There were only 10,000 Jedi in the ENTIRE UNIVERSE at the time of Order 66. If you think about it, they’re SUPER rare. The galaxy is trillions of living beings. Planets full of billions of people and most of them would NEVER see one Jedi… many not believing they exist or that they’re nothing more than cultist soldiers.

Also the scout trooper who hits The Child is Ted fucking Lasso.

I know I am a year and a half late to the party, but I wanted to address the question about whether or not the Empire was truly "evil". There were good people who lived under Imperial rule and even good people who served in the Imperial military and government. Whether or not the Empire was "good" at governance I suppose is a matter of conjecture and opinion, but also a moot point when one considers that the Empire as a society was one that condoned and made use of slavery, conscription, forced scientific experiments on sentient subjects and was plagued by rampant racism. While some of that can be attributed to the rule of the Sith, by the time of the Empire from the movies there are only two Sith left (the Emperor and Darth Vader). A whole lot the ugly things the Empire did were not the sole propriety of the Sith.

I definitely think droids are people. We have been repeatedly shown across the SW universe that -- provided they are not repeatedly memory-wiped -- droids are sentient AI beings with their own personalities, thoughts, and feelings -- C3PO, Artoo, L3-37, K-2SO, B2EMO, etc., are all really good examples of this.

Ya'll, we've gotta vote for Mando season 2! xD I really enjoyed watching this first season with them and it would be such a treat to begin season 2 right away.

FranciscoGios

Why are you guys skipping Season 2 to watch other shows first??

Logan Kerlee

Oops, just noticed that the vote for Mando season 2 has already ended and did lose to Chernobyl. While I am bummed about that, as long as we get to Mando season 2 sometime soon I'll be cool with it. hahaha

We do a new poll after each season of any show, so that new patrons who join after a poll ended do not need to wait multiple seasons (there for months) before they have a say in what to watch next. This becomes especially true when we get into shows with many many seasons. That being said, a show not winning a poll does not mean we will never watch the next season. It is only a matter of when.

The black Storm troopers appear in Rogue One. The speeder bike troopers were also seen in Return of the Jedi.

Prof. Writhms

Yes. Also the black Storm Troopers are the special forces Troopers. Their aim isn't as bad as the others. lol

The light saber Moff Gideon was holding was a Dark Saber. It's a special light saber made by Jedi Mandalorian Knights. Fans of the "Star Wars Clone Wars" animated series went nuts when they saw Gideon holding the saber. They reference the Dark Saber in the animated series storyline, that is canon with this series and the movies. That's why some Star Wars fans would recommend you watch that series before this one, but there are just too many episodes to go through (7 seasons, roughly 20 episodes per season). Eh... You can Google "Dark Saber" to save time. 😁

I think Dark Saber was mentioned in Rogue One. It was one of the file names when they were trying to find the Death Star plans near the end.

And the Stormtroopers that punched the kid, were the stormtroopers from Endor that fought the Ewoks in Return of the Jedi. Also that same "punchy" stormtrooper was Jason Sudeikis, Ted Lasso himself.

Paul T Hewes

the Mandos that rescued Din as a child were members of a group called "Death Watch" that was very prominent in "The Clone Wars" story lines...
