The last polls winners was Anchorman and we'll be watching/filming our reactions later today and uploaded Saturday. With Jumanji coming so close, we will be adding it to the schedule next week and it will be available soon after!

Until then, here is this weeks poll with some of the movies suggested by you guys!

Remember, you can vote for multiple films!

Reminder: movies that don't win does not mean they will never be watched, it just means they will be watched later. Please be respectful to each others opinions, we're all just here to have fun and watch movies :)

Rather than vote, I think I’ll just make a suggestion. I’ll suggest Lawrence of Arabia, the greatest film ever made.

Daniel

Apocalypse Now is missing...

Jeromy M

'Life is Beautiful' is at the same time one of the most heart-warming and heart breaking films I've ever seen. I doubt it will ever win, but those who haven't seen it are the poorer for not having done so.

David Lengyel

We Were Soldiers missing as well. Next time then. Picked three other movies.

Bonny T

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL for the win 🙏🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Matt

I recommend The Thin Red Line 1998 for next time, probably my favorite war film

Jester

The Thin Red Line, Memphis Belle and Good Morning Vietnam need some recognition

Eebzay McDeebzy

Come and See is one of the best war films ever made, it definitely won't win the poll because not enough people are familiar with it, but it's an almost life changing watch.

Eebzay McDeebzy

Also, 'Paths of Glory' would be a good addition if you do another War poll in the future

PhilM

One of the problems of anti-war movies is that most of them can be read as pro war movies. There are stories of troops in Iraq psyching selves up watching Platoon, Full Metal Jacket and Apocalypse Now - joining in with the better known lines etc... Come and See is very much an exception to this. There is no way to view it as a pro-war movie. It's almost traumatic to watch. This is pretty much why I'm not voting for it. It's brilliant, but I'm not sure how much I want to see everyone traumatised.

YoureMrLebowski

I haven't seen a reaction to Hawksaw Ridge (2016) that wasn't great. Brings out all the emotions.

Tara M. Wilcoxon

Have a wonderful week, everyone! Can't wait to see your reaction to "Anchorman"!

Robb

It won't win but pls also do Hawksaw Ridge it's an amazing movie

redddfer44

Looks like it's gonna be "I can't personally watch this but I'll leave the video running for support" o'clock again. Unless the non-English-speaking films win but I'm afraid they won't.

David Martin

Why no older movies? The years after WWII and Vietnam produced many great war movies, many much better than this group. "Bridge on the River Kwai" and "Tora! Tora! Tora!" come to mind.

Adam Wetstein

Life is beautiful is not really a war film. But a category all it own Holocaust films I suggest a poll for those exclusively 1 Schidler list 2 the pianist 3 Sophies choice 4. The Pawnbroker( my choice) 5 shoah Thank lease dont list Inglorious bastards

Einherj

I suggest The Unknown Soldier (2017)

jonny bowerbank

13 hours: the secret soldiers of benghazi is probably the best war movie I've seen. Fury is a close second

Haye Zeus

Come and See is a hard film. But essential viewing. It’s a one time for lots of people because of how actually relentless in its depiction of the brutality of war. It’s a lot of fun. So it gets my vote along with Life is Beautiful since they are obviously the least popular but still amazing films.

JayF

Hacksaw Ridge is an incredible true story. I hope you get to it at some point. BHD is also a true story but, as I was alive when it happened, it mostly just pisses me off for reasons I won't get into here. Other war movies to consider - Enemy at the Gates (outstanding cast, you will love it, loosely based on a true story) We Were Soldiers (another one based on a true story) Dunkirk (based on a true story) The Great Escape (loosely based on a true story) Victory (Stallone, WW2, soccer. Need I say more?)

Anndra

Come And See is the true best answer here so it's a shame it's polling so low. Hope you get to it eventually!

Thomas Bengtsson

Flags of our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima...

Raymond DeGraw

I would love to see you react to Braveheart.

Bjorn Andreassen

Some great film choices on this poll. It is a shame The Great Escape isn't on this poll vote though. Iconic war film, memorable orchestral theme tune and some powerhouse acting performances from the likes of Steve McQueen, Richard Attenborough, James Garner, Donald Pleasance etc. The chances are that George And Simone only recognise Richard Attenborough from the original Jurassic Park films. Also the motorcycle chase featuring Steve McQueen and the Germans is a fantastic thrilling spectacle.

EmJay

What's a girl gotta do to get more people to watch/react to 2003's MASTER AND COMMANDER? Criminally underrated because it came out the same month as the final installment of The Lord Of The Rings, but critically acclaimed and easily the best Age Of Sail movie ever. Russel Crowe and Paul Bethany (Vision!) are amazing in it :D

Simon Clifton

I'd also recommend The Cruel Sea. It's a bit British stiff upper lip 50s, but based on the semi autobiographical novel by Nicholas Monserrat, its an incredibly accurate depiction of the long attritional war on the convoys in the Atlantic. But for balls-out full-on Boys-Own daftness, I cannot sing the praises of Where Eagles Dare highly enough. Bonkers story, full of derring do and duplicity and officially Clint Eastwood's highest body count film! So much fun *Broadsword calling Danny Boy*

Jeff I.

It won't win because it's a foreign film that most haven't seen, but Come And See is right up there with the best big-budget American war films. It's so well done overall and the acting from the teenage lead is insanely good. Hope to see a reaction some day! It got my vote along with Fury and Hacksaw Ridge.

Marko T.

Downfall / Der Untergang (2004)

Allboroking

Das Boot would also be a great pick for a war movie.

Dooly

Voted for Come and See. It’s a great movie that sadly doesn’t have as much recognition as the others on the poll.

