Love this movie. Kinda like 28 Weeks, but Weeks is the worst "dumb kids" movie ever made. Also, Zombie movies are never *about* the Zombies. It is kind of the thing with them. :P

The introduction to zombies that sprint at you like Usain Bolt. I think that with the rage on their faces put zombies on top of most horrifying monsters again.

Night of the Living Dead is the best zombie movie because it was the very first zombie movie.

There has long been debate with this franchise whether these are "zombies" or living people infected with a rage virus. They are fast, have some thinking and reasoning skills and starve to death without food. They also don't rot. I think they are meant to be alive in these movies.

1. That makes no sense. 2. Night of the Living Dead wasn't the very first zombie movie. White Zombie from 1932 is generally given that accolade.

Despite not technically a zombie movie, 28 days later really kicked new life (heh...) into the zombie genre, and it quickly became saturated. By 2010 when The Walking Dead came around i was already sick of zombies. Very few of the modern zombie outings can lay a finger on the classics of the genre: The Romero Dead trilogy, Return of the Living Dead, Peter Jackson's Braindead, Tombs of the Blind Dead, Re-Animator and basically anything directecd by Lucio Fulci. The best zombie movie of the last decade is One Cut of the Dead, because it's so wildly left-field, funny and inventive.

28 Weeks Later is a decent zombie movie but not as good as the original. It's a bit more 'Hollywood'

Hey guys...please do vampire movies...I recomend: Interview with a vampire. The Lost Boys and Fright Night, But, PLEASE...Never The Twight Light Saga...Its horrible.

so to film the desolate scenes in London, they had makeshift checkpoints at various roads leading into westminster. You cant get permission to shut it down for filming, so any traffic at the time it was filmed ( early in the morning ) was asked at the checkpoints if they could just hold off until they had finished filming. Appraently they hired some models to do the asking

Running zombies were “a thing” prior to this film. Likely starting with Richard Matheson’s I Am Legend “running vampires” and their zombified film counterparts in The Last Man on Earth, this solidified into an actual depiction of talking, tool-using, brain-eating, all-out sprinting zombies in the darkly humorous Return of the Living Dead.

Great reaction... side note, I was going to watch Jerry Maguire and then thought maybe Cinebinge will have it on their list at some point... It might be one of those movies i'd cringe at watching as an adult, I haven't seen it in over a decade... is it worth a watch?... I don't know... someone let me know lol... I used to love it.

Also, World War Z (the book), the change takes about 3 days. There were “slow burns” that traveled by air to different cities, changed in hotel rooms, and infected the staff and ultimately the new city. One of my favorite books, written by Max Brooks, son of comedy king Mel Brooks. Go figure.

And if you haven’t seen it, Shawn of the Dead is definitely worth a watch.

Dawn of the Dead (2004) and Shawn of the Dead are both really good. And the OG Night of the Living Dead is terrific, as well as it’s 1990 remake. wE’rE cOmiNg tO GET yOu, bArBaRa!
