Why exactly do people want to make people not watch the rest of the movies? Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean others shouldn't. And anyone who doesn't like it doesn't have any disadvantage if they watch the others. You can just ignore the reactions. Everyone should make their own experiences.

TokyoLopez

love the trilogy, y’all should definitely watch them and stop after the third one

skz

Wastes time on objectively bad movies when we're paying for a service and could be getting reactions to good movies instead. It literally does matter and effect everyone.

Colby Sanders

Funny, I thought what each individual person thinks about a film was SUBjective as was what particular films they enjoy. I'm guessing you've never heard of "Guilty Pleasure" films. Here let me try to explain in simple terms, "Guilty Pleasure" films are films that an individual freely admits are not good quality movies, whether that be because of the acting, cinematography, score, writing, etc., but that individual also acknowledges that those flaws dont matter to them and they enjoy the movie regardless! Basically what im saying is who are you to tell them what NOT to react to? You didnt like the movies but maybe they will. And the people who do like these movies now get to enjoy the reaction just like the reactions to films you yourself enjoyed that maybe others didnt think were necessarily good films.

Logan Nelson

Just watch them all... They are goofy robot fighting movies... its all good lol

SixDickSally

Megan Fox was 19 when this movie was filmed...most 25 year old high schooler ever??

Odd Thomas

Time for a Transformers rewatch! I wouldn't say no to reactions to the sequels too.

Odd Thomas

Yay! The first is the best; the sequels just became all about the explosions. I love explosions but 3hrs of it just gets boring. Weirdly i did like 5 as it has Anthony Hopkins in. Bumblebee is good too as it goes back to basics and has Hailee Steinfeld!

Raven Dark

Oh, good, I'm not alone in that. As I say in my comment on the Youtube version, I love this film, but the others, not so much, and I hope they stop here.

Odd Thomas

The one Michael Bay movie that is genuinely good is The Rock. Nicolas Cage & Sean Connery. Great script to go with Bay's bombastic visuals AND before he just used CGI robots in everything. Great movie.

Martin

Yuck. A Michael Bay movie. Will have to sit this one out.

Jay Davis

So you'll be posting George's initial understanding of Transformers on CineCringe when? Signed -- A Salty 80s Kid

samuel Jakob

Even tho they arent the best movies I still enjoy 1-2 alot, 3 also has some cool scene but I dont like it as much, 5 is also fun because of a certain little character I enjoyed alot Anyway the arrival of the Autobots is one of my favorite scenes ever.

Black Heart Games

Don't know if you guys ended up looking it up, but Megatron is played by Hugo Weaving. Just thought it might surprise you. :) Also, definitely watch Revenge of the Fallen, I think it's one of the few instances of the sequel being better than the original. These movies remind me of cheesy 80s action and I'm okay with it.

Martin Nicholls

Well there's a movie I didn't know I wanted to see today. "More of a Japanese thing" - lol Takra toys is HQed in Tokyo, transformers are, in fact, Japanese in origin. I feel like this series of movies is underappreciated - they do tail out until the reboot (Age of Extinction), but they're still alright, but they're almost an object of ridicule that isn't deserved. Also Micheal Bay's style often works and this is definitely one of those times. The CGI isn't just good but it has held up which is a pretty remarkable achievement, the soundtrack is great, and it keeps flowing mostly, for sure some bits are cheesy but.. The rest are certainly worth seeing, though I actually haven't seen Bumblebee which I'm vaguely sure is another reboot/spinoff, but I've heard good things? My favourite Michael Bay movie is still Pain and Gain - fite me.

JediLounger

Based on your reaction to the movie so far, you guys should keep watching Bay movies lol. Only a few of them are good, but they will all make good reactions haha. They are all very easy to riff on. Another Hasbro property I would check out is Battleship (2012). Not a great movie, but lots of wild action with decent effects and easy to to riff on. All of the main transformers movies are pretty bad. I guess the best ones are 1 and 3? But they all follow the same formula, if you watch all 5 by the end of it you won’t be able to say what events happen in which movie, except I guess for the third one. It has some “unique” aspects to it. But they are all better suited for Cinecringe. Bumblebee (2018) is pretty good though, I would check that one out.

