Thanks to Roby Jenning and Githerax for letting us know the previous upload being out of sync!
We had a false start within the first few seconds of episode 5 and had to do the countdown again, and George foolishly forgot to cut that out and sync with the 2nd countdown instead.

He is being flogged for that mistake.

George: Reggie Ledeoux deserved a bullet for raping those kids. Also George: Two men getting beaten for raping a 16 year old is excessive. Some of the things that you say are incredibly naive.

Hexon66

Naive isn't the word you're looking for. I don't know what is, but you seem not to understand that Marty is not a good guy in this situation. He's not motivated by avenging his daughter, he's avenging his own wounded pride and manhood. If he'd spent an ounce of that energy focusing on truly caring for his daughters, it probably wouldn't have come to this.

Is there a video of George being flogged on the site or does one need to pay extra for that one?

Fly Ωhms

Will there be a video posted of this flogging?? I love George and I'd watch it. Even more so if it's Simone doing it ♥️lol

Maggie knew Marty would always forgive himself, but wouldn't forgive her. She even said Marty had told her 'there was no forgiveness, only short memory.' So when she realized he was cheating again, she knew she couldn't just throw him out or it'd all cycle around again ('a flat circle, nothing ever ends.') So she gave Marty an excuse to never forgive *her*; she picked Rusty to break Marty. She knows Marty only values women for what they give him so she burned her only value to him, it was as smart as it was cynical.

I would've thought 'Firefly' would be next since it co-won the last TV poll, that the coin toss was just which one is first.

Paul Davey

I don't know whether you've seen the last two episodes but without giving anything away Nic Pizzolatto has said the reason Rust demands beer during the 2012 interrogation is to make anything said inadmissible in court should circumstance arise. That explanation never comes up in the show but it's interesting to know there's so much more going on within these characters minds than what's revealed on screen.

Ragnar Lothbrok

The last shot, with the busted light, such a nice touch.

Theoshin

Questions about meth you have? Might i suggest breaking bad as a TV show to add.

Torsten Maekler

Haven't watched this one yet. Last time when we had a split you watched them both and let the coin flip decide which one first. Not this time? I mean, we all are going to vote for Firefly anyway ;-) Right? RIGHT??? :-D

Jeff I.

While it would be an amazing reaction for them (if they haven't seen it), it'd be pretty annoying if they watched Season 1 but then Season 2 didn't win a poll for another six months or something.

David Murray

Seems excessive? For adults who had sex with a minor? Interesting take.

Can't wait for The Batman on thursday!! I bet George is working hard editing right now...

MacGuffinStuff

The Yellow King, it's not really a spoiler because it's just a detail that has nothing to do with exposition or the plot in any way, and other people (who probably know a lot more about it than me, as this a new fascination with me) have probably mentioned it, but that's a reference to the "Lovecraftian" universe, and Carcosa is a direct reference to a story by Ambrose Bierce, he was a veteran of the US Civil War who wrote what seems to be the agreed upon inception of the "cosmic horror" genre, and then he disappeared in Mexico.... Spooky. Also, you guys should check out the Battlestar Galactica (reboot) miniseries if you haven't already, it's about 3 hours and awesome, I think it just might make you outright decide to watch the whole series.

Yeah, studying Lovecraft as a teen, I can tell you the whole “King in Yellow” is horrifying. People always point to Cthulhu as the most terrifying mythology in the Lovecraftian universe. But for me all the Hastur/King in Yellow stuff is the stuff that gave me nightmares. And the fact that a show somehow manage to tap into the stories/belief system/cult that surround it is both astonishing and awesome. I never thought it could be done. And even though it’s only a sliver of what’s out there lorewise, I just appreciate the fact that this first season managed to package that world into something intelligent and entertaining for eight episodes.

Adam Wetstein

I want someone to do the Adam west Batman movie just to hear all the snide remarks

Torsten Maekler

Another series for your voting list might be: The Dark Crystal - Age of Resistance ... a fantasy series with great puppetry :-)

If you really want to blow your mind, think about this. When Rust says "time is a flat circle. Everything we do we do over and over again." it can be interpreted as him talking about (and realizing) that he, and everyone else in the series, are just characters in a story. A story that will be re-watched again and again with the exact same things happening every time, because the story/episodes never change once they have been "filmed". The "flat circle" is the dvd or blu ray disk that holds the episodes on them, and so every time someone watches the series history repeats itself for the characters inside the series.

when cheating has a face, it makes the cheated on see the person when they create images in their head of the incident. it dwells on the person and makes they fixate on that person. Marty's wife understood cheating with a stranger had no meaning..the only thing that would push Marty away from her was with someone he trusted and knew . an evil psychology at work there. Marty's imagination about his wife and partner pushed him over the edge mentally.. It was defiantly sick... sex is also used with duality, for pleasure, for love, for revenge, vile abuse and with mental aberrations.

leavemealone

He literally does say "what, you wanted this to be admissable?" when he starts drinking

Louis Marti

This is super late but you guys were talking during the scene so I think you might have missed the line that explains why she cheated with Rust. It wasn't just some form of revenge where she chose the person who would hurt Marty the most, it was the only way to force Marty to leave her and stop trying to get her back because "he won't live with" it.
