Edna Mode is voiced by Brad Bird, who directed the movie. One of my favorite voice performances EVER.

Great postscript. Jack-Jack’s teenage years would have been cool. But they did a direct sequel (as in opening on the Underminer fight). They only had to recast Dash.

Yep. It was supposed to be Lily Tomlin, too, but when Bird gave her an example for what he had in mind for the character she told him he should just do it himself because his take was already perfect.

Indeed the score is absolutely fantastic, and very underrated. Few people notice it, while it gives strong tones of old 007 movies.

still have this on VHS :D the sequel is also really good, didnt expect it to be that good since there was so much time between the two movies

Fun fact about (the amazing) Michael Giacchino who did the score for The Incredibles (and many other films you have covered) is that he likes to title his songs as puns. Some highlights from this film is Dash’s chase scene is called The 100 Mile Dash, and the end credits is called The Incredits. Once you know , this it is a fun activity to look up after you see his films/tv shows. My personal favorite is one from LOST about a certain characters funeral!🤣

I don't know if this is a comment made from the producers of the movie or just a popular fan theory, but the idea of Jack-Jack having a lot of random powers is that he's the "jack of all trades." Or the jack-jack of all trades, I guess. lol

If you want to see more of the baby's powers, there's a Disney Short called Jack-Jack Attack. It's everything that happened to the babysitter while the rest of the family was away.

From what I remember, the two old men seen talking to each other were two veteran animators from Disney lending their voices and likeness, thought I should mention it. Also Brad Bird had I believe directed several Simpsons episodes, and I think he also animated Krusy the Clown on several occasions.

Incredibles 2 is terrific, and gives you *both* more of Edna and more of the baby. I highly recommend it. I think everyone recognized the Fantastic Four in the Incredibles, but I don't think it's what Brad Bird had in mind. His ideas were more like what George was saying -- dads have to be strong, moms are pulled in all directions, etc.