Adam Barry

In response to George asking about the lore of Transformers, the movies are VERY different from the original cartoon series. In the original series, the Autobots and Decepticons crash to Earth in a spacecraft millions of years ago and are knocked into stasis. In modern times the ship is awakened and a probe launches and scans various items around Earth and reprograms their transformations. For the Autobots, Optimus Prime is a semi truck, Bumblebee is a VW Beetle (hence the Beetle in the car yard in the movie), Jazz is a Porsche and Ironhide is a Jeep. For the Decepticons, Megatron is a gun and Starscream is a jet. When Megatron transforms he shrinks and Starscream shoots him. And in terms of the largest Transformer, that would have to be Unicron. He is literally a planet.

Theoshin

I don't think i saw anyone post it, but i wouldn't mind a reaction to the 1986 Transformers movie.

BND

this is one of the few Michael Bay movies I actually enjoy

BHillzebub

Totally agree. Transformers: The Movie (1986) is an 80's classic with music to match.

Young Blood Priest

Ricky Ricardo was a character on the tv show I Love Lucy. He was played by Desi Arnez husband of Lucille Ball

Odd Thomas

Hugo Weaving was indeed Megatron but he bad-mouthed the movie so was fired and, ironically, replaced in the sequels by the guy who voiced Megatron in the original cartoon

Ian Forbes

Michael Bay movies: Yes, he has a type (Megan Fox for part of the series) and he will sexualize that part with the utmost of camera focus; American flags and military; shooting almost exclusively at golden hour; spinning camera shots (coupled with a helicopter overhead if at all possible) ; explosions; script/plot quality not the priority. His movies have energy, momentum, and are generally cheesy fun where it’s mandatory you leave your brain at the door. This is the “best” of the 5 films thus far as each successive film gets less and less coherent and they are constantly changing the timeline and origin of the transformers arrival/discovery on Earth… Bumblebee is the best live-action Transformers movie and not made by Bay … the 80s animated movie is the best of them all and includes the largest transformer (since George wondered about it) but I won’t spoil what that is.

Funny That

Well Red Letter Media reaches a new low. Actually watching Nukie was bad enough, but now a full length rewatch of this transforming trash. That is it Sirs. I'm out!

Gavin Kinsey

All Earth tech was created from reverse engineering Megatron, so that is why when you bring it to life they are always evil. They are all based on Decepticon tech.

W T

"John Turturro is so good" Wait till you watch Severance, freaking amazing show showcasing his range very nicely. Highly recommended and short.

FranciscoGios

If it wasn’t for this movie I wouldn’t know that Linking Park existed.

sarCC

I'm trying to cut down on headaches and eye-rolling, but I hope you two made it through this OK.

The Maestro

So to answer some of your questions, the Autobots are usually automobiles and emergency vehicles and the Decepticons are generally aircraft or military vehicles. There are exceptions. the transformers seem to have a certain size to them but do modify themselves based on what the transform into like Optimus and Megatron have always been huge but original Megatron transformed into a gun for someone else to use, also the biggest transformer is Unicron who is planet sized and who's voice was also the final acting roll of Orson Welles for the original animated film in the 80s. there are a few Feminine transformers in the series, I can't remember if any feature in the movies but they do exist. The fighter jet taking off into space at the end was Starscream, he was the one destroying those other jets in the final battle, he is one of he top bad guys under Megatron and is known to be really scheming and opportunistic

Steve Mercier

...sigh...why? Why would you do this? To yourselves? To us? To the internet? Michael Bay just...he just sucks. He just really, really sucks. I'm gonna get some hate for this, but fuck it. Michael Bay sucks. And for some stupid reason, I'm gonna watch this. Because I hate myself. Fuck. Maybe I suck. God...? Are you out there? Hello? Buddha? Anyone?

DM DC

So I for one really like the first one. I think it has a good plot, the effects are just fantastic. The characters are fun. The rest are a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. But they go down hill not in special effects quality, all are pretty awesome in that reguard, but in the quality of the storytelling. The stories get so conveluted, and in my mind they essentially rehash the same plot of the first film, with just different things, But then they complicate it more and more. I liked the third one well enough. The 2nd has the biggest most annoying plot hole in my mind. Honestly I'd say if you like the first at all, stop with the first one. Though I will say Bumble Bee is pretty great. Bumble Bee is a sequal but also a soft reboot if I recall correctly.

