The last polls winners were a tie between Fargo and John Wick so we'll be flipping coins again to see which one wins! The video will be recorded later today and uploaded Saturday.

Until then, here is this weeks poll with some of the movies suggested by you guys!

Remember, you can vote for multiple films!

I would absolutely adore to see the two of you react/review TCM. The film is a rusty nail that whether by accident or intent got making a horror film right. Films like Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm St and even Scream don't capture what TCM achieved. It feels like a documentary without being a found footage film. It's brutal without showing no gratuitous violence besides one scene similar to Psycho. It's my fav Horror/Thriller film of all time. The cinematography is perfect and the soundtrack (if you can call it that) is raw. It won't win the poll but am looking forward to maybe seeing you two react to it in the future. Exorcist is a good pick as well but it isn't as well paced.

Emmet Farrell

Horror not my thing but a good mix there.

Toc

"The Exorcist" is a rite of passage and more than just a horror movie; also might as well see that before you see a hundred imitators. I also put it in a lineage of great female horror: "Rosemary's Baby", "The Stepford Wives", "Carrie", "Alien", "Poltergeist", all movies I hope you hit eventually. (You've already done Alien, of course). Other horror for your list: "Creepshow", "Blair Witch Project", and the 1978 version of "Invasion Of The Body Snatchers" (love that one).

Stardust

Def The Exorcist 👍

Jean-Dominic Lapointe

The exorcist is a classic and must be seen even if just for the general culture. Cabin in the wood is my favorite in the list, even if is a bit different from the others.

MacGuffinStuff

I just have to say, I consider 28 Days Later (2002) the real impetus of the Zombie revival, not Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead (2004). True, they're not technically zombies, more like crazies, but that movie was the first modern zombie apocalypse movie and I think it "reanimated" the genre.

JayF

The Quiet Place is the best of these IMO. The Exorcist is iconic but TQP is the better movie. I can't recall if you've reacted to these or not but I would also suggest The Thing (1982), Alien, Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), Train to Busan, and Tucker and Dale vs Evil.

Liesmith

Oh man, hope these guys get to Cabin in the Woods at some point; that movie is fantastic.

redddfer44

Voted for The Exorcist because 70s cinema deserves visibility. For the future polls may I recommend Hitchcock! Rear Window and Psycho are good ones to start with, being a romantic thriller and a horror movie milestone respectively. Both versions of Cape Fear are also really good: the 1962 version might surprise you by its intensity, and the Scorsese version has a ripped De Niro as an absolute creep.

Mike Henderson

Idiocracy should be on this list. Scariest movie made, because it's coming true.

Haye Zeus

Texas Chainsaw is one of the pinnacles of horror. Definitely sucks that most people don’t see it that way. Oh well. Hope Exorcist wins over…ugh…Cabin in the woods. They should watch Evil Dead first atleast. Why is there no Evil Dead gosh dang it.

Craig Rhymer

I loved Cabin in the Woods ... but it's a parody of horror movies

Kripke's Corner

Guys, I would pay a ton of money to watch Simone sit through Texas Chainsaw Massacre! :P

Rick Runge

A quiet place is highly underrated in my opinion.

Michael Lynch

Kind of disappointed that Texas chainsaw massacre is in last place. I voted for it.

Alan Kobb

Almost like Halloween in April...

Tom Smith

I have a feeling you've already seen Event Horizon, but if you haven't Event Horizon is a good horror.

Tim Pierce

I'm more scared of ppl's reactions when I tell them I think The Exorcist is overrated, than I am the movie itself.

Bill Pearson

Wow! This is really not my channel any more. The fixation with bringing Simone down with movies that show the dark side of humanity is too much for me too watch. She seems like a wonderful person that deserves far better. No wonder our world struggles so much. We choose to spend so much time corrupting the mind by choice with gratuitous violence, horror and themes of darkness and human suffering without any redeeming social importance.

Marko T.

You should do a sequel poll. It could have Predator 2, Alien 3, Die Hard 2, RoboCop 2 and others.

Kameron Webb

The Conjuring is one of my all time favorite horror films. James Wan is a Master! From Saw, Insidious to the Conjuring. I really hope it comes from behind and wins.

Roberto Abitua

So, I love horror so I just clicked them all 🤷‍♂️

Florian Hoyer

i love votes but i hate horror XD so hard to pick one xD

Nick Sneddon

if you havent seen The Exorcist then prepare yourself, dont let the fact that its decades old fool you

Githerax

Don't vote for 28 Days Later, Simone won't be able to handle it.

Gryff

You should do both Fargo and John Wick. They are both film gems and classics for different reasons and will both give lots of people reasons to watch your channel and sub to Patreon.

e4tless

I would say the 1990 It is much better in every aspect. Okay the last 5min are a little wonky cause they ran out of their budget but asise from that, it's great! better the the new ones!

Torsten Maekler

Here are more suggestions for your backloglist: - Darkest Hour (Gary Oldman, WWII-Movie) - Flushed Away (Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, 2006) - Hancock (Will Smith, Charlize Theron, 2008) - Men in Black (Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, 1997) - Men in Black II (Same, 2002) - Ready Player One (Steven Spielberg) - The Naked Gun 2,5 (1991) - The Naked Gun 33 1/3 (1994)

Marko T.

28 Days Later is great but the sequel is better. I also voted It: Chapter One and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

bietz

Cabin in the Woods is best if you've watched more horror than y'all have watched at this point.

Monica Alarcon

Thank Cthulhu the Exorcist is not in the lead anymore. EVERYBODY does The Exorcist reactions. It's such a cliché by this point. And the movie itself is overrated.

