOY IT!!"

E G

He'll yeah Zack and miri he'll on to the lead. Not that uhf isn't also worth watching.

Stephen

I'm once again asking to add The Village (2004) to the list. One of M Night Shyamalans best plus a good spooky season watch

Owenrock1221

one of the closest polls yet, Zack and Miri beat UHF by only 8 votes lol

John Richards

A future poll suggestion: "Breaking Away" - Barbara Barre just passed away, she got an Oscar nom for this film.

Sporty Taco

Undercover Brother is absolutely hilarious, but Zack and Miri is a great choice. I can't wait to see Simone's reaction to Mewes' big reveal. Lmao.

Adam X. Luke

*sigh* we could have had UHF. It was within our grasp. Democracy simply doesn't work.
