The last polls winners was No Country for Old Men and we'll be watching/filming our reactions later today and uploaded Saturday.

Until then, here is this weeks poll with some of the movies suggested by you guys!

Remember, you can vote for multiple films!

Reminder: movies that don't win does not mean they will never be watched, it just means they will be watched later. Please be respectful to each others opinions, we're all just here to have fun and watch movies :)

Blacky

You could make it a double decker, Apocalypse Now + Heart of Darkness :)

Martin

Pleeeeease Apocalypse Now. My favorite war movie ever.

redddfer44

Just having Apocalypse Now showing up on poll, The Wire starting tomorrow, and No Country on Saturday makes me a happy man.

Paul Cox

My heart wants Casablanca, but I'm voting Apocalypse Now in an effort to thwart A Clockwork Orange.

Young Blood Priest

Apocalypse Now? I thought you guys were done with war movies for a while.

Mitchell Bowker

If APOCALYPSE NOW wins or if gets 2nd place & watched later, which version should be watched? There is Theatrical, Redux, and Final Cut. I’ll suggest Redux, the longest version - but it’s what I’ve seen the most.

john paul

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest 1975

The Gunslinger

You should give Atlantis: The Lost Empire a watch. It's a very underrated animated film.

Marko T.

Psycho and Casablanca.

Jester

I don't want to spoil anything so I'm going to try to be careful about how I word this but with a few war movies of late and having seen Apocalypse Now listed in past polls I became a bit concerned about if it was ever selected given a certain aspect of it. I've seen the movie a few times and I'm aware of the story behind that issue and while it doesn't really phase me watching it, I'm a little concerned about the impact. I want to be clear that I'm not trying to influence anyone's vote. It's a poll and everyone can choose their preference and whatever wins wins, but I'd be interested to know if others have a similar concern. I'm hoping that those who've seen it will understand what I'm talking about and at the same time hope I've been vague enough to not ruin anything.

Ben

Is it just me or has there been an awful lot of war movies on here? For that reason I'm not voting for Apocalypse Now, as good as it is (although it looks like it will win anyway)

Elisa H.

Is wizard of oz and it's music out of copyright or still no?

Tyler Foster

Sad to see Casablanca lagging behind. Still, nice to see the classics regardless.

Canonman28

Here’s looking at you kid

JayF

Oddly enough I've not managed to see A Clockwork Orange so there's my vote. Other classics to consider - Some Like it Hot To Catch a Thief North by Northwest Vertigo The Sand Pebbles (plenty for George, takes place in 1920s China) The Great Escape

HeyHeyJK

Given the other great war films you’ve seen, Apocalypse Now seems like a must, but PLEASE watch the original theatrical release. All the other cuts just bog down the film or rearrange the scenes and destroy the pacing.

Daniel

A Clockwork Orange and Apocalypse Now in one poll, awesome. I hope you get around doing both. Apocalypse Now first time view = theatrical release. Final cut is for second view and redux if you really liked final cut.

Martin

Unfortunately, I think Apocalypse Now will be punished for the abundance of war movies recently viewed, which is a shame because the movie is a masterpiece.

Rhys Haug

So many war movies as of late. I picture your patrons being mostly boomer dads. Plenty of them are classics, sure. But I enjoy a reaction to a light comedy over that to a dour war movie.

Bjorn Andreassen

It's A Wonderful Life is a decent one to review. This film is even culturally referenced via it being watched by characters on television in Home Alone, Home Alone 2 Lost In New York, Gremlins, Gremlins 2 The New Batch and the first Lethal Weapon. Mary Poppins is pure Disney escapism for all ages which leads me to recommend that George And Simone maybe add the Tom Hanks Emma Thompson film Saving Mr Banks to their future watchlist as it gives a different perspective of the Mary Poppins story franchise. Psycho is very clever especially the famous twist early in the film. Dial M For Murder, Strangers On A Train and The Birds are other must see Hitchcock films. Actually, come to think of it any of these films in this poll would be worthy poll winners. Happy viewing George and Simone

Jon Tabb

Psycho is currently in third place, but I do hope you'll check it out, soon! Maybe in October since it's a "spooky" film. George can check out the 1998 re-make of Psycho on CineCringe!