Kage Uzumaki

awesome im just here to see people complain about transformers

Pk

Think I have seen the first 3 myself, definitely diminishing returns. I have been wanting to watch Bumblebee since it came out, just never gotten to it.. happy to watch that for the first time

Logan Kerlee

Ricky Ricardo is Lucy from I Love Lucy's husband. xD I would like it a lot if you both continued on through the series - they get uber cheesy but they're a lot of fun. I'd for sure enjoy more of the series.

Chris Davies

So just so you're aware, the modern transformers movies do not represent the quality of transformers in a general sense. Starting with this movie being your first experience with the transformers franchise is equivalent to if someone's first experience with star trek was the newest tv shows, or if someone was to watch the live action remakes of disney movies first instead of the animated ones, or watching the newest star wars movies instead of the originals. These newer transformers movies are really that bad in comparison to the 1980's transformers. You really should watch the 1980's animated movie.

Saraliese

The 1980's animated movie is the best imo. I think you guys would love the soundtrack.

Jeb Manning

I actually wouldn't mind seeing you guys react to the original series like you did with Avatar the Last Airbender. It's a goofy 80's cartoon but still pretty good.

Jon

Hey I'm pretty sure the cop who was doggin Sam at the police station was played by the guy who played George Luz in Band of Brothers.

Foodassassin4life

Lol!!! Love the intro! Hope Simone sent George that video

benjamin freeman

congrats Cinebinge on achieving the most toxic patreon community I've ever seen! your supporters are pathetic cry baby's.

Jay

Toxic? What are you talking about? I don't read every thread but I don't recall ever seeing patrons abusing each other in the comments section. I see lots of people slagging Transformers here but surely that's allowed? Or can we only say good things about the films posted?

Justin Wolford

I will say personally i dont hate any of the transformers movies but none of the sequels are as good as the first except for "Bumblebee"which is a prequel and is on par with the first one despite john cenas acting which i personally dont care for.

Justin Wolford

On a side note i dont understand the need to make a spectacle of not liking something. Just say you like or dislike something and why then move on. Not everyone is going to like or dislike the same things, be respectful of eachother this isnt a Call of Duty chat this level of toxicity is uncalled for. Be thankful you are able to be apart of a community that loves movies and gets to share them with eachother.

Benjamin Lundy

Whoof, I forgot how bad this movie was. Everything is so over-the-top, it's just two hours of noise.

Gary Fixler

I wish I had a nickel for every time I've heard about how some movie over the last 20+ years was terrible, but visually beautiful. Obviously, it's easy to make visually stunning things, because we do it constantly, but very difficult to make a really amazing, compelling, satisfying story, because we fail at it more often than not.

Dave van der Kuyp

This is one of those movies that make me cringe. Not about the movie. The first transformers movie is a fun time, barring some awkward megan fox writing. But about my reaction at the time to the following movies. Man I was a little teenage B*tch back then. Jeez. Suck it up, old-me. It's a movie you don't like. You didn't have to act like such a douche about it.

Death Rite Aero

Ive been a huge Transformers fan ever since i was little. Not just the live action movies, but the whole franchise. The Michael Bay movies are unfortunately not perfect, but they are super fun to watch if you just want to see badass Transformers kick ass! The best way to describe the Michael Bay movies, is to watch them like a Godzilla movie. Watch them for the badass robots, and not the human interactions. Anyways, i really do recommend watching the whole series, because they are still very fun to watch!

Onno Smits

I'd say Bumblebee could be a fun reaction, though not sure how good it'd do on YouTube. Other than that, I don't think the remaining Transformers movies are really worth it. Continuing with some of your other half-completed movie-series, or just some new stuff, is probably more worth it, imho.

Nate Terry

I mean, they are fun to watch. big blockbuster movies typically are. Both George and Simone seemed to really enjoy it. they didn't go 2 mins at anytime in the movie without one if not both of them laughing.