Michael_AP

I had planned to come online to suggest a war movie... and then I see there is a war movie poll today. LOL For a future poll I wanna suggest the war movie: Windtalkers (2002). It'a about how native Americans played a crucial role in WWII. A role that not many know about.... except if they have seen this movie :) And it's not just head-chopping blood dripping gore. I think Simone will appreciate that 🤪

Brandon Meng

Life is Beautiful is profoundly moving and an unforgettable cinematic experience. I truly hope that you do a reaction to it at some point.

Jobbe Smit

Life is Beautiful/La vita è bella is one of those films they ought to see at least once. Come on guys make it happen, they need it in their lives.

Jeff I.

Also, since everyone else is making suggestions, I'll throw in "Glory" from 1989.

AC10

We were soldiers. And Pearl Harbor for the next war poll please.

Stephen Dooley

Hamburger hill, is probably one of the most accurate Vietnam, films. "De-ass my A.O." Definitely one to consider.

dead

Come and See going to lose by the most but is hands down the most impactful one you could watch.

Jonathan Jumayao

Ya'll should also watch 13 Hours starring John Krasinski! Really great military/war movie.

Rob Church

Reminder that Black Hawk Down is mostly untrue American war propaganda with a racist tilt and Ewan McGregor's character is based on an actual child rapist.

Total Donkey

Three Kings(1999) is a cool Gulf War movie

Opti_Frog

Can Threads be counted as a war movie?

David S

While not a classic "war" movie, "Zero Dark Thirty" is an amazing movie (it had academy awards nominations for best writing, actress, and film), and is a true story. Also, "Master and Commander". And for classic war films, don't forget "Patton"

JarHead0351

13 Hours is a good movie

Rezblade

The Old Giard and Constantine and cold pursuit Liam Nelson

Who Are These People

Not feeling this one; how about 'Sicario'? War on Drugs, anyone? Denis Villeneauve? Maybe next time?

Lawrence Gough

Come and see is easily the best film on this list, but please don’t watch it. It is also easily the most horrible, brutal, disturbing film. It is not that graphic, but it has a very long depiction of WWII eastern front war crime, and is based on real events. You cannot say to yourself “this is just a film”.

Byron

Patton. It’s got George C Scott (from Dr Strangelove) and an Academy Award. The Hurt Locker is another option. Two Avengers. An academy award.

Logan Kerlee

Not upset that my votes lost, but a smidge disappointed as I've already seen Black Hawk Down a number of times already. It's all good though! :)

elifalet gutierrez

Off topic suggestion, "Fleabag" It's an hbo show, incredibly funny and is only 2 seasons, both seasons are 6 episodes each so not a gigantic time investment. Wouldn't be surprised if either of you have already seen it though, it's a great show.

YoureMrLebowski

Dunkirk (2017) on the next poll please and thank you

Nate Terry

Come on ppl, if you gonna watch war movies, you have to lay the foundation first.....saving private ryan and the Patriot are clearly fundamental firsts.. hint hint, vote patriot lol

BlackOpsElf

Gettysburg, 12 Strong, 13 Hours, The Crossing. There's a few people miss.

The Fool

I REALLY hope you guys do at least 2 if not 3 from this list. I'd really love to see your reaction to Fury though.

Jeff Norwood-Brown

Right, I know I keep saying ‘watch Paul’ at you even though you haven’t yet, I’ve just thought of another one. The Dish. So watch Paul then watch The Dish. I will keep saying Paul at you until you do.

Charles Murray

I wanna see Rocky 2 reaction but think it lost in a past poll 🤣

Bill Pearson

Platoon and Last of the Mohicans are 2 good war movies that need to be considered.

Locke

Black Hawk Down is a fantastic movie that doesn't get enough viewings. Definitely has my upvote.

Naw

Crapiest. Pol. Ever.

AC10

May I suggest Phenomenon 1996 with Jon Travolta. Very unique movie unlike any other I have seen. I think you will enjoy it.

Sebastian

For the next time, maybe an anti-war film? There are sone really good ones, especually older ones. "Die Brücke" (1959), "All Quiet on the Western Front" (1930), "Das Boot" (1981) or "Grave of the Fireflies" (1988) come to mind.

EMB

The Wave (or Die Welle, it's German) (2008) is a good movie, not about war, but a great movie.

Dooly

You should check out Lilya 4-ever. Not exactly a war film by any means, but a phenomenal film nonetheless.

Gary Trousdale

“Land of Mine” is pretty good, too. In the immediate post-war of Denmark, a group of German prisoners is made to clear the beaches of the landmines left by the Nazis. Kind of intense.

Tenn Seven

Oh wow, Life is Beautiful is one of the best and most devastatingly heartbreaking movies I've ever seen. It's also a comedy, which is wild. Of course it's losing in the poll to crap like Troy and The Patriot, but you guys should really see it, even if not for a reaction video, because it's truly a seminal work of film art.

NerdyWatch TV

'La vita è bella' is one of my favourite films ever... and also one of the best films period (or at least from the 90's). I would really enjoy watching your reactions and comments to this powerful story.

Alex Ch

I’m not a big fan of any of these tbh. Obviously you/they will watch a winner but I would rather see other things than most of the runner-ups. 🤷‍♂️

Dave Jones

I know you love Ridley Scott movies (Gladiator, Black Hawk Down).. one movie that is never talked about is ‘Kingdom of Heaven’ such an amazing movie based loosely on Balian of Ibelin who was in charge of the Jerusalem defence against Saladin in 1187.. brilliant film and one that guys should watch