Kinokind

What an interesting selection! A Clockwork Orange and Apocalypse Now are both hard "R" ratings. Psycho would have been an "R" by 1960 standards (and I think the DVD case says "R"). Mary Poppins, It's a Wonderful Life and Wizard of Oz are all "family" films - excellent films but not at all edgy. Poppins could be an editing problem, since it's a musical and (drumroll), Disney. Wizard of Oz, less so. Casablanca is a magnificent amalgam of great writing, acting and cinematography, and is arguably the Greatest classic film on the list. The American Film Institute rated it #3 on their 100 greatest films list. All excellent films, though. Unfortunately, Psycho, Wonderful Life, and Casablanca are popular with other reactors, which makes them rather ubiquitous on Youtube. . . So, so, so many Great films!

Michael_AP

With Halloween coming up I wanna suggest: The others (2001) for a spooky poll. Don't worry.... Simone can handle this one...... I'm sure...... maybe 😂

Lars G

Highly recommend The Best Years of Our Lives the next time you run one of these. It’s one of the best movies ever made.

Casey Thomasson

Fun list! Might I suggest A League of Their Own (1992) as a modern(ish) classic, or maybe when a list of Sports Movies comes up? More Tom Hanks and heartwarming, tear-jerking goodness!

Adam B

I like Clockwork Orange, but just know if you do it you’re going to have a very hard time editing it for YouTube.

Bill Pearson

When you put horror movies and war movies in a poll on this board, you can bet that the rest will never be seen. Is that the reason for the design of these polls in this way? Too many cult classics are listed on these polls and few real classics. When will I learn that the critically acclaim will seldom rise to the top of the polls here?

Funny That

So it's "difficult" to like main protagonist week at Cinebinge, apart from Pyscho... which is something else besides. I'm going for Casablanca because I really want to go somewhere stylish and hopeful this week.

Andrew Smith

I'm eagerly awaiting Dune one day

Bill Pearson

Other classics worth viewing…The Sting, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Shane, 12 Angry Men, ( the 1957 version) and Ben-Hur.

Adam Wetstein

So evenly split. And you should do a violence no violence poll. So film with no violent content and those with.

Juley

Certainly a classic not to be missed is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1972).

Ken Myers

Just want to put out there there the idea of NOT doing all scary movies for October in honor or Halloween. Every damn reactor has announced their great idea to do scary movies in October. You know audiences like variety, right? You know how boring October is going to be when every single reactor is posting nothing but horror flicks? So, while I know I cannot convince you to buck this trend entirely, I think it's be super cool if you did, like, one anti-Halloween movie per week, to give us all a respite from the deluge of horror reactions. I also think I cannot be alone in dreading the thought of having nothing but an ocean of horror reactions for a whole month by every reactor I follow, and if you buck this trend even a bit with some non-horror reactions in October, you may find those movie reactions attract more viewers then normal (and if not, you've learned never to try to do anything unique, but just follow the masses, which is a good life lesson(?)).

FranciscoGios

Damn, Simone has been busy watching those classics. I would push myself to watch classics but I end up watching the new versions of some.

Martin

I’ve been trying to get into classics recently. Saw Casablanca a couple of months ago and really liked it. Also saw On The Waterfront and East of Eden earlier this year, both of which were great.

Kinokind

There IS an argument to be made against horror during October, I suppose, but I personally don't mind taking one month out of twelve to do so. Would one also not watch Christmas movies in December just to be contrarian? I guess. Or you could always pick only thematic horror films, like all horror comedies (Fright Night, Night of the Creeps, American Werewolf in London, Night of the Comet, etc.), or only old-school classics (Nosferatu, Frankenstein, The Cat People, etc.). Or wait, I've got it! The best of both worlds! Only Christmas horror movies (Krampus, Black Christmas, Gremlins, etc.)! Fa-la-la!

