I really appreciate all the extra work you put in to make sure you'd still have content to post during your break. Also since you are not coughing in your travel videos I hope you got over the thing before you left, George. Edit - George mentions liking Lance Reddick. He is also in Fringe which should be on your list of shows to react to.

Guillermo Antonio Ricci Alvarez

I want to recommend the movie Wasabi (2001) I know not many people saw this movie and box office didn't cover the budget, but is a really good movie starring Jean Reno which I think you'll like and I hope many reactors start watching as well

Odd Thomas

Love the first JW but by the third one it was just one long action sequence and as great as the choreography is, I just got bored. Plus, Halle Berry. It's like watching someone play a great video game but they never give you the controller.

Daniel Popp

Lance Reddick also a great voice actor, and does a great job as an LA police captain in "Bosch".

Martin Nicholls

Baltimore, then deputy chief of police in LA (Bosch - there is some relationship between The Wire and Bosch in terms of both cast, crew and some of the writing staff, though I massively prefer Bosch myself), then Fringe Division - not type cast at all I don't know what you're talking about. I love Lance Reddick, his range is so wide, but he does absolutely nail playing cops or cop adjacent. Also 4 is out next month, pressing refresh a lot on my local cinema's site for tickets to opening night. I won't spoil it because some people don't even like cast spoilers, but I'm hyped. They said they have story ideas for a ridiculous number of movies if it comes down to it, and there are far worse positions to be in than to need them. On the fall two things - though they don't explicitly say it, it seems to me that Winston was playing the odds on John surviving the fall, he didn't seem even vaguely perturbed by the fact his body was gone like he knew there was a strong chance of him surviving, on the actual survival, people have lived through much worse falls than that and people have died falling a couple of feet, there's only so far you can fall before you stop accelerating, it's more about _how_ you fall than from what height though I'd expect at least _some_ broken bones.

Arthur

Nice, great time to re-watch this in preparation for Chapter 4.

Astraeos

So you'll watch this 3rd movie without a poll, but not Goldmember and many others? Or did this poll happen a month or two ago and I missed it?

lumpycoal

^here we see in the wild a Patron becoming confused when a content creator makes choices on their own, doing what they want to do every once in a while, as if they're actual human beings. The Patron will proceed to ask pointless rhetorical questions like "so you'll do the thing i personally like less but not the thing i personally like more?"

Odd Thomas

You want to know a fun film with Lance Reddick in? The Guest.

Spacedone

Is that mug big enough, Simone?

Onno Smits

Fun fact about this movie: All the glass of the display cases with the knives in that weapon-shop fight, it's all CGI. Also, yes George, "Guns... Lots of guns..." is an homage to Neo's famous line in the original The Matrix movie. It was also featured heavily in the promotional trailers for John Wick: Chapter 3 for that very reason, I think.

Onno Smits

I'm not a gun guy, but I find a certain joy in knowing there's such a thing as the Internet Movie Firearms Database. 😅 That has the same vibe as that catalog which tracks for every videogame if there's a dog in it, and if so, if there's an option to pet it. 🐶

Jonathan Ly

loved all 3 movies, but i think the second is still my favorite. Stupid excited for the 4th one though.

Logan Kerlee

Really enjoyed this one! I chose to watch this for the first time with the both of you and I enjoyed doing so. There were a few times where you both were talking during moments where I'd of liked to hear what was going on onscreen but it's all good, I still understood everything. :) This movie's fight choreography was next level cool, yet again. John Wick films don't fail in that. Solid movie that was a lot of fun to watch! xD Both of your reactions were fun as well. Happy to have watched it with you both!

Odd Thomas

For the record, 'gun-fu' has been used long before John Wick. Equilibrium with Christian Bale, for example.

Tenn Seven

Never watched this one just because John Wick 2 was so unbelievably stupid. Maybe I'll watch this one along with you guys.

JediLounger

You guys seemed to enjoy Mark Dacascos and his weird personality. I would check out Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001), that was the movie that made me aware of him.

George, If you were with me, you wouldn't be here in this strip club shaking it for dollar bills!

🖤I've never seen any John Wick movies until recently. Those times were watching along to these reactions to the first one 4 days ago, and the second one the day before yesterday. I was definitely looking forward to you two eventually doing a reaction to part 3 but had no idea there was already a reaction for it in the queue ready to be posted so soon... But here it is, and here I am... So let's make like a candle and light this John Wick (I'll also see myself out for that joke which was a reach at best lollll)

Monica Alarcon

My version had a different intro, italian subtitles and ran a bit faster... I think I'm going to cancel my subscription to.... Neatflix???

micah

shout out boban! the guy in the first fight is in the nba and he's universally loved by everyone

John Wick 3 references/pays homage to a couple of classic movies that I highly recommend you check out. The scene where John assembles a revolver from parts from several guns is a direct reference to a similar scene in "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" (1966) - arguably the best western ever made. One of the main inspirations for the Continental Hotels in the John Wick films is “Rick’s Place”, which is a nightclub and the main set in “Casablanca" (1942). The whole Morocco trip in John Wick 3 is an homage to "Casablanca," which is simply the OG romantic drama. It's the epitome of the golden age of Hollywood and is also one of the most quotable movies in history.

Gary Fixler

I was surprised they forgot that line. That always seemed a really memorable one in my world. I feel like the shootout around the pillars with Halle Berry had a few callbacks to the bank shootout from the first Matrix, too. It's been so many years, I'm curious to see if any of the shots are direct remakes.

Nicodemus Archleone

Mark Dacascos, the actor who plays the bald sushi chef villain, is an underrated martial arts performer. The fight scenes in the 1997 movie Drive are worth checking out. - https://youtu.be/WBR9iqupiqo

Michael Kemmet

I find it amusing that Dacascos is being referred to as the sushi chef villain when he used to play the role of The Chairman on Iron Chef America. :) (I'm sure that's another deliberate reference/homage by the filmmakers.)

Wearing black in the desert is exactly as bad as wearing white, and any kind of clothing is preferred to the alternative - not wearing any dang clothing at all. Yes, black fabric heats up slightly faster, but that also means it's radiating off energy quickly... so much so, that brighter items would end up at a lower temperature after once cycle. Just a bit of rectifiaction to one of many urban myths, there's a reason why many desert tribes in many nations wear both bright and dark clothing - it just really doesn't matter.

Samuel Preston

FYI. Parabellum could refer to 9mm Parabellum. It is the caliber of his primary handgun.

Lance Reddick, Charon, passed away today. really sad. They aren't sure how he died yet, but apparently it appeared to be natural. He was only 60 years old though. there are a few more movies coming out that he will be in that finished filming like John Wick 4, White Men Can't Jump(guess this is a remake), and it looks like he was going to play Zeus in the new Percy Jackson series.

Greg Delaney

"SOMEBODY GET RID OF THIS FUCKING WOMAN" lmao yo george is a low key pimp

UncleGaGa1979

This new crop of action movies that are directed by fight choreographers and stuntmen like Chad Staheski,, Sam Hargrave (Extraction), Gareth Evans (The Raid 1 and 2) and David Leitch (Atomic Blonde, Bullet Train) have been some of the best action movies in recent times.

Mike Kay

Imagine how different everything would have gone for John Wick if he had stopped at a different gas station in the first place. Dog still alive, etc...

Mike Kay

This movie has some of the best fight scenes and stunts that I have ever seen. Amazingly entertaining!
