So what if the movie's message was abstinence? Why not advise people to have sex whenever they're ready, not because society or other people tell them they should? I'm not a religious person but I do think it's detrimental to shame people who aren't ready or to say that someone should seek therapy because they're not interested in having sex.

I don't believe it was their intent to imply that he needs therapy because he's not interested in sex. Rather, the fact that it is clearly evident that he is suffering anxiety and distress over sex, and it is impacting his overall life. If he was relatively happy and content, but not interested in sex, he wouldn't have any reason for therapy. As with any art form, there can be an intended message, or not, but ultimately what something means to a person happens individually. Sometimes, even often they are the same, but each person decides what something means to them, and what message they want to take from it.

Soooo, I'm pretty hairy. I'd waxed before and there was no shaving before hand. It was not pleasant, but it also wasn't as bad as depicted here. I've since done laser removal.

I've never been waxed before, but my understanding is that you definitely don't want to shave because you want the wax to have enough of the actual follicle to actually latch onto, so letting it grow out a bit makes it an easier process. But I could be wildly misinformed.

Jane Lynch is so funny in everything she does. I don't know if you two have already seen it, but you should check out Role Models if you haven't. It has Paul Rudd and Jane Lynch, plus Stiffler from American Pie and McLovin from Superbad.

Yeah, I shaved my torso once in my 20s. Never again. Turns out, when I shave my torso my torso also gets an afternoon shadow. The difference is chest/back stubble grabs at your shirt all day causing irritation.
