Oh my Bruce, the thumbnail sums up so much of your comedy reactions :D

JediLounger

Their copy has no company logos. So start your copy and roll past those.

King_Panarisi

Ah finally have been waiting a long time for this one, now it's just The Wolf of Wallstreet and my life will be complete.

Jim Frykman

Simone's "trivia" in the intro has me excited for the inevitable unbearable weight of massive talent.

Adam Barry

I do recommend following this up with the sequel, Evan Almighty. Can never have too much Morgan Freeman as God.

Guillermo Antonio Ricci Alvarez

Yes, the sequel can be watched...many compared it too much with the original but they only use the same general idea so can't be compared. Also, this is one of the earliest characters where Steve Carrell had several lines so he was still credited as Steven Carrell

Jim Frykman

This was a great treat, and I like the way that George's cookie crumbles!

Rob Parry

I think it's been recommended before but gonna recommend again Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind from 2004 is a must for any Jim Carey fan

BND

"The Dark Ages were only dark for Europe" Okay, they were still dark though LOL

Michael

Eternal sunshine is probably my favorite Jim Carey movie, Charlie Kaufman is a genius.

samuel Jakob

Such a fun movie, I love it so much, I can also recommend Evan Allmighty its also really funny, I like this one more but I just love Jim, Even is really fun aswell tho.

Odd Thomas

I actually thought Evan Almighty was better. This is Carrey on autopilot.

I'm not an historian, but I've seen plenty of medieval historians argue that the Dark Ages really weren't worth the name. It's just a name Francesco Petrarca gave to the few centuries preceding him because they weren't Rome -- which he thought was The Shit. The name found resonance in others as well, but culture, literature, technology etc. continued to be developed even in the Middle Ages. Funny joke, tho, from God and George both.

I've always liked this movie, but I kind of took issue with the idea of Bruce challenging God so much that he was given his powers, and my issue was simply because Bruce's life was not that bad, honestly it was kind of perfect! He had a great apartment in New York City with his girlfriend who looked like Jennifer Aniston and their adorable dog. He had a decent career, which wasn't perfect as he wasn't progressing as much as he liked but that's such a universal problem anyway. Honestly most people would love to have his life! I get that that's the point, to show that he should be focusing on the good things in his life...but his life was SO good. Why would God focus on him to teach him that lesson? just because he challenged him after a rough day. Well, George has solved my one issue with this movie with his fan theory! lol That actually is quite clever, God wasn't responding to Bruce, he was responding to Grace.

James O'Sullivan

You were right on the black and white movie, so I'm going to throw in an early suggestion of "It's a Wonderful Life" if you want a classic Christmas tearjerker

Logan Kerlee

Had so much fun watching this with you both! :) Great reaction for sure.

Luca

simone was right. that was the clock tower from back to the future. many movies have been shot there, including gremlins for example

FranciscoGios

Jennifer Anniston is a likable actress, I'm probably the only one but I think she’s always been a hot chick.

Logan Nelson

You are definitely the only one... imean who can even stand her!?!? (dripping with sarcasm)

Tom Ekstrand

Love this movie. The actress who played his producer, former SNL member Nora Dunn, is the sister of my high school baseball coach.

Tom Ekstrand

I had a relationship like Bruce's to Grace in my life that I sadly lost. But 32 years later I married her! And BTW Evan Almighty absolutely sucked and is not worth your time. BUT... next December, put It's a Wonderful Life!!!!!

iOmegaTron

I would love to see your reactions to Jim Carrey's serious roles. In particular, "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" as well as "The Number 23"!

Tyler Mckenzie

I actually like Evan Almighty just because of Lauren Graham

Isabelle Xena Autumn

Thank you Jim Carrey for teaching child me how to spell B-E-A-U-TIFUL (I honestly still spell it out that way when I have to spell it lmao)

James Lawson

Ahh i love that the screen for it is Simone crying and George laughing. Standard :D

Tay Schumaker

Interesting story, they actually had to change the phone number to the super Hollywood 555-0123 because they used a real number originally and so many people called it they had to change it

Hovila

I'm pretty sure there's no added laugh track during the bloopers, it's just the crew laughing. I'd imagine there's a lot of people watching/listening the actors and probably having the time of their lives when Jim Carrey gets going.

Amelie W

If I was almighty. . .I wouldn't keep people guessing. I wouldn't let them live by fear and superstition. I would write my law in letters of fire across the sky for all the world to see. Nothing complicated, I think. Just some "Don't profit from other people's misery", "Question what you think you know and why you think you know it", "Tear the prisons down", "Act like life on Earth is the only life you know" sort of stuff. By the way how weird is it "1990s movies with Jennifer Anniston as the guy's love interest who has to guide him towards growing a conscience" are practically their own genre?
