I remember MIB 2 being so-so but highly recommend MIB 3.

Agreed. although as a pug dad, I did enjoy all the Frank.

If you want to understand human psychology, there is maybe no more important event in history than the 1938 War of the Worlds radio drama broadcast on SBC. Among the things K might say "everyone knows" is that it caused widespread panic because the format of the show as fictional news broadcasts made people think Martians were actually invading Earth. Since people are dumb panicking animals. Except it didn't happen. The show didn't have a whole lot of listeners. Contemporary interviews can tell us everyone thought everyone ELSE was fooled, but there's very little evidence of any large scale panics. It turns out the failing of people isn't that we're stupid, but that everyone wants to think we're smarter than most other people. It's a very seductive idea to imagine other people are less observant, less curious, less capable of independent thought. It's a known problem in psychology and something you have to work to compensate for. Imagine if you're fine with knowing space aliens exist, the next guy won't have much more trouble with it. Imagine if each individual is one of those smart persons, and the groups of stupid people exist only as an optic illusion created by your distance to them. It helps with misanthropy and unwarranted feelings of superiority at the same time.

Oh man, I haven't watched this in forever. This is gonna be so much fun!

Eik104

After watching the intro, I just wanted to say please be high when you watch Team America 👍👍👍

Will Smith rejected the role of Neo in the Matrix to do Wild Wild West, lol :)

Opti_Frog

One of the best popcorn flicks of the 90s. Sadly, the magic was never achieved again in any of the sequels.

Torsten Maekler

The expectation of what that dragonfly could mean… 😊 Mash…

William

The music at the end was original done ny "Patrice Rushen - Forget Me Nots" with Will Smith rapping over it

Jay Davis

Just good fun. Looking forward to the other 2.

JokerDanny

Please react to Gotham, or please add it to future polls, it ran for a5 seasons and I think you two will really like it. it was a great show with fantastic performances by the whole cast.

David Crabtree

Very much looking forward to watching this reaction later on! Good timing too, just 2 weeks from today is MiB's 25th anniversary! Some recommendations: 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, The Patriot, The Rundown, The Rock, American Pie, Con Air, Face/Off.

It's nice to know you both appreciate a grumpy old man since I am one. George, Linda Fiorentino was a crush of mine around late high school as she's a little over 10 years my senior. She has always been that sexy. Check out her early work in Vision Quest and Gotcha.

Under siege is another masterpiece of Tommy Lee Jones extraordinary acting style.

Spooky Dooky

not a big fan of Will Smith right now, but the movie is good

At the end, Kay looks up and says that the stars are beautiful. Actually, he's standing in downtown Manhattan, about a block from the office where I worked for a few years. I can promise you that the stars don't look at all beautiful there. The haze looks pretty ugly. Otherwise, the movie is completely believable.

Had such a great time watching this with you both! Initially it was hard for me to believe that neither of you have watched this before.. then I remembered when it came out and that made it pretty clear. I remember watching this as soon as it came out on video. Had an awesome time watching it with a buddy of mine. :) lmao, but yeah, seeing the both of you react to this was a treasure! Made me feel so happy. :) I'm really glad that you both enjoyed this movie! The sequels aren't nearly as great - in my book anyway. The latest one was pretty terrible, as well. With that said though.. SUPER LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEXT MEN IN BLACK REACTION!! xD

Logan Kerlee

Blast from the past.. lol, this video does not hold up. xD I remember liking this as a kid.

JarHead0351

Now try "Evolution" it is a good fun space alien movie

I didn't know David Cross when I saw this in the theater, but looking it up now, this movie occurred during the run of Mr. Show, so he did both at the same time. I didn't find out about Mr. Show - and fall in love with it - until the early 2000s. It was fun to see him pop up here for 30 seconds.

Odd Thomas

Galaxy Quest is another great 90s sci-fi comedy along these lines

Michael Grooms

This is one of my favorite 90's films. It actually had an amazing cartoon series that followed it up on KidsWB.

Tarenor

ohhh, that would be perfect. Seeing at least one season of pre-year 2000 Star Trek is highly recommended.

Thomas Yanez

I've found that the often called for "see some TOS" is really not that necessary. While there are a few moments of "old" footage of a low budget show, the movie really builds itself on the infamous interpersonal relationship issues of the TOS cast and the con experience. Familiarity with cast conflict and cons goes well beyond TOS which is why I think this movie gets such a good reaction, even among reactors with no Star Trek background. That said, it is a love letter to both the TOS and the TOS fans and there are a few excellent specifically targeted jokes.

Sensei Dave

the line "it just be rainin' black people in New York" was an add lib by Will Smith.

Ricardo Alanis

Around this time of his career I’d recommend Bad Boys and Enemy of the State.
