Such a good film. Looking forward to the reaction

Among the quotes I still reference to this day: “food… Food… FOOOOOOD!”

You guys should watch and react to 200 Cigarettes. A great new years movie

Seriously, even though it’s a great film, the part I remember the most is the cow flying and them going, “Cow,” all nonchalantly. Lol

wow this is nuts I just watched this move a couple days ago. To answer George's question yes insurance does cover tornado damage as well as any other "act of God" like hurricanes or earthquakes.

Devin Brown

"Is that The Dread Pirate Roberts?" I love that. Great reference. And yes, it was.

Daniel Bjork

Hurricanes and tornados are two different types of storms. A hurricane can produce tornados, but a tornado doesn’t become a hurricane. Hurricanes are much larger storms that originate in the ocean, which is why they only impact coastal areas

"Deathwind!" Sound like some sort of super flatulence-based monster. This movie is fun cheese, but look at its bona fides: Story by Michael Crichton, the cast includes the great Bill Paxton, the great Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ferris Bueller's friend Cameron (Alan Ruck), (the dread pirate) Cary Elwes, etc. OK, so there are some sloppy scenes, like where the truck windshield is shattered by farm machinery and then is suddenly intact again, or the many scenes in which the sky is black with clouds while the characters are in bright, harsh sunlight in closeup, but that's part of the fun! It was cutting-edge digital effects work at the time. So just enjoy. Cow.

I was 8 when this came out and it was the first "grown up" movie my dad took me to see in theaters. Scared the crap out of me but also blew my mind. Good times.

Brandon Meng

oh my god how i loved how connected you both were almost from the onset of the movie, undeterred by the cheesy lines and fully engaged when it was laughably unrealistic but oh so good. i'm taking credit here because i've voted for twister every time it's come up in a poll ... ... also happy new year!

I’ve lived in Tornado Alley for 36 years. People who live in the gulf have hurricanes. West coast has earthquakes. The north has blizzards. The midwest has tornadoes. The Joplin tornado was the worst disaster cleanup I’ve ever worked on.

Lachlan Caldwell

"Subscribe so she never has to do that again." ~ Sorry Simone, I laughed way too hard at that. 😁

George has never seen The Wizard of Oz?! Must rectify!

Outrunning a tornado can indeed be possible, They can be pretty slow sometimes or almost stationary.

Kameron Webb

I live in Oklahoma where this movie was shot. On May 19th 2013 our house was hit by an f2. House stayed thankfully. The next day, May 20th, the worst tornado hit my family's hometown of Moore. It was an EF5 and I lost my cousin in that storm. An elementary school was hit and 8 children and a few teachers passed away. Even with all our technology here, these storms can be very unpredictable.

Laurence/Upham (Jeremy Davies) is also in "Ravenous". Another movie you guys should check out. :-) The fiancee plays the love interest in The Lost Boys, another movie that you'll probably get to in time. Seems like a staple among reacotrs (for good reason, it's very "reactable"/fun).

Lamar Savage

Of all the movie reactors I check in on, whether occasionally or as a subscriber you two are far and away the most enjoyable! The ease and quality of your friendship shines through in every reaction! The ways in which Simone gives expression to her humor are beyond adorable and George is her perfect cohort! All I can say is thank you!

Davide Figus

Ravenous is very underrated. Great cast, atmosphere and the soundtrack of Damon Albarn.

Well I picked a great time to join your patreon, this is one of my all-time favorite movies and actually began my love of weather, and tornados in particular. Went to school for meteorology for as long as I could before the math became ridiculous and I had to switch majors, but I still do forecasts, watch weather models and chase storms when I can find someone to watch my dogs for a few days. There are some fairly large inaccuracies in this movie (such as predicting an F5, punching the core when there's no rain/hail, chasing for the money, etc) but overall it's good. Pretty much any chaser under say...50 years old will say this movie was what got them interested in chasing.
