Sweeps is like what networks do to get ratings up, a popular story will bring in more viewers, that's basically what sweeps is.

Yes. Yes Man is closer to fun Jim Carrey and is enjoyable.

Yep. Or like, I know when The Office was going, that's generally when they'd do like a "supersized" episode that was 40 minutes instead of 22, or whatever. Sweeps episodes are always promoted as being "event" episodes.

I can't wait to watch this later because I love pretty much anything with Jim Carrey but I once again have to have HAVE TO implore you to please add Jim Carrey's Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind to one of your next polls. It is an unforgettable and beautiful film!!

The sequel "Evan Almighty" is even better.

If your looking for another Jim Carrey movie I would suggest Yes Man, The Grinch might also be good for a Christmas movie.

I wanted to see the Clint Eastwood part! I forgot about the anal-dwelling butt monkey line too!

“Letters From Iwo Jima.” Great movie.

Possibly missed references (mostly 80s commercials): The Clapper jingle Morgan Freeman sang was from a series of commercials on TV all the time in the 80s. I love how if you roll over the timeline here on a computer, clearly everyone has been replaying that bit over and over: https://youtu.be/3lBWjLJeKkQ?t=40 The older man singing in the fancy restaurant was Tony Bennett, who was huge in his day (he has 20 Grammy Awards). He's still alive, and 96 years old. The YAWEH! yodel when he went to the computer was the YAHOO! commercial sign-off tune from the early internet days, at least here in the US, heard in the last 2 seconds here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WXgaUod1rCs You've got prayers! - I think you both knew that one. Juan Valdez showing up outside his window at the computer desk is a reference to a long-running series of commercials for that brand of coffee, featuring Juan and his burro wandering the country farms, picking the best beans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fLKYoH1xS4

Click with Adam Sandler was another movie billed as a comedy but ends up having very real lessons. Won’t say more without spoilers but highly recommend watching that one!