Marko T.

For the next horror poll: Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)

nossieboy

No love for Miss Poppins :(

HeyHeyJK

I'm SO excited for your reaction to 'No Country for Old Men' - my favorite film of all time (it knocked long-time front runner "Dr. Strangelove" out of the top spot). Such a master class in filmmaking on every level and having no score in it just made it even MORE tense was brilliant.

E.P.B.F.

All solid choices (if an odd mix thematically), but if i had to pick, and i do, i'd choose Casablanca (*) with runners up Clockwork Orange (**) and Apocalypse Now respectively (***). __________________________________________ * = Sorry, can't beat that cast, or the sheer quotability of that script. Not when the category is 'Classic'. ** = Just like with old Ludwig van you can never go wrong with Kubrik, my Droogs. *** = sorry Francis, but the story of how it got made is actually more interesting than your movie itself. I mean Martin Sheen, the lead actor, wanders off into the jungle, which nobody on the crew notices because everybody is high as fuck, gives himself a heart attack from all the coke he snorts, and _survives_ after crawling back to camp through miles of tropical rain forrest. And that's just one of the _minor_ incidents during the production.

Paul Cox

No matter how close Apocalypse Now gets to overtaking A Clockwork Orange, the latter holds off the former by just a few extra votes. Infuriating, lol!

Martin

I hope with how close this particular poll is, the 2nd place movie gets a reaction video fairly soon too. (Shameless Apoc Now plug)

David Martin

Surprised to see A Clockwork Orange leading this group. It doesn't spring to mind when I think "classics".

Craig D

you guys should checkout mirror mask

Angus Kirk

I would absolutely love to see you two watch Robin Hood: Men In Tights sometime. One of my favorite Mel Brooks films.

Paul Cox

omg only two votes between Clockwork and Apocalypse! That's the closest it's ever been. I probably just jinxed a stellar come-from-behind victory.

Martin

Going to be an epic finish.

Geomotion

Since disturbing 70s films are being included in this category, I'd love to see a reaction sometime to the brilliant and disturbing Deliverance.

redddfer44

Apocalypse Now versions in brief: - Theatrical: the shortest & with the leanest pacing - Redux: the longest - Final Cut: the director's preferred version

Logan Kerlee

I'm hoping that A Clockwork Orange comes out on top! The vote that I just made put it ONE VOTE above Apocalypse Now. Both movies are excellent watches, but I'd very much prefer to see a reaction for A Clockwork Orange. The movie is twisted and messed up but it paints a picture so well. Apocalypse Now on the other hand is more chaos than anything. Quality movie just not as entertaining in my opinion.

Rezblade

I would recommend

Rezblade

# Pippi, Longstocking 1969 starring Inger Nilsson,

Florian

I would like to recommend Waynes World and Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure 😎

cincassette

I'd love to see a dive into Kubrick!!

Martin

Kubrick vs. Coppola: Will their battles become legend?

Brendan Rafferty

If Apocalypse Now! wins... as it should... do not watch the horrible Redux version where Coppolla rereleased it to make a buck by adding scenes that were rightly removed from the original theatrical version. Stick with the original Academy Award winning theatrical version

Peter Maňko

Seeing Casablanca up there I definitely recommend Gilda as well.

redddfer44

My fave tv show on Tuesday and my fave movie on Saturday. Can't complain.

Martin

Excited for Apoc Now.

Middy

I wonder which version of Apocalypse Now they're going to choose. Personally, I would recommend Final Cut, as it retains the essence of Redux but without the excessively slow scenes disrupting the pace. I'll watch any, but I don't have the theatrical release to hand, so I might have to source that after the reaction drops.

Kinokind

Apocalypse Now: Beautiful, brutal, poetic madness. . . , A Clockwork Orange: A black, black comedy as only Kubrick could envision. Can't wait for both. Saw both in the theater back in the day. Wow.