Rory cornetto

The exorcist 2 is much more wild of a ride

Funderbunk

Exorcist 2 is pretty terrible; Exorcist III is a worthy sequel.

Middy

I'm genuinely surprised The Conjuring and IT: Chapter One are being slept on this hard. They were both received amazingly well for horror movies. Two of the biggest modern success stories of the genre. 28 Days Later barely counts as horror, if you ask me. It's kinda scary, but that doesn't really mean much.

Jorge Lopez

If Cabin in the Woods wins the poll, depending on how you both watch it, please try to avoid the artwork and pictures on discs/streaming service menus (or videos that might auto-play in said menus for the movie) if somehow possible. I watched this in theaters without having watched any trailers because it was co-written by Joss Whedon, and I enjoyed it so much going in completely blind. After I watched the movie, I checked out the trailers and advertisements (including the artwork on the blu-rays when they came out) and was so surprised how much they give away! Part of the enjoyment for me was the twists and turns, and the advertisements and artwork on the discs revealed SO much. It's a relatively "smaller" movie, so I get that they were trying to attract as many people as possible to watch the film, but I can almost guarantee you'll enjoy it more if you can somehow avoid those spoilers and go in completely blind.

Kelly Pickard

Aw, beans. I was hoping the '86 version of The Fly would make a reappearance on the next horror poll! I hope it gets another shot again sometime. I also submit It Follows for another super creepy horror movie.

AC10

Any chance for The Hunger Games Catching Fire soon? It has been a while since the first reaction. I almost forgot you two started the series. Thanks

E.P.B.F.

First list that doesn't really have anything for me. I guess i'll just pick 28 Days Later as i (very) vaguely recollect finding it kinda when i saw it at the time it premiered (Jesus, that was twenty years ago?!!). I mostly remember it at all because it was the first movie to use fast zombies.

Scott Elsasser

Interesting choices in the horror poll, i picked TCM just because it is such an iconic film and you can see its influence in most horror films that followed it including cabin in the woods. I agree with the previous post, if you can go into cabin in the woods absolutely blind you will enjoy it more.

Simon Clifton

Oooh, fortuitous timing to join. Definitely recommend 28 Days. For the typical “actors at the start of their career (Naomi Harris and Cillian Murphy)” the “hey I recognise him (Brendan Gleason and Chris Eccleston)”. And that score which has been used everywhere.

Githerax

Was just watching a reaction to a Nolan movie and was reminded, George, do you have 'Memento' (2000, mystery/thriller) on the list? Throw it on the pile!

mojo shivers

Cabin in the Woods is really deserving. Not only does it work as a horror film, but it also works as a commentary on horror films. Actually, it’s also a commentary on the way horror movies are watched nowadays ever since meta films like Scream and I Know What You Did started introducing characters who are super knowledgeable about all the tropes. Plus, the film is just super funny in parts, where appropriate.

Simon Clifton

Well, for the ultimate horror, I would always recommend Threads (BBC TV Movie, 1984). NOT recommended if you’re feeling in any way depressed however. It is relentlessly brutal.

Robert Cooper

The only real reason to watch The Conjuring is if you are going to watch Conjuring 2, which is a shockingly good film. If the Academy wasn't biased, it should have at least been nominated for cinematography and editing

Githerax

Have you two watched 'Dune' (2021)? I feel like it's been brought up before; if you didn't see it in the theater, you missed out, but I'm sure many of us would love to see you react to it now.

Tall Paul

classic movies might be a fun poll too - Casablanca, Citizen Kane, Wizard of Oz, etc

Antonio

Hello, I was wondering if you guys would be willing to step in another direction of movies such as "My Family / Mi Familia" or "Mirrormask" or "Melancholia"?

Jim Johnson

Can't miss with any of these but I'm really sad to see TCM in last place, it's my favorite horror film.

Lock_Down

You should Add these not so famous movies as well later. 1. The Triangle 2. Predestination

Jeff I.

I voted for all of them except Cabin in the Woods. It's not a bad movie, but I'd prefer to see a reaction to one of the others first. A Quiet Place and The Conjuring are my favorites on the list.

Torsten Maekler

Wow. There is not even one movie on this list, that I have seen... . I am not that much into Horror, but Thrillers for sure.

kat

omg please eventually react to the IT movies... I personally don't find them all that scary but the comedy & character work go crazy in that series !!

Austin Working

The problem with The Cabin In the Woods is, if you don't already have a solid grasp of horror movie tropes, it can come off as just weird. A non-horror movie fan friend of mine hated it while I thought it was darkly hilarious.

Samuel Eng

sad Quiet place is so low on votes

Lock_Down

Quiet Place pls :(

Torsten Maekler

Here is some more stuff for your backlog: - A Beautiful Mind (Russell Crowe, Ed Harris, 2001) - Apocalypto (Mel Gibson, 2006) - visually stunning action flic - Ghandi (Ben Kingsley, 1985) - Hugo (Ben Kingsley, 2011) - The English Patient (Ralph Fiennes, Willem Dafoe, 1996) - The Prestige (Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Christopher Nolan, 2006) And some smaller films with interesting, sometimes extraordinary characters and storytelling. Don't know if they would ever go though a vote, but I think they are well worth your time: - Revolutionary Road (Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, 2008) # A Family in the 1950th that wants more to make out of their lives, trying not to break apart - Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (Alan Rickman, Dustin Hoffman, 2006) # Imagine a mentally limited person in 18th Century France with a special ability... - The Illusionist (Edward Norton, 2006) # A love story in a class based society - The Reader (Kate Winslet, Ralph Fiennes 2008) # A german "love story", overshadowed by moral aftermath of WW2. Pretty deep... .
